THE HUNT vs. & TYSON T-BONE & SAXON HUXLEY- 3/10
They had a short match. The Hunt won, then got beaten up by Mark Coffey and Wolfgang of Gallus.

Ilja vs. Conners has been announced for next week.

KAY LEE RAY vs. KASEY OWENS- 2/10
There were loud “ICW!” chants, which explains why Nigel went out of his way to point out that Kay Lee Ray was the current ICW Women’s Champion on what was almost certainly post-produced commentary. This was another match that was basically a squash.

IMPERIUM VIDEO PACKAGE- passable
This didn’t really tell us anything new about them, but at least it was short and built up next week’s six-man tag.

RADZIE INTERVIEWS JINNY (& JAZZY GABERT)- good
Jazzy is Jinny’s hired muscle, who Jinny hired because she knew that if she didn’t have Jazzy on her side, she would eventually have to fight her. She says that Jazzy will crush all who stand in her way.

GRIZZLED YOUNG VETERANS PROMO- a very good heel promo complaining about having to defend their titles at the Download Music Festival, a venue which they find abhorrent, and subtly threaten Johnny Saint to treat them with more respect or else.

FATAL FOUR-WAY #1 CONTENDERSHIP MATCH: Jordan Devlin vs. Dave Mastiff vs. Travis Banks vs. Joe Coffey- 7.5/10
An exciting four-way, but one that feels a little disappointing, given all of the build it got. Everyone got time to shine, but Banks got the win, seemingly killing Devlin with that Kiwi Crusher on the finish. They have some good babyface framing lined up for his title shot (he came close to winning the #1 contendership tournament last year, and then had to miss the first NXT UK TakeOver due to injury, and how he’s finally getting a title shot), but I don’t see Banks as anything other than a sacrifice to build up WALTER’s title reign before some of the bigger babyfaces step in and get their shots.

A decent episode of NXT UK. It was a one-match show where the one match didn’t deliver to a huge level, but some of the promos helped buoy the show up a bit.
