Re: BRM Reviews the 6/24/2020 AEW (bad)

Moxley has been a complete afterthought since he won the belt, only facing "flavor of the month" since then. The guy is at best the third most important thing on the show behind the Cody wankfest and whatever Jericho/Bucks/Omega are doing on a particular week. I might even put the Dark Order stuff ...

Re: Impact terminates relationship with Tessa Blanchard, title vacated

I don't think they need her in the division. This is the division where they like to think of themselves as being all woke and progressive, and bringing in the lady accused of bullying and using the N-word doesn't fit that. Charlotte, Becky, Sasha, Bayley, Asuka, Mia Yim, Rhea, Candice, Io, Nattie,...

Re: Impact terminates relationship with Tessa Blanchard, title vacated

I think they'll need a few years of her proving that she's mature and/or not a headcase before taking her. it's all about how big of a dollar sign they see above her head, but unfortunately for her, she's cooled off because of the pandemic. WWE will deal with her as long as she makes them money I d...

Re: BRM Reviews the 6/24/2020 AEW (bad)

I don't think anyone cared about seeing Moxley face some jobber. you overestimate how much people care for wrestling over just seeing the person appear. Possibly, but doesn't that basically mean that Moxley is the draw for this show rather than Cody, Jericho, FTR, Matt, or any of the other big-name...

Finally, Ligero and Travis Banks have been fired from WWE.
I read this too quickly and started to wonder what Finlay had done.

Re: The Funny Wrestling Topic

It probably doesn't help that I thought the movie was an interesting speculative fiction concept that then took a very blah turn into a generic story about class struggle. I was hoping for something a lot more unique. I liked the movie for what it was, but aside from maaaaybe a prequel about how th...

Re: Michael Elgin not appearing in any further Impact programming

That's an oddly specific way of phrasing it. Like they're purposely leaving themselves a window to have him stay on in some sort of backstage role. may be more of a contract problem right now, maybe they're going to wait out the contract and can't straight up say that he's fired. Slammiversary is o...

Re: Impact terminates relationship with Tessa Blanchard, title vacated

Again... WWE turned her down before because they thought she was a total headcase. This will only prove it to them. but back then she was just an indie old school wrestler's daughter, now she has more credentials and popularity. The latter of which WWE is really interested in. Either way, she ain't...

Re: BRM Reviews the 6/24/2020 AEW (bad)

Ratings took a pretty big hit, so looks like people don't wanna see Cody the pseudo top star, goofy Jericho slumming it down with a lower midcarder, seemingly hotshotting everything with the """best""" team in the world, pummeling this Baker thing into the ground, and trying with Shawn Spears for t...

Re: The Funny Wrestling Topic

I’ve decided that biggest factor in determining the winner for which show is better every Wednesday should be determined by whether I am more annoyed by TNT’s constant plugs of Snowpiercer or USA’s constant plugs of Dirty John. show names alone, I can hear the name Snowpiercer about 10 times a day,...

Re: Impact terminates relationship with Tessa Blanchard, title vacated

I'm pretty sure AEW's not going to bring her in due to the whole N-word thing. I'd also like to think that doing this makes her someone that no company should hire for quite a while. She has clearly proven herself unreliable. Remember that WWE passed on her because they thought she was a headcase. ...

Re: Impact terminates relationship with Tessa Blanchard, title vacated

I wouldn’t expect this of Tessa. Shocking behaviour. IMPACT! Didn’t ask for much, and yet they got zilch. I guess her dad will be having a word in Tony Khan’s ear now. I'm pretty sure AEW's not going to bring her in due to the whole N-word thing. I'd also like to think that doing this makes her som...

LUMBERJACK MATCH: Wardlow (w/MJF) vs. Luchasaurus (w/Jungle Express)- 1.5/10 So they’re doing a Lumberjack match… except they have no one standing on the side of the ring with the ramp and the stage. If someone wanted to run out that way, there are no lumberjacks there to stop them, completely under...

Re: Impact terminates relationship with Tessa Blanchard, title vacated

Good for them. Not sending in a promo is total f*cking bullsh*t, especially when there is a pandemic going on so it's not like you're out wrestling or on vacation or anything. I just hope she has enough respect for the business to send them the belt back.

Re: A definitive list of everyone who's been accused of sexual assault so far.

The last few years, absolutely, but as recently as 2016 they were using a lot of fly-ins, and in 2017 they flew all of their guys to the UK for it. true, probably still riding on some saved up money and good grace of the industry. They managed to afford The Bucks and Styles on 2015. But he didn't f...
