No, no. I think it made sense.

The Miz was clearly concealing the belt from view, so as to remove any suspicion from the referee's mind. As far as the ref knows, it was a fair contest. Then suddenly the WWE Title flies out from Miz's hands. The ref didn't hand the title to The Miz, and Miz didn't leave the ring to get it himself. So the obvious conclusion is that The Miz has just laid John Cena out with the title belt.

It's the same situation as when Eddie Guerrero used to cheat to win. Eddie's lying on the mat. His opponent is standing with a chair in his hands. He must have whacked Eddie in the head.
