Update --

WWE has now officially announced Andrade's suspension: "WWE has suspended Andrade (Manuel Oropeza) for 30 days effective immediately for a first violation of the company's talent wellness policy."

United States Champion Andrade has been suspended for 30 days for his first violation of WWE's wellness policy.

The news was first reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet on Monday night and has been confirmed by our Dave Meltzer.

Pro Wrestling Sheet wrote that sources tell them Andrade was informed of the suspension on Monday morning. On Raw, there was an injury angle where Andrade was written out to cover for his suspension.

After retaining his United States title against Humberto Carrillo at the Royal Rumble, Andrade defended his title against Carrillo again on Raw. The match ended in a disqualification when Zelina Vega broke up a pin after Carrillo hit a moonsault off the top rope. Carrillo then attacked Andrade and laid him out with a hammerlock DDT on the exposed floor.

WWE announced on December 10 that Robert Roode and Primo Colon had both been suspended for 30 days for their first violations of the wellness policy. Those were the first violations announced since 2016.
