Hey guys,

and now, it's time to take you back to another WCW Moment from 15 years ago this month:

Ric Flair wins the WCW U.S. Heavyweight Title @ WCW Bash at the Beach '96

It was Konnan defending the WCW U.S. Heavyweight Championship against the 5x NWA U.S. Heavyweight Champion-Ric Flair

On April 22, 1996, Flair lost the WCW World Heavyweight Championship to The Giant on WCW Monday NITRO on TNT

But then, @ the Bash @ the Beach, he would challenge Konnan for the U.S. Gold

Konnan and Flair had a Classic Match-Up, but @ the end, Nancy hit Konnan in the eye with her show allowing Ric Flair to win not only his 1st U.S. Title in WCW, but also, in the 35+ year history of the U.S. Heavyweight Championship (NWA/WCW/WWE) Flair became the 1st ever 6x U.S. Heavyweight Champion

He has won the title 5 times in the NWA and once in the WCW, and this was Flair's 1st U.S. Title in WCW and his 1st U.S. Title in 15 1/2 years since losing the belt to Rowdy Roddy Piper

However, in the Fall of '96. Flair suffered a shoulder injury and as a result, Flair was stripped of the U.S. Heavyweight Championship

and now, 15 years later, The U.S. Heavyweight Title is in the hands of Dolph Ziggler

and as for Konnan, he is now wrestling in AAA Wrestling in Mexico

and that's your look @ a moment from 15 years ago this month:

and now, here's a Video Clip to that match:
