Re: WWE Trademarks ECW and WCW Names
Most of these aren't worth trademarking, but I understand them doing it given AEW's odd desire to piggyback off of WCW's legacy.

Re: WWE Trademarks ECW and WCW Names
if WWE owns the video of these shows, it's just smart to have the names, i don't know why they let them lapse at all.Big Red Machine wrote: ↑Dec 11th, '19, 18:39 Most of these aren't worth trademarking, but I understand them doing it given AEW's odd desire to piggyback off of WCW's legacy.

If I remember correctly, Harley Davidson owns that one.

Apparently not for fair use pertaining to wrestling. I foresee The Forgotten Sons getting their own PPV.Big Red Machine wrote: ↑Dec 12th, '19, 09:21If I remember correctly, Harley Davidson owns that one.

Wasn't Harley complaining about it the reason WCW changed the name of the PPV to Road Wild?

After the first event, WCW changed the name to Road Wild because of a potential trademark issue with the Harley-Davidson club Harley Owners Group (HOG).
I did not know this! The Mickie James renaissance is postponed until further notice. They could absolutely still rehash Greed for a Saudi show, I think the Harley Owners Group would be alright with that. They might even accept it as compensation for NXT TakeOver: Hog Wild
