BRISCOES PROMO- awesome!
They’re a little annoyed at being made to qualify for the Crockett Cup because they’re the f*cking Briscoes, and they are going to make everyone sorry for pissing them off when they leave a trail of bodies in their wake en route to winning the tournament.

SHANE TAYLOR vs. LUCHASAURUS- 4.5/10
Stuff happened. Taylor won.

SILAS YOUNG & JONATHAN GRESHAM SEGMENT- good
Unfortunately there was an audio screw-up and the replay package they showed to build this up wound up with Taylor’s music as the audio instead of whatever we were supposed to hear.
Silas is backstage cutting a promo on Gresham, who comes up to him and tells Silas to stop talking trash because Silas knows he can’t beat him in a fair fight. People showed up to separate them. This was very well done, feeling human and believable.

MAYU IWATANI & SUMIE SAKAI vs. KATIE FORBES & MAZZERATI- 4/10
Tenille Dashwood joined Ian Riccaboni and Caprice Coleman on commentary for this match. She also told everyone she was cleared to return to action. The heels’ entrance took WAY too long. The announcers buried them for over-sexualizing themselves, with Ian Riccaboni indignantly telling us “this is not what we want to see in Women of Honor!”
The match was very meh.

P.J. BLACK PROMO- very good
He says his loss to Bandido was an “eye-opener” and he’s going to rethink his actions and be a babyface again. He has a rematch against Bandido next week.

CROCKETT CUP QUALIFYING MATCH: Briscoes vs. Jeff Cobb & Willie Mack- 7.5/10
Nick Aldis replaced Tenille Dashwood as the third person in the booth for this match. The action here was very good, but I don’t need to see Willie Mack in ROH ever again, and doubly so if he’s going to keep doing these Steve Austin spots. It makes him look like a guy playing wrestler rather than a serious professional wrestler in his own right.

Another passable episode of ROH, but only barely.
