According to reports, the annual WWE Draft is being planned for October as the company has waffled on picking a date for several months.

Fightful first reported Saturday that WWE originally wanted to hold the Draft in August, moved it to September, then October, back to September and then October again.

On Sunday's Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said it was down to two dates in October, down from five discussed dates. He did say it could be moved back to September.

The concept was first brought to the then-WWF in 2002 and, with the exception of 2003, remained through 2011 with the goal of sending different wrestlers to the Raw and SmackDown brands before the brand split was ended. It was revived in 2016 when the split was brought back and renamed the Superstar Shake-Up from 2017 through 2019, done as a behind the scenes movement of talent.

The classic draft style was brought back last October when the new TV deal with Fox officially started, complete with pro sports style draft rooms for both brands.
