-- The relationship between CMLL and ROH has never been stronger! This weekend, fans in the UK and around the globe were buzzing about the ROH return of former CMLL World Heavyweight Champion Ultimo Guerrero and the ROH debuts of CMLL legend Rey Bucanero and high flyers Mistico and Titan during the War of the Worlds Tour! During this tour, ROH star Matt Taven was on his own international tour, as he competed with much success in Mexico for CMLL!

Taven, who will be competing with fellow ROH star Kenny King in the International bracket in the CMLL International Grand Prix, picked up big victories in CMLL this past weekend! Taven, who has developed a rivalry with the legendary Ultimo Guerrero, teamed with New Japan’s Juice Robinson and CMLL World Heavyweight Champion Marco Corleone to defeat Ephesto, Gran Guerrero, and Volador Jr. in Friday’s main event in front of a packed house in the historic Arena Mexico!

Speculation ran rampant when Taven was seconded by the CMLL Champion Corleone in his last bout against Guerrero and the two found chemistry again the next night when on Saturday, when they once again teamed with Robinson in trios action to defeat international superstars Hechicero, Pierroth, and Shocker. What is the relationship between Taven and Corleone? And how does Juice Robinson fit in?

On the final night of the three-day tour, Taven went three for three in main event matches, winning another trios bout, this time teaming with Diamonte Azul and Volador Jr. to defeat Euforia, Mephisto, and Negro Casas. During the bout, Euforia cost his team the bout, getting DQ’ed when in the ring with Taven. Taven demanded a one on one match and the challenge has been accepted! Taven will face Euforia in the main event of Sunday, August 27th’s event in Arena Mexico! Taven will look to go 6-0 on his tour heading into the International Grand Prix, as he will team with former ROH World Champion Michael Elgin and Juice Robinson in two trios matches on Friday August 25th and Saturday August 26th respectively!

Keep it locked in to ROHWrestling.com for more coverage of all the ROH stars who are and will be heading to Mexico to compete for CMLL, including Taven, King, and Flip Gordon! With the relationship growing stronger every day, you never know which ROH stars you will see in CMLL and which CMLL stars you will see in ROH!

-- The international partnership between Ring of Honor and CMLL has never been stronger! ROH fans recently saw CMLL legends Ultimo Guerrero and El Terrible compete at Best in the World while fans in the UK will see Guerrero, Rey Bucanero, Mistico, and Titan compete on the War of the Worlds UK Tour!

It is with great excitement that ROH and CMLL announce that FLIP GORDON will compete in CMLL for the first time on September 16th at the CMLL 84th Anniversary show! Gordon will also compete in several other events in the following weeks.

Flip Gordon has quickly made a name for himself in Ring of Honor, picking up victories on Future of Honor in six man tag team action with Coast 2 Coast while challenging himself against some of ROH’s best in singles action like Frankie Kazarian, Jonathan Gresham and Punishment Martinez. In Arena Mexico, at the 84th Anniversary Show, the active member of the US Army National Guard will be on CMLL's biggest stage.

The annual CMLL Anniversary Show takes place in Arena Mexico and is the promotion's largest event of the year. 2017 marks the 84th consecutive event, which makes it the longest-running professional wrestling event in history.

This year's event takes place on September 16th and Gordon will also compete in several other CMLL events in the days after the Anniversary Show.
