Two wrestlers have had their release requests granted by WWE.

WWE.com issued a statement today confirming that Luke Harper (real name Jonathan Huber) and Sin Cara (Jorge Arias) are no longer with the company: "WWE has come to terms on the releases of Jonathan Huber (Luke Harper) and Sin Cara. WWE wishes them all the best in their future endeavors."

Sin Cara also posted a tweet announcing that he's been granted his release: "As of today I have been granted my release from WWE. Thank you WWE Universe it has been an amazing adventure."

Harper went public with his release request on April 16 of this year, while Sin Cara publicly announced his request on November 11.

November 11 was also the date that Sin Cara's last televised match in WWE aired. He lost to Drew McIntyre on Raw after the episode was taped in Manchester, England.

Harper returned to WWE television in September and was involved in a program with Erick Rowan against Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan. He was announced as a member of the SmackDown roster following October's WWE Draft, but he didn't appear on the show after that.

Harper's last televised match for the company was the battle royal on the Crown Jewel pre-show on October 31.

Harper applied to trademark his former indie name "Brodie Lee" last month.
