Most people know that the fan reaction while people were lining up to get into the show on June 8, 1990 (as a culmination of momentum and rising merch sales, etc.) convinced Giant Baba to change the result of the now-legendary Misawa vs. Jumbo Tsuruta match to give Misawa the big win. But did you know that Tsuruta really didn't want to put Misawa over, to the point where he actually tried to negotiate with Baba, asking (via runner with a note) if they could do a DQ or a double-count-out instead?

Baba's response (also via runner with note) was simply "no."
