Did You Know The Great Khali...
Did you know The Great Khali killed a man in the ring?
In July 2005, Khali (known at the time as Dalip "Giant" Singh) wrestled a young man named Brian Ong for Pacific Coast Wrestling academy during a training session. The five-foot-seven, 175-pound Ong landed wrong on a bump and landed on his head. Ong was told to take a flapjack from Singh, and performed it wrong. He was reported to be disoriented and woozy from the move, and tried it again. The second time, he landed wrong again and died.
There a whole lawsuit involved where Ong's family sued the wrestling school, and they received 1.34 million for it.

I remember hearing of this somewhere.
Reality TV is faker than "fake" wrestling!

I heard about this which is why i keep saying he's so dangerous. WWE took a HUGE risk signing him.

Yes. And it was all the other guy's fault. He didin't protect himself correctly. Khali did everything right.

I'm always happy to jump on the Khali Slate-wagon... but from all the things I've read on it, Khali wasn't to blame. (hence why it was the school sued... NOT Khali)
Re: Did You Know The Great Khali...
Still though, his size makes the mistakes whether it be his or someone elses that much more dangerous. Look how he moves in the ring, it's awkward. The only reason WWE still has him around is because he gets them numbers in India.Lynas wrote:This!Big Red Machine wrote:Yes. And it was all the other guy's fault. Big Show & Andre both have the potential to be dangerous too based on size, so get rid of them too? If Khali wasn't to blame then leave him alone... he has enough bad about him thats true to saddle him with something that isn't...

Look at Khali!! Look how he moves, its the most awkward thing i've seen in wrestling since the Katie Vick storyline.ECWFlairfan wrote:Big Show & Andre both have the potential to be dangerous too based on size, so get rid of them too? I agree... but leave him alone on things that aren't his fault or we'll lose credibility on his actual faults... know what i mean? we can't be the "boy" who cries wolf...Rabid619 wrote:Look at Khali!! Re: Did You Know The Great Khali...
What makes him dangerous in my book is how he moves about inside the ring. He's like a walking botch, its not just because of his size, thats just another factor because if he botches theres a lot more force behind it. Big Show is a big man but he doesnt look awkward like Khali does, sure he's not perfect but he doesnt have that same awkwardness to him. Khali looks as though he would trip over his own shoes. If he wasnt drawing numbers from a certain market he wouldnt be employed by WWE.

I doubt WWE would employ anyone who didn't draw numbers from a market.Rabid619 wrote: If he wasnt drawing numbers from a certain market he wouldnt be employed by WWE.
