BRM Reviews ROH A Night of Appreciation

ROH A Night Of Appreciation (4/27/2002)- Philadelphia, PA

DA HIT SQUAD vs. PRINCE NANA & SIMPLY LUSCIOUS (w/Elax) vs. THE CHRISTOPHER STREET CONNECTION (Allison Danger)- 1/10. Really didn’t like this. It was a mindless semi-squash, and there were a few things that should have been DQ’s. The best part of this was hearing Corino try to do commentary while his legit sister tried to make out with his legit girlfriend.

TONY MAMALUKE vs. JAY BRISCOE (w/Mark Briscoe)- 6 /10

QUIET STORM vs. JOEY MATTHEWS & CHRISTIAN YORK- 5.5/10

SCOOT ANDREWS vs. XAVIER vs. JAMES MARITATO- 6/10

AJ STYLES vs. LOW KI- 8.5/10. Amazing match. If wrestling looks too fake and choreographed to you, you need to see this match. This match looked like it could have taken place in an MMA cage.

THE CARNAGE CREW vs. DUNN & MARCOS- no rating. Good segment. Dunn and Marcos are perfect babyfaces!

CHRISTOPHER DANIELS PROMO- Very good

CHRISTOPHER DANIELS vs. DONOVAN MORGAN- 6.5/10 Great aftermath, too.

GAUNTLET MATCH: Paul London vs. Michael Shane vs. Spanky vs. Bryan Danielson- 7.5/10

EDDIE GUERRERO & AMAZING RED vs. THE S.A.T.- 7/10

BACKSTAGE BRAWL- Great set up for things to come.

Overall, this show was pretty good. Not one of the best, but not bad either, and AJ vs. Low Ki is definitely a must-see match, despite that not exactly being reflected in its rating.

STUPID ANNOUNCER QUOTES:
