THE FASHION POLICE vs. 3.0- squash

CATHY KELLEY INTERVIEWS JORDAN MYLES AS HE ARRIVES AT THE ARENA- good
Myles admits to being nervous. Keith Lee, who he showed up with, told him that he had no reason to be nervous because he’s clearly good enough to have earned this opportunity even though he’s only been here a few weeks. Maybe I’ve just seen too much wrestling in my life, but it seemed to me like Lee was insulted that Cathy didn’t even acknowledge his presence and is jealous that Myles got the opportunity to compete in the Breakout Tournament when Lee had not been afforded any such opportunity.

ION SHIRAI JUMPS CANDICE LERAE IN THE PAKRING LOT- She eventually gets pulled off, but not before hitting Candice several times with a Kendo stick.

CAMERON GRIMES PROMO- GREAT!
He’s very unhappy that he didn’t win the Breakout Tournament. They are establishing frantic mantras as kind of Grimes’ thing.

KONA REEVES vs. THE VELVETEEN DREAM- 3/10
Reeves got some offense in and talked a lot of trash. TVD won when Reeves was an idiot and distracted himself by yelling at a referee who had caught him cheating, allowing TVD to hit him with two superkicks and a Dream Valley Driver for the pin.

POST-MATCH SEGMENT- good
Roderick Strong appeared on the HunterTron cutting a promo telling TVD that he had told him to do something to get his attention… and now Roddy has. Specifically, he has set TVD’s couch on fire. This segment completely worked.

RHEA RIPLEY VIDEO PACKAGE- good
Also, we’re getting Ripley vs. Baszler non-title next week!

TAYNARA CONTI vs. BIANCA BELAIR- 4.5/10
Both Mauro and the ring announcer went all Vince McMahon and took Taynara’s middle name away from her, even though both her HunterTron and graphic still had it. The match was relatively short, but fun and very competitive.

WILLIAM REGAL ANNOUNCES A # 1 CONTENDERSHIP MATCH FOR NEXT WEEK- It will be Bianca vs. Io vs. Mia Yim. Also announced for next week is Johnny Gargano addressing his future.

NXT TITLE MATCH: Adam Cole(c) vs. Jordan Myles- 8/10
An awesome clean win for Cole that even in defeat establishes Myles as at the very least an upper-midcarder.


A very fun episode of NXT with an awesome main event. Hopefully next week’s Full Sail swan song is allowed to be the epic show it deserves to be.
