Drew Gulak appears to be back in WWE following the expiration of his contract earlier this month.

Fightful Select reported this evening that Gulak will be working a battle royal that is scheduled to take place on this week’s SmackDown. Fightful said it wasn’t confirmed if Gulak had re-signed with WWE or not. However, PWInsider has reported that is the case.

Gulak’s bio on WWE.com, which was moved to the alumni page, has since been moved back to SmackDown.

It was confirmed on May 16 that Gulak was no longer under WWE contract as the two sides had come to an impasse during renegotiations. Although WWE never confirmed the release, Gulak’s profile was moved to the alumni section of the WWE website.

Gulak last appeared on WWE television back on May 15, when he lost to Daniel Bryan in the opening round of the Intercontinental title tournament. Gulak and Bryan had been teaming with one another prior to Gulak's contract expiring.

According to Dave Meltzer from the post-Raw edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Matt Riddle is likely heading to SmackDown following his impending call-up which could be as early as this week.

Meltzer said Riddle was "performing" Monday at the Performance Center which he surmised could be for this Friday's show or next week. WWE was originally scheduled to tape two editions of Raw Monday and two editions of SmackDown Tuesday, so it's unclear what Riddle was doing yesterday.

Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez were curious why Riddle wouldn't be tabbed for Raw as Paul Heyman is a big fan of his. Meltzer thought it might be something to do with Brock Lesnar as the two got into a backstage argument at this year's WWE Royal Rumble.

It's expected that Riddle will feud with Baron Corbin on SmackDown since Corbin eliminated him at the Rumble in his first WWE main roster appearance.

Riddle will face Timothy Thatcher in a "cage fight" with Kurt Angle as special guest referee on this Wednesday's NXT.

He will. Corbin MUST BE THE NEXT GREATEST HEEL OF THE MODERN ERA NO MATTER WHAT, and he's OBVIOUSLY already the best one and most over so why not?

Corbin eliminated him from the SS match, it's a natural feud now
