STARDOM Cinderella Tournament 2022, Day 2
April 10, 2022
EDION Arena Osaka #2, Osaka, Japan

Queen's Quest (Lady C, Saya Kamitani & Utami Hayashishita) vs. Donna del Mondo (Maika, Mai Sakurai & Natsupoi) - 7/10
Fun match, they put some focus on Kamitani versus Maika heading to the title match. Also a fun pair up with Poi and Hayashishita, and some Sakurai and C stuff as expected. At the end, C and Maika went up against each other and had some good stuff before Maika won with a Michinoku Driver II.

Oedo Tai (Ruaka & Saki Kashima) vs. God's Eye (Ami Sourei & MIRAI) - 6/10
Well wrestled match and all, but I thought it was really long, which is not a bad thing, Ruaka, Sourei, and MIRAI should get all the experience they can. Match was mostly about having showing off GE's power and size against someone big like Ruaka, and someone smaller like Kashima, who ended up taking the loss after a series of lariats by MIRAI.

STARS (Koguma, Mayu Iwatani, Momo Kohgo & Saya Iida) vs. Cosmic Angels (Mina Shirakawa, Tam Nakano, Unagi Sayaka & Waka Tsukiyama) - 7/10
Another fun match. Match started with Kohgo isolated from her corner, which led to a Iida hot tag and a pair up with Shirakawa. Things came back to Kohgo and Tsukiyama and into Iwatani vs Tsukiyama until the former got the pin with a superkick and a frog splash. Even being the one that got the win, Iwatani wasn't much in the match, as Koguma and Nakano.

Lot of the matches thus far have been about giving the younger talent some work.

Cinderella Tournament 2022 Second Round Match
Hazuki vs. AZM - 6.5/10
Match was good, but I got the impression that they'll be building to a High Speed match down the line. They did a couple of high speed spots here and there, but then the match slowed down a lot, they did a lot of teases on the apron, and at the end, Hazuki won with a Hazukistral.

Hazuki awaits the winner of Syuri vs Himeka.

Cinderella Tournament 2022 Second Round Match
Syuri vs. Himeka - 7/10
This is actually the first ever singles match between the two. They had a good short match-up of power vs technique, with Syuri going for submimssions, but Himeka breaking them and then slamming or clobbering Syuri down. Eventually, Syuri locked in the Nagata Lock, transitioned to a double Scissored armbar, but before Himeka could tap, the time ran out.

With this double elimination, Hazuki goes all the way to the quarter finals and awaits the winner between Giulia, Koguma, Iida, and Sakurai.

Post-match - Since they went to a time limit draw and they're both out of the tournament, Himeka proposed they go at it again with the Red title on the line. Syuri accepted.

Goddesses Of Stardom Championship Match
Black Desire (Momo Watanabe & Starlight Kid) (c) vs. Donna del Mondo (Giulia & Thekla) - 8/10
Really chaotic match, but in a good way. There was a lot of brawling early in, both in and outside the ring, and of course you had Oedo Tai and DDM out there trying to get involved. Once the match made it back to the ring, things were under control and we had a really good pair up with SLK and Giulia, and later on Thekla versus Momo, who won with a Peach Sunrise.

Post-match - DDM and Oedo Tai brawled until the latter controlled the ring. BD cut their winner's promo hoping for stronger challengers, so Hazuki and Koguma came out and demanded their rematch. May 5th at Fukuoka show.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
Good short little show. The show was a lesser show, it didn't have commentary, but it still had some tournament matches to watch. I'd say it's more of a completionist show.
