WWE HERITAGE CUP TITLE MATCH: A-Kid(c) vs. Sha Samuels- 5.75/10
The story here was that A-Kid was nursing a shoulder injury going in and tapped out in the first round to preserve the shoulder, so he had to fight from behind. They kept up with the story of the injured arm as A-Kid first tied it up and then fought for the submission victory. The pieces here were all good, but the match felt like it lacked the necessary build up of tension and intensity as it went on.

RAMPAGE BROWN VS. JOE COFFEY VIDEO PACKAGE- They had lots of footage from PROGRESS, and also had Regal, Drew, and Sheamus putting them over, rather than just NXT UK people.

WALTER VIDEO PACKAGE- good
After today, he will pass Pete Dunne as the longest-reigning NXT UK Champion. How the hell do you have a milestone like that come up on the day of your show and not have a title defense tonight to do the story of WALTER needing one more defense to pass Dunne?

BEN CARTER vs. JOSH MORRELL- 6.5/10
They had a very athletic match without going a million miles an hour.

NXT UK WOMEN’S TITLE MATCH PRESS CONFERENCE- fine
There was no big angle here, just some questions and a photo-op. I liked them having reporters also ask questions in Japanese. It made Meiko feel like a bigger star and made the title feel bigger because people have come from half way across the world to follow her quest for it.

NINA SAMUELS VS. XIA BROOKSIDE VIDEO PACKAGE- great

TYLER BATE INTERVIEW- meh
He’s getting some peace and quiet outside. His new character isn’t doing it for me so far.

ALIYAH JAMES vs. DANI LUNA- 2.5/10
A good showcase for Luna without being a squash.

JOSEPH CONNERS & JINNY PROMO- good
They don’t like Piper Niven and think Jinny will kick her ass.

NXT UK TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH VIDEO PACKAGE- meh
This was very short and not much was said or shown.

JOE COFFEY vs. RAMPAGE BROWN- 7.25/10
A great main event hoss-fight, thought it didn’t really live up to the hype they put into it in terms of match quality. It certainly lived up to the hype in terms of pure hoss-fighting.

This was a solid episode of NXT UK, moving things along nicely. It definitely suffers from both of the big matches underdelivering, but it was far from being bad by any means.
