ROH Anarchy In The UK (8/13/2006)- Broxbourne, England

OPENING SEGMENT- AWESOME! Aries gets to explain the card shuffle and gets some sympathy from the fans, Dargon gets to be a HUGE jerk, and it sets up for perfectly for the main event, with the fans firmly behind Rodd- WHOA! Didn’t see that coming. SUWA comes out and canes Dragon in the ribs. I didn’t like this part at all. Yes, it makes Dragon put his money where his mouth is (he claimed that, unlike Aries, busted ribs would never stop him from defending his title), but it puts the heel at a disadvantage, which isn’t good booking.

GO SHIOZAKI vs. BJ WHITMER- 7/10.
Great opener. This match contains the sickest knee drop I have ever seen. I was amazed that BJ’s head didn’t burst-open

JIMMY RAVE PROMO- good build up to his match with Doug Williams

SPUD vs. JODY FLEISCH vs. JOHNNY STORM- 6/10

CHRIS HERO PROMO- GREAT! And it transitioned perfectly into…

ROBBIE BROOKSIDE, NIGEL MCGUINNESS, & COLT CABANA vs. CHAD COLLYER & THE KINGS OF WRESTLING (Claudio Castagnoli & Chris Hero)- 6.75/10

DOUG WILLIAMS PROMO- okay

ROH WORLD TITLE MATCH: Bryan Danielson(c) vs. SUWA- 6.5/10

DAVEY RICHARDS & MATT SYDAL PROMO- okay

DOUG WILLIAMS vs. JIMMY RAVE (w/Prince Nana)- 7/10

THE BRISCOE BROTHERS vs. MATT SYDAL & DAVEY RICHARDS- 8.5/10.
AWESOME match, and a star-making performance for Sydal and Davey.

ROH WORLD TITLE MATCH: Bryan Danielson(c) vs. Roderick Strong- 8/10.

Overall, an awesome show from ROH. Like Unified, every match on this card is at least good, with most of them bordering on great. It is extremely light on storyline, though, but that was done by design.

Gotta see this one; Dragon defends the title twice? And I'm a SUWA fan, too after seeing Unified.
