On Monday's Wrestling Observer Live, Dave Meltzer reported that Charlotte Flair is having surgery, explaining the reason she was injured in storyline on Raw Monday night.

Meltzer didn't specify the reason for the surgery or what is being operated on, but said that it's not a shoulder injury. He said there is hope she will be ready for SummerSlam in August. However, that's not 100%.

WWE put out a statement overnight, saying Flair is being evaluated for a "potential collarbone fracture" following an attack at the hands of Nia Jax. The two had a brawl early in the show and afterward, Tom Phillips said Flair's arm might be injured. Later, Asuka defeated Flair to retain the Raw women's title, working over the arm repeatedly.

The 34-year-old recently lost the NXT women's title in a three-way featuring Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. She had held the belt for 63 days following her WrestleMania title win over then-champion Ripley.

I hate to say it, and unfortunate that it had to come about like this, but at least on the bright side it will force them to do something different with at least one other person...

Man, everybody shits on Charlotte, but you can't hate on that work ethic.

I think people acknowledge her work ethic. They just don't like her promos and think she's over-pushed. She's very much the new Triple H. There's a great Lance Storm comment on either his ROH shoot (taped Dec. 2005) or his RF Vol. 2 shoot (taped after the ROH one, but still in the mid-2000s) where he says(paraphrasing, but the numbers are accurate) "Hunter is a nine, but because he's married to the boss' daughter they push him like a ten, but for that same reason, people only give him the respect of a seven." No one ever doubted his work ethic. I think it's the same kind of thing with Charlotte.

Yup, she's overexposed for whatever argument people may want to defend, and that comes with a price. It's pretty much the same story of pushing Super Cena over Angle/Benoit/Jericho, or Reigns over Punk/Bryan/Cesaro. People recent company chosen nepotism pushes.

Thing is, Triple H was never a bad or incompetent worker or dangerous by any means...but he was nowhere near the most crisp, smoothest, technically flowing wrestler out there at the time. I'd actually say Charlotte is better at that aspect than him, but even he took much longer to accumulate his amount of titles than her.

Hunter was pretty darn crisp. He just didn't do things that were graceful, so you don't notice it the way you do with a Charlotte or Sami Zayn or someone else who has a picture-perfect moonsault/dive/whatever.
