TRENT SEVEN vs. KONA REEVES- 4/10
Reeves cut a fine heel promo on his way to the ring. He referred to NXT UK as “NXT’s ugly little crooked-toothed sister.” The match was short but good.

RADZIE INTERVIEWS ILJA DRAGUNOV- good
Ilja tells us that Alexander Wolfe was actually his good but slightly abusive trainer and he resents Wolfe trying to control Ilja again so Ilja decided to stand with Gallus against Wolfe to assert his independence.

A-KID vs. JACK STARZ- 3/10
Nigel pushed the idea that Tyler Bate has taken A-Kid on as a protégé. The match was good for what it was. Starz was allowed to get some holds in, but that only really happened so that they could show us A-Kid’s ability to get out them.

RADZIE INTERVIEWS JINNY- great
She buries a bunch of babyfaces and challenges Piper Niven to a match while also talking herself up as “championship material.”

GRIZZLED YOUNG VETERANS PROMO- good
Gibson made some damn good points about their worthiness for a tag title shot and about those who ruined their most recent number contendership match (Gallus and Imperium) suffering no punishment for their actions. They want a title shot at TakeOver: Blackpool 2020.

JORDAN DEVLIN VIDEO- excellent!
He mispronounced “compilation” as “compliation.” This compilation was of NXT UK’s greatest moments… but of course everything was a clip of him. He cut a promo on A-Kid (once again mentioning the connection between A-Kid and Tyler Bate) and challenged A-Kid to a match next week.

RIDGE HOLLAND vs. OLIVER CARTER- no rating, GREAT semi-squash
Carter got to do a spot or two, but it became clear that the purpose of this match was to show us how impressive Holland was, and it worked. That dude is big and strong. Ashton Smith came out to check on Carter after the match.

SHORT PROMOS FROM TRAVIS BANKS, EL LIGERO, & JOSEPH CONNERS ABOUT CONNERS INTERFERING IN LAST WEEK’S MATCH AND ATTACKING PEOPLE- fine

ASHTON SMITH & OLIVER CARTER WALKING BACKSTAGE- fine
Smith told Carter to keep his hopes up and that he would break out soon enough. Noam Dar came by and was a dick, so Smith challenged him to a match next week.

Piper Niven vs. Jinny has been made official for next week.

ILJA DRAGUNOV vs. ALEXNADER WOLFE- 8/10
This was intense, as you’d expect, and a great brawl. Wolfe won after capitalizing on Imperium causing a distraction. The heels attacked Ilja after the match but Gallus made the save, culminating in Joe Coffey giving WALTER a German suplex.


This was a great episode of NXT UK. We got some good little movement segments for most of the show, then an awesome main event leading into a push for what will clearly be our main event in Blackpool… which I will now note is the place that Coffey failed to win the NXT UK Title from Pete Dunne one year previous.
