BRM Reviews the 2/7/2020 205 Live (utter sh*t saved by an AWESOME main event)

ARIYA DAIVARI & BRIAN KENDRICK vs. DANNY BURCH & ONEY LORCAN- 5.75/10
They had a solid seven-minute tag team match with Burch as the babyface in peril. He managed to make the hot tag and Lorcan ran wild. Daivari tried to use a chair but Lorcan hit him with a dropkick. Lorcan then picked the chair up and hit Daivari with it as revenge for trying to Pillmanizer Burch last week, so the heels win by DQ. If they had ended it there, it would have been fine, but instead we got the…

POST-MATCH SEGMENT- TERRIBLE!
Lorcan, trying to sell the idea that he was in a crazed and violent state, began shaking in the hokiest possible manner while holding the chair. He went to smash Daivari with the chair a second time but Burch ripped it out of his hands and threw it away. OOOH! Maybe they’re going to do a thing where Burch thinks that Lorcan is going to far in trying to get revenge and it eventually leads to the team breaking up!
NOPE! This was all a moronic swerve so that Burch could shove Lorcan and give the Dudleys-style “ONEY!” “WHAT?!” “GET THE TABLES!”
Lorcan already has a weapon in his hand, and it’s the exact same type of weapon that the heels tried to use to injure Burch… but Burch, for reasons that are completely inexplicable, feels extremely strongly that they should use this other weapon to hurt Daivari. You want to use a table so G-d damn much? Here’s an idea: LET LORCAN HIT DAIVARI WITH THE CHAIR WHILE YOU GO GET THE TABLE, THEN PUT DAIVARI THROUGH THE TABLE AFTER HITTING HIM WITH THE CHAIR! It’s not like there is some sort of rule that says that you can only hurt someone after a match with one type of weapon!
And, to cap it all off, while the idiot babyfaces were busy getting and setting up a table, Kendrick saved his partner, so our heroes didn’t even get to put Daivari through the table in the end.

THE SINGH BROTHERS vs. TWO JOBBERS- DUD!
This was a squash that went on WAY too long. Have the Singh Brothers done ANYTHING useful since this stupid gimmick change?

TONY NESE vs. LIO RUSH vs. JORDAN DEVLIN- 8.5/10
I went into this match absolutely certain that there was no way that the new Cruiserweight Champion was going to lose in his first match on 205 Live, but these guys put their match together so well that they had me biting on every nearfall. This was AWESOME!

Overall, this was an okay episode of 205 Live, but the reality is that it was thirty minutes of crap pulled up by an excellent main event.
