HERITAGE CUP RULES MATCH: Noam Dar vs. Nathan Frazier- 6/10
Dar punched Frazier after the end of the first round because he’s a jerk.
Dar got rolled up and pinned t end the second round, so he called for Samuels to come out. Samuels immediately caused a distraction that Frazier fell for. He also distracted him at the end of the round. He’s just shouting. There comes a point when Frazier starts to look like an idiot.
Dar got a submission on his own in round four and then benefitted from interference from Samuels in round five for the finish.

PRETTY DEADLY VIDEO PACKAGE- decent

EARLIER TODAY, STUFF HAPPENED IN THE PC- good
Trent Seven was consoling Jack Starz, who is sad because Piper Niven is not there to train with him. Sam Gradwell showed up to insult Seven so Seven punched him. Their brawl was quickly broken up, and Gradwell yelled at Seven.

LEVI MUIR vs. MARK ANDREWS (w/Subculture)- 4/10
Muir once again got in more offense than I was expecting.

EARLIER TODAY, AMALE INTERRUPTS SID SCALA’S PRESS CONFERENCE TO DEMAND THAT SHE IS NAMED AS XIA’S REPLACEMENT- fine
Amale’s English is not great, so having her cut promos where she needs to show emotion in English usually doesn’t work. This was one of those times.
Sid Scala said that he would not reward her behavior by giving her what she wanted, but did tell her that she would be wrestling Xia as soon as Xia was healthy. Amale ranted in French and then stormed out.

FOOTAGE FROM AFTER LAST WEEK’S MAIN EVENT- fine

SID SCALA’S SIT-DOWN INTERVIEW WITH THE A-KID AND TYLER BATE- meh
Bate came off like kind of a tool towards the end.

#1 CONTENDERSHIP GAUNTLET MATCH: Isla Dawn vs. Emilia McKenzie vs. Dani Luna vs. Meiko Satomura vs. Jinny (w/Joseph Conners)- 6.5/10
Isla beat first McKenzie and then Luna clean before being felled by Xia Brookside’s mystery replacement: Meiko Satomura. She got to go on quite the tear against Meiko, though, to the point where her getting the win felt completely plausible. I also liked that they had Meiko beat her by roll-up.

This was one of those bad idea gauntlet matches where they beat too many people in too short a time, and it feels like it does more damage to others than the benefit it gets you by establishing a #1 contender in this way (and especially when the person who wins didn’t beat that many wrestlers). There were some good segments in here (especially Jinny vs. Satomura at the end), but as a whole, it was disappointing (especially for this big spot).
Meiko won, so she’ll take on Kay Lee Ray again. I’m not really that excited to see this match. I’d be much more excited for either KLR vs. Millie or Meiko vs. Jinny.

POST-MATCH SEGMENT- didn’t like it
KLR came out to have a face-off with Meiko. She bowed, so Meiko returned the bow… and then, in a move that everyone aside from Meiko saw coming, KLR attacked Meiko.

A meh-to-bad show from NXT UK. The worst in quite a while. Hopefully it’s just a blip and the usual greatness will return next week.
