It appears that next year's WWE Labor Day weekend pay-per-view will be taking place in the United Kingdom.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE is planning to hold next September's Labor Day weekend PPV in the UK. Meltzer added that the plan isn't definite, but WWE has been talking to Principality Stadium in Cardiff and Wembley Stadium in London to run the show in one of those buildings.

While announcing the company's 2022 PPV schedule yesterday, WWE revealed that there would be an event taking place on either Saturday, September 3 or Sunday, September 4 at a to be determined location. AEW All Out is also traditionally held during Labor Day weekend.

“The September show, they’re going to go Labor Day weekend, which is the same weekend as AEW does All Out. And it will not go head-to-head most likely, almost for sure -- I would say for sure because of the time zone difference," Meltzer said

“The plan is to run it -- I mean this is not a definite -- but I know that they were talking to [Principality] Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, and Wembley in London to run in one of those two buildings."

Fightful first reported yesterday that the Labor Day weekend PPV was tentatively slated for the UK.

TalkSport had reported last month that WWE was working on bringing SummerSlam to the UK in 2022, which would have marked the 30th anniversary of SummerSlam 1992 taking place in the country. But SummerSlam will instead be held at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, on Saturday, July 30. TalkSport's report did note that it was possible WWE would be bringing a stadium show to the UK that wasn't SummerSlam.

WWE's announced PPV schedule for 2022 is listed below:

Saturday, January 1: Day 1 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia
Saturday, January 29: Royal Rumble at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri
Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3: WrestleMania 38 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas
Sunday, May 8: Pay-per-view at Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island
Sunday, June 5: Pay-per-view at Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois
Saturday, July 2: Money in the Bank at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada
Saturday, July 30: SummerSlam at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee
Saturday, September 3 or Sunday, September 4: Pay-per-view at TBD location
Saturday, November 26: Survivor Series at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts

In February and October, there will be PPVs in Saudi Arabia that have yet to be announced. There are no PPVs scheduled for March, August, or December.
