BRM Reviews Terminus 3

Terminus 3 (7/21/2022)- Atlanta, GA Your commentary team tonight is Dave Prazak and Ian Riccaboni. KAUN vs. CHEESEBURGER- 4.75/10 Cheeseburger is exactly the kind of person I didn’t want to see in Terminus. They started the match with a spot playing off the first spot of their match at Supercard of ...

Re: All Out Post-Show Discussion Thread

What is your sourcing for this? Everything I've heard said that Cody and Brandi were very divisive. I do remember the articles about "the Rhodes being bad" to be rather broad and vague while when you were talking to the wrestlers directly, pretty much all of them lauded the Rhodes. I thin...

Re: BRM Reviews the 9/21/2022 Dynamite (Grand Slam 2022)

I also really hope they’re going to be announcing an ROH TV show soon, because this Jericho/Garcia/Danielson story is probably the best thing you could put on it to try to bring in AEW viewers. Dragon winning the title from Jericho of all people, after Jericho tries to turn ROH into Ring of Enterta...

Re: All Out Post-Show Discussion Thread

But on the Hobbs exclusion, I’d have Hobbs do something really heinous to Starks like attack him backstage and then have Starks cost Hobbs that match somehow even just a distraction. Starks is visibly smaller, he’d have been wronged and therefore more underdog and fans will enjoy it and accept it. ...

BRM Reviews the 9/21/2022 Dynamite (Grand Slam 2022)

ROH WORLD TITLE MATCH: Claudio Castagnoli(c) vs. Chris Jericho- 6.75/10 Ian Riccaboni joined the commentary team for this match. Chris Jericho actually complied with the pre-match handshake… right after Tony Schiavone said he wasn’t surprised that Jericho wouldn’t shake hands. Oh, Tony. Never right....

Re: All Out Post-Show Discussion Thread

I'm willing to excuse the title tournament entrants due to the combination of the circumstances around it and the fact that there is a theme with the entrants which makes sense, and everyone involved is the best fit with that theme. Tony did a good job with that. Otherwise, you wind up in a position...

Re: All Out Post-Show Discussion Thread

The reason we don't get the promised "sports-like presentation" is because... well... I think Tony's an idiot and in his mind that meant "we'll keep records, and have rankings!," where as the rest of us heard that and actually expected those things to matter and be done in a log...

Re: All Out Post-Show Discussion Thread

It is becoming crystal clear why Rhodes left since he was the only serious adult trying to do something constructive, and most likely quickly put on the side by the other Elite guys and Tiny himself, hence why we ended up with the Codyverse that barely had any relations with the rest of the show. I...

Re: All Out Post-Show Discussion Thread

Agree with all sentiments. But here’s the thing… The difference in Cody and Punk is clear. Cody is political, and chose to not put up with the idiotic grown up children, so he just picked up his ball and quietly went to the WWE with barely a word spoken. Punk isn’t going to do that, and he doesn’t ...

Re: All Out Post-Show Discussion Thread

Ross has the experience managing these situations, he wouldn't be required to talk wrestling to them, but rather finding solutions and finding ways to work with and around guys that have issues. If wrestlers aren't prepared to listen to JR, then the problem isn't with JR, it's with the wrestler. Ad...

Re: All Out Post-Show Discussion Thread

My opinion is that Tony Khan needs Jim Ross. JR is someone who has been head of talent relations in the biggest wrestling company in the world, in the biggest boom period at a time with the biggest egos and he helped made it work. If I was TK, I would be getting my chequebook out and saying to JR, ...

AEW GRAND SLAM TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS SEMIFINAL MATCH: Jon Moxley vs. Sammy Guevara- 6.5/10 Why is it called a “tournament of champions” if no one in the tournament is currently a champion? No way it's a work... ams even if it was, would the money the future matches would draw really be worth sacricing Punk vs. MJF, the Trios Titles legitimacy, and Punk, Omega, and the Bucks' presence on TV at a time when they need ratings for a new TV deal? In hindsight , Tony's comments clearly refe...
