Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn removed from WWE European tour

Though details are sparse at this point, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been removed from WWE's European tour.

Our Dave Meltzer reports that Owens and Zayn aren't at SmackDown's house show in Leeds, England today and won't be appearing on the rest of the tour. Both were on television last night, where they interrupted Shane McMahon and The New Day in SmackDown's opening segment and traded words with them in a promo.

Kofi Kingston then defeated Zayn in a match, with it later being announced that Owens & Zayn would be teaming against The New Day on next week's episode in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Without Roman Reigns, WWE has been shorthanded on this month's tour. Triple H filled in for Reigns at Raw's first five stops, Kurt Angle teamed with Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose yesterday, and New Day were moved to the Raw side for their remaining dates after this week's TV. How the SmackDown house shows will be affected by Owens and Zayn's absence remains to be seen.

SmackDown's final show before flying home from Europe will be in Florence, Italy on Sunday.

An update from PWInsider:

By Mike Johnson on 2017-11-08 18:18:00

As PWInsider.com broke this afternoon, WWE sent Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were sent home from the Smackdown side of the WWE European tour.

Multiple sources have told PWInsider.com that the pair were sent home not for one reason but for several things that came up over the course of the tour.

There was an issue on last night's TV taping where the duo allegedly "did what they wanted" during the close of the segment with New Day, as opposed to being physically run off by the team. We are also told there was a situation where Owens was allegedly complaining loudly on a tour bus after the taping, which one person decreed was "the last straw following a long few days of touring." Another person who was on the bus cited that Owens was "just venting" and that it wasn't a major issue, but that the situation at TV may have exacerbated the situation, forcing WWE's hand.

The pair returned to the United States today.

WWE has not responded for a request for comment on the situation.

Ok lol.

So they left the ring instead of getting outfought?

That's what Dave is saying.
UPDATE: Dave Meltzer notes that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were sent home as a disciplinary measure after their post-match angle with The New Day didn't go as planned on SmackDown last night. They were supposed to stay in the ring to be beaten up by New Day following Zayn's loss but left the ring early.

So basically they tried to make the show better getting some heat because the writers are too dumb to do it right. Obviously they shouldn't have disobeyed the bookers, but it does show just how dumb these bookers are.

Yeah, they stepped out of the idea of "The new day going over so hard on everybody all of a sudden" lol.
