YouTube and celebrity boxing superstar Logan Paul is officially under contract with WWE.

Paul announced the news on Twitter and Instagram today, writing that he "Just signed with the @WWE." Paul posted pictures of himself at WWE headquarters with Stephanie McMahon and Paul "Triple H" Levesque.

Ariel Helwani reports that Paul's contract is a "multi-year deal to compete at multiple events per year." It includes Paul appearing at an undisclosed number of WWE pay-per-views across 2022 and 2023.

Paul made his in-ring debut at WrestleMania 38 this April, teaming with The Miz to defeat Rey & Dominik Mysterio. Paul also played a role in the previous year's WrestleMania, taking a stunner from Kevin Owens.

The Miz turned against Paul after their match against The Mysterios at WrestleMania 38. In today's announcement, Paul threatened that he's coming for The Miz, seemingly setting up a match between the two for SummerSlam.

Paul had teased over the weekend that he was training for his in-ring return. On Raw this Monday, Miz claimed that he and Paul were going to reunite their tag team at SummerSlam. Miz alleged that he smoothed things over with Paul after WrestleMania, saying that him attacking Paul was just a teaching lesson.

Miz is set to appear on the "Today" show on NBC this Friday.

SummerSlam is taking place at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, July 30.

Paul said before his in-ring debut that -- if everything went well and it worked out with his schedule -- he could see himself having a future in WWE past WrestleMania 38.

WHY?!
There is no way this person brings in enough paying customers to justify this expense (especially now that they're not even selling their own Network).

I disagree. Excellent PR move.
Like it or not, he is now their most famous employee. He is famous, literally for the sake of being famous. He could potentially bring with him millions of younger fans who like the Paul brothers, his drawing power in the mainstream at this time is bigger than any wrestler they could currently sign.

He has a natural aptitude for wrestling as he’s already shown, he took it seriously, he didn’t play kick anyones legs or do any outlaw mud show bullshit to discredit wrestling when he took part in that match.

He could potentially turn out to be the best business WWE has done in a while in terms of getting newer eyes on the product. .
Have A Nice Day!

You might well be right. I don't know much about the guy. I'm just skeptical of anyone's ability to bring people with them to a product those people probably already know exists but have had no previous interest in. If his fanbase skews young, though, then it might well be possible.

His fan base are the YouTube 10-18 year olds, who all want to get famous for filming themselves playing games, the perfect demographic for WWE.

I’m not saying it doesn’t come without risk, of course, it may not pay off at all. But with all the negative PR around WWE right now, this is perfect to switch their narrative.

But he is so naturally unlikeable to adults, and cocky and arrogant (hence teaming him with Miz at Mania)… that actually, WWE will now have no real use for someone like MJF…

Good point about the PR, too.

I mean...he's already better than The Miz either way.
When they come, they'll come at what you love.
