Post by Big Red Machine » Feb 10th, '12, 00:23

WWF King Of The Ring 2000 (6/25/2000)- Boston, MA

KING OF THE RING QUARTER-FINAL MATCH: Rikishi vs. Chris Benoit- No rating. Good segment. Sets up Rikishi as a babyface underdog for the tournament.

KING OF THE RING QUARTER-FINAL MATCH: Eddie Guerrero (w/Chyna) vs. Val Venis (w/Trish Stratus)- 5/10

KING OF THE RING QUARTER-FINAL MATCH: Crash Holly vs. Bull Buchanan- 4.25/10

KING OF THE RING QUARTER-FINAL MATCH: Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho- 6.5/10 good pre-match promos by both men.

FOUR CORNERS ELIMINATION MATCH FOR THE WWF TAG TEAM TITLES: Too Cool (Scottie 2 Hottie & Grand Master Sexay)(c) vs. Edge & Christian vs. The Hardy Boys (w/Lita) vs. Test & Albert (w/Trish Stratus)- 7.75/10. Two good stories told here, and some great action.

KING OF THE RING SEMIFINAL MATCH: Rikishi vs. Val Venis (w/Trish Stratus)- 3.75/10. pretty good aftermath, once again helping to build Rikishi as an injured underdog for his match in the finals.

KING OF THE RING SEMIFINAL MATCH: Kurt Angle vs. Crash- 3.75/10

HARDCORE EVENING GOWN MATCH FOR THE WWF HARDCORE TITLE: Pat Patterson(c) vs. Jerry Brisco- DUD! Thank G-d for Crash Holly.

HANDICAP TABLES DUMPSTER MATCH: The Dudley Boys vs D-Generation X (Road Dogg, X-Pac, & Tori)- 6.5/10 Good aftermath.

KING OF THE RING FINAL: Kurt Angle vs. Rikishi- 5.75/10. Extremely disappointing for the King Of The Ring Tournament Finals.

MCMAHON-HELSMLEY REGIME SEGMENT- okay

SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH IN WHICH THE PERSON WHO GETS THE FALL WILL BECOME THE WWF CHAMPION: Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, & Triple H(c) (w/Stephanie McMahon-Helsmley) vs. The Rock, The Undertaker, & Kane- 6.75/10. Not quite good enough to be a main event. Kane’s tweener-turn was interesting.

Overall, a pretty bad show from the WWF. Only three of the eleven matches were good, only one was main event quality, and none worth going out of your way to see.
