Hangman Page was injured during his challenge of AEW World Champion Jon Moxley on Tuesday's edition of Dynamite and had to be stretchered to the back afterward.

With roughly ten minutes to go of TV time, Moxley hit Page with a lariat clothesline that turned Page inside out. After he hit the mat face first, the referee went to check on Page and immediately signaled for AEW doctor Michael Sampson to enter the ring. The match was stopped and awarded to Moxley.

The cameras focused tightly on Moxley and the announce crew as they scrambled to figure out what to do as the fans went quiet. A stretcher was brought out and the bottom rope was loosened in order to take Page to get medical attention. None of this was shown on camera.

PWInsider reported that they were told Page was taken to a local hospital for an examination after being checked out by on-site medical personnel.

Shown on commentary, Taz was visibly shaken due to his own history of being injured in the ring while Tony Schiavone was stoic and also visibly upset with what was happening in front of them.

Excalibur eventually ran down the cards again for Friday's Rampage and Wednesday's Dynamite before they threw it down to Moxley who cut a promo wishing Page the best of luck and hoping he recovers fully in order to perform in the ring and to hold his child again.

Moxley said since they had some time left, he wanted MJF to come out. MJF's music hit and he emerged with a referee and teased cashing in his Casino ladder match chip for a title shot. He then left the ring and told Moxley he wanted him at 100% and made the challenge for Full Gear, tying back to a promo segment he did with William Regal earlier in the show with the language he used in doing so.

As of this writing, neither AEW or Tony Khan have tweeted any updates as related to the injury. Several wrestlers, including WWE's Big E, tweeted support for Page.

Update:

This story was updated at 5 PM Eastern.

Hangman Page said he is "doing alright and feeling good" following a concussion he suffered at the end of his Tuesday Dynamite match with AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.

After our Dave Meltzer tweeted an update earlier in the day that Page was "feeling alright," the former champion took to Twitter Wednesday to give his own update, even joking about having unfinished business:

In the match's closing moments, Page took a flip bump off a Moxley lariat and landed on his face. As Page laid motionless, referee Paul Turner checked on him and immediately called for AEW medical personnel to enter the ring, calling the match for Moxley by stoppage.

AEW went to close shots of Moxley and the commentary team as they had to cover for several minutes so Page could be checked on and eventually stretchered out. After running down the cards for Rampage and the next Dynamite, they eventually went back to the ring for a Moxley promo where he wished Page the best and subsequent show-closing angle with MJF.

Two hours later, AEW released a statement saying Page suffered a concussion and that while he was discharged, he will remain the company's concussion protocol.
