In my opinion, its a shame that neither won a World title & because of their hard work & wrestling history I think it would be a great match...Styles wrote:Can I ask why? (I'm not picking, I'm just curious. Their styles are a bit mismatched is all?)ECWFlairfan wrote:Arn Anderson v Chavo Guerrero

Re: 2 Men holding WWE, WCW & World Heavyweight Championship
Bottom line here, at least for me, is that if you consider your lineage to be a continuance of another, you list the previous as part of your history... WWE for whatever reason doesn't do this on wwe.com & why they talk about it in their "World title history DVD" is beyond me... if I w...

Re: 2 Men holding WWE, WCW & World Heavyweight Championship
You have this all wrong. WWE and the AWA do not consider their titles to be new titles. They considered their world title to be the rightful lineage of the NWA World Title from the time of the break on. Not being part of the NWA doesn't matter. It doesn't change the history or their reasoning. Yet ...

Re: 2 Men holding WWE, WCW & World Heavyweight Championship
The WCW lineage ended with the Rock the night after SS 2001 when Vince McMahon declared the WCW title gone & the Rock as the World champion. That was the title that was unified with the WWE title then held by Stone Cold Steve Austin at Vengence 2001. So truthfully, Chris Jericho isn't a 2 time ...

Re: 2 Men holding WWE, WCW & World Heavyweight Championship
They refused to recognize the title change. Therefore, according to them Rogers was still the champion, (they didn't say "lets make him our new champ" they said "he is still the champ because we don't recognize him losing the belt) and the only things new about the belt are the name ...

Re: 2 Men holding WWE, WCW & World Heavyweight Championship
And you haven't answered my point. The titles should share until Buddy Rogers loses the belt. And if the WWF World Title and the WCW World Title were unified (which they were)... why shouldn't the WWF belt absorb the lineage of the WCW belt? The NWA title has a lineage & when Thesz won the NWA ...

Re: Will anyone break Dudleys/Team 3D's record?
Actually, given how crappy the current WWE tag team division is (WAY worse than it was when the Dudleys showed up--WWE still cared about tag team wrestling), yes a team like KOW would legitimize the division... Bringing in 1 great team to compete with mostly mediocre teams would not be legitimizing...

Re: 2 Men holding WWE, WCW & World Heavyweight Championship
Let's be honest here for a minute. For all intents and purposes, the NWA World Title DID die when WCW left. Mike Johnson hit the nail right on the head in Forever Hardcore when he said that at that point, the NWA was nothing more than a bunch of indies drawing less than 100 fans, going around, patt...

Re: Will anyone break Dudleys/Team 3D's record?
I disagree. We wouldn't have had the "Tables, Ladders, & Chairs" match... but so what. It is just a damn ladder match with a fancy name. We still would have gotten some super-hardcore ladder-match variant out of E&C, the Hardyz, & someone else (especially if it was a team like...
