NOAM DAR vs. ASHTON SMITH- 4/10

RADZIE INTERVIEWS NOAM DAR- Dar cut a good braggadocios promo telling us all that his big, fat NXT UK contract guarantees him a spot on the TakeOver: Cardiff card.

TYLER BATE PROMO- good
He vows to win the title from WALTER and become the first-ever two-time WWE UK Champion.

TAG TITLE SEGMENT- fine
GYZ come out and Zack Gibson cuts a promo. He is interrupted by Gallus, who want a tag title shot. Gallus think they deserve a tag title shot at TakeOver: Cardiff. “Flash” Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews show up and say that they want a title shot because it’s their home city. The heels rightfully point out that these doofuses haven’t done jack sh*t to earn a title shot. The idea of a #1 contendership match is floated.

VIDEO PACKAGE PUTTING OVER THE IMPORTANCE OF TAKEOVER- fine
The important take-away here was Travis Banks’ comment that he was so disappointed about having to miss TakeOver: Blackpool. This led to him talking to Johnny Saint off-screen, who told him he had to earn it, but also that Dar was lying about being guaranteed a spot. Banks vowed to work harder than Dar to earn a shot.

RADZIE INTERVIEWS MARK ANDREWS & “FLASH” MORGAN WEBSTER- They, too, realize that they haven’t done anything to earn a title shot, but Johnny Saint has told them that he’ll give them a few weeks to do so.

JAZZY GABERT & JINNY vs. XIA BROOKSIDE & PIPER NIVEN- 4.5/10
Rhea Ripley came out and brawled away with Piper Niven while the referee was distracted. Xia fought valiantly on her own, but was defeated.

EARLIER TODAY, KASSIUS OHNO INTERRUPTS AN INTERVIEW WITH ILJA DRAGUNOV- good
Ohno’s “why is it so dark in here?” and then turning on the lights to f*ck up the mood lighting before apologizing to the cameraman was fantastic. Ohno got scared off by Ilja’s crazy face. As a result of this, these two have been booked against each other in next week’s main event. Also signed for next week’s show is “Flash” Morgan Webster vs. Mark Coffey.

JOE COFFEY vs. DAVE MASTIFF- 7/10
A good brawl with some great storytelling, but a disappointing double count-out finish. Cue pull-apart, so I assume we’re getting a gimmick match from these two at TakeOver.

A decent episode of NXT UK.
