Because he's better than 95% of wrestlers in the west
Yet he won't draw a dime.

Re: Did You Know WALTER & Jinny...

I did know this. I saw something on the social media a while ago, but it's definitely akin to the Aleister Black & Zelina Vega marriage, they seem so opposite in characters and personalities that you wouldn't put them together, but there we go!

Re: Jun Akiyama to make AEW debut on next Rampage

Another old Japanese wrestler? Why? Akiyama is a real, actual legend, and this appears to be only his second match in the US. If I were able to go this show, this would draw me, as he is my favorite of the 90s AJPW guys. That being said, it's not ROH bringing in Kobashi or Misawa, which is what I t...

Re: Colt Cabana reportedly not returning to AEW full time

The Superman Pin, I think, depends on how it is sold by the person taking it. That being said, nothing else you've said is wrong. He's not going to make anyone pay to see him and he won't move the needle on his own, but he's the sort of guy who because of his history, when used in the right spot in...

Re: Colt Cabana reportedly not returning to AEW full time

I don't think that's fair. He's very good, and can be valuable when used in the right way. Gabe was excellent at this. But Gabe isn't there. I just think he's done too much to hurt the business. Everything from his smiling face to some of the joke wrestling he's done and his bullshit "superman...

Re: Nick Aldis says he has given NWA his notice

I can see Nick Aldis' point here. When they were resurfacing in 2019 with the Youtube show and other things, the direction looked good, Nick Aldis was at the front of it was NWA Champion and it was going well, but then they just stalled and stuck exactly as they are. If I'm Nick, I'm at my prime and...

I would call what he did with TNA to be successful for the first few years at least.

Re: Road Dogg says Billy Gunn texted ‘I’m in’ for WWE DX reunion, not happy he wasn’t there

Well.. Uncle Dave appears to clear this up... Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW President Tony Khan had agreed to let Gunn appear on the show but requested that WWE mention him working for AEW live on the air, which WWE ultimately denied. He wrote: “Khan agreed to l...

Re: Road Dogg says Billy Gunn texted ‘I’m in’ for WWE DX reunion, not happy he wasn’t there

If he really thought Tony would let him show up, he's a moron. In fairness, Tony allowed Jericho & Danielson to make small recent videos for WWE television, so not unheard of. Ah. I didn’t realize this. Stuff actually on TV, or just talking heads for a Network doc? As Thelone said, it was some ...

Re: Your all time "Mount Rushmore" of wrestling managers

This is the only one where I feel like not having a solidly-defined criteria makes it nigh-impossible: Cornette, Heenan, Heyman, Jimmy Hart. It is very broad. There are probably the right decisions there. Those four were all probably the best talkers, at least 3 of them were. Heyman is probably sti...

Re: WWE Seeking Operations Manager To Handle “Conflicting Egos” With Talent

Is this a rib? This has to be a rib. The timing is too good not to be. Well... they just brought Strowman back, and there is a rumored Bray Wyatt return, so maybe not? And that's on top of Charlotte and Rousey, plus anyone else I'm forgetting and/or that we don't know about. I’m not saying it’s not...

Re: Your all time "Mount Rushmore" of Tag Teams

Just found a post of mine from 2013... which I feel fits exactly what I wrote above. Hey everybody! I would like to know your first favourite wrestler(s), not the guy(s) you think is best now or has been the best over the last 20 years, or even your favourite growing up... I want to know who was the...

I mean, if I ran a competitor company that constantly allowed its employees to make digs about my friend's company to our joint customers. I don't think we'd be considered friends for very long.
