Brian Myers vs Black Taurus (w/Decay) - 6/10
Ok match, Myers has been feuding with Decay in the last two weeks, and so this was just the second match with them, he defeated Crazzy Steve on Thursday. Story of the match was that Taurus was stronger than Myers, so Myers had to use his cheats to get the upper hand and eventually win when he poked Tauru's eye and hit the Roster Cut.

Myers has wins over both Steve and Taurus, so I would imagine a tag team match is next.

Taylor Wilde & Tenille Dashwood (with Kaleb with a K) vs Kimber Lee & Susan - 4.5/10
Not much to this match, but it was short and as a means to an end, it got the angle across that Wilde once again won because Dashwood and Kaleb cheat, while Wilde doesn't want to, and surely leads to a Wilde vs Dashwood match as part of Wilde's path Purrazzo. Finish saw Wilde get a roll up on Susan after Kaleb kicked her behind Wilde's sight.

Sami Callihan Promo - Sami Callihan cut a promo about going through the roster if necessary, all to win the championship.

Impact Tag Team Championships #1 Contendership Match
Ace Austin & Madman Fulton vs XXXL (Acey Romero & Larry D) vs TJP & Petey Williams vs Rohit Raju & Mahabali Shera - 7.5/10
For a match with 8 men, and 4 tag teams, this was incredibly organized and paced. This 4 corner survival style with only two legal men inside the ring, and instead of doing a thousand tags between everyone, they actually broke the match down into three matches. TJP/Williams vs Raju/Shera, then TJP/Williams vs Ace/Fulton, and the final minutes where things got chaotic, and when I say that this was a match between two teams, I mean it, it was the heel team cutting off either TJP or Petey and the whole heat segment was in that one corner with no one else coming in other than the working teams. It was just incredibly organized.

Last couple of minutes, the match picked up a lot, with every team stealing tags on each other and attempting to end the match, but there were just too many people involved for a clear pin. Finish finally came when Fulton took out both Romero and D, ending with an assisted plancha for Austin to pin D for the win.

It will be Ace Austin and Madman Fulton vs FinJuice on Thursday's Impact, but potentially build to Against All Odds too.

Fire 'n Flava Interview - Gia Miller interviewed Hogan and Steelz about their match. They said they’re regaining the titles tonight. Great stuff from both.

W. Morrissey vs Willie Mack - 6.5/10
This went way longer than I expected, but it was good. I came in expecting either a crazy hoss fight, or a squash match, and well, it was somewhere in the middle. They gave Mack A LOT of fight, even having the upper hand at certain points, but the whole match still felt like a dominant win for Morrissey, especially with the nature of the finish, which was Morrissey taking out Mack with a big boot to the back of Mack in an execution style way, Mack was already done for.

Post-match - Morrissey kept attacking Mack, but as he was about to use a chair, Rich Swann made his return since Rebellion for the save. He and Mack cleared the ring before the big staredown between Morrissey and Swann. I'm kinda smelling Swann vs Morrissey at Against Al Odds, but I wonder if a certain Morrissey tag partner could be coming in to pair up against Swann/Mack.

Impact Knockouts Tag Team Championship Match
Fire ‘n Flava (Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz) vs Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering (C) - 7/10
I really liked this, it was definitely better than the Rebellion match, with only a couple of more minutes than at Rebellion. The story here was that Hogan and Steelz have been messing around with Grace’s confidence, making her believe that she is the weak link of the team and that it was all Ellering, who won the titles at Rebellion, and so the whole match was built around the opposite way, to make it seem like it was Grace that would be the stronger one, with Ellering being the babyface in peril, and Grace being the hot tag and the one that seemed set to get the pin at the end, until Steelz and Hogan proved that they were right, they had Grace's number all along and Steelz by herself took down Grace and won with a Frog Splash.

Fire ‘n Flava are 2-time champions, and it'll be interesting to see what direction Grace takes at this point, does she turn heel against Ellering?, or does she stay babyface but breaks away from Ellering? She recently resigned with Impact, so we know this isn't Impact writing her off.

Swinger's Palace Skit - Meh. We got a Swinger’s Palace skit with XXXL wanting to get a bet in for the main event and it went nowhere.

X Division Championship Match
Josh Alexander (C) vs El Phantasmo - 8.5/10
Easily the match of the night. This was fantastically paced. The story of the match was that Alexander was a better wrestler, he had the upper hand when it came power and technique, but as it has been rumored, ELP’s boot is allegedly loaded, and surprisingly, while nothing was working against Alexander, it was the stomps and kicks that were hurting Alexander way more than they should, and thus it led to ELP dismantle Alexander’s limbs slowly.

Alexander would still deliver some desperation attacks here and there, because even with injured limbs, Alexander was still a better and stronger wrestler, he just happens to be across the ring from a troll level wrestler that is really hard to anticipate and counter.

Last couple of minutes saw Alexander start to chase the ankle lock, while ELP started going for the superkick over and over, but he just couldn’t make contact. At the end, Alexander went for divine intervention, but ELP countered. Alexander locked in the ankle lock, powerbomb into the knee, and after a couple of stomps, submitted ELP! Awesome match.

I totally expected ELP to win the championship, but it’s great to see that Impact is putting their coins in Alexander’s basket.

FinJuice & Eddie Edwards Interview - Gia Miller interviewed FinJuice and Edwards. Robinson said that there wouldn't be any interference because everyone would be in there in the ring. Finlay hyped the match, saying this is a combination of some of the greatest active wrestlers today.

Impact Knockouts Championship Match
Deonna Purrazzo (C) (w/ Kimber Lee & Susan) vs Havok - 6.5/10
Havok is Purrazzo’s first actual powerhouse challenger since winning the championship, and so the story of the match was that of the technical wrestler trying to work herself around to bring down Havok to her knees and target one of her limbs, the left arm as usual, setting it up for the Fujiwara armbar.

Havok had some hope spots using her power advantage, but Purrazzo just brought her down and submitted her with the Fujiwara armbar, and while I do realize that Purrazzo may not be able to physically lock in the Venus de Milo on Havok, nor hit Cosa Nostra, it is great to see her win with her 3rd from the top signature move.

Eddie Edwards & FinJuice (Juice Robinson & David Finlay) vs Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) - 8/10
You can't watch this match and not realize that Impact is either setting up Edwards vs Omega, former IWGP vs former GHC, at either Slammiversary, or as the final match when Impact regains the championship. Like the 4-way tag match, this really made it clear to separate FinJuice vs Good Brothers and Edwards vs Omega, with the occasional mix of the two feuds.

As for the overall match, we saw Juice be the babyface in peril, Eddie the hot tag, with both teams trading control a couple of times. It wasn't until the second Eddie vs Omega run that Omega finally woke up and started spamming V-Triggers and Snap Dragons. Finish saw FinJuice stop a magic killer. Finlay hit the stunner on Anderson, pulp friction by Robinson, and the Boston knee party by Edwards for the pin. Great stuff.

Impact World Championship #1 Contendership Match
Moose vs Trey Miguel vs Chris Bey vs Matt Cardona vs Chris Sabin vs Sami Callihan - 7.5/10

This was good, but felt kinda short for the amount of people. This could had been an elimination match and it would had been great, but it would had required for the winner to pin everyone, and given that Moose is not likely to win the title at Against All Odds of all places, it would had been quite detrimental to pin everyone here. So it's a compromise that some guys didn't make a lot of noise, but at least they were not pinned by someone on his way to probably losing too.

The match was mostly spots all over the place with two or three guys taking turns to work the ring while the rest worked the floor. Callihan at one point started using a chair because Impact also doesn't do DQs on multi-man matches, but I did appreciate that the No DQ rule ended up working against Callihan when the Good Brothers ran down, pulled out Callihan, and took him out, so serves him right.

Finish saw Sabin got a great near fall after hitting cradle shock, but was stopped by Moose, who delivered a trifecta of Lights Out spears for the win. Overall a good match with the exception of Callihan using chairs and low blows.

It will be Kenny Omega vs Moose, who told the camera and Omega that he is coming to get back what is theirs. Impact could pull the trigger on a babyface Moose right now and it would be huge, if and only IF, Moose were to be the one to take Omega's title, but it's just too soon for that.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
Not a crazy amazing show, but it was really really productive with good to great wrestling bell to bell. This show was used to build up a bunch of contenders for Against All Odds, the next pay-per-view, which will likely set up a lot of feuds for Slammiversary. While they've worked on the seeds for months now, Impact pretty much established Edwards, Callihan, and Moose as challengers for Kenny Omega for the next couple of months, all incredibly strong challengers.

Josh Alexander vs ELP is a match you definitely need to go out of your way to watch.
