From the Desk of Nigel McGuinness

Post by Big Red Machine » Mar 5th, '13, 10:20

After the chaos that was unleashed upon Ring of Honor by Steve Corino & S.C.U.M at the “11th Anniversary Event” last Saturday night, ROH Match Maker Nigel McGuinness made a very firm stance the following afternoon during the ROH TV Tapings. Make sure you check out upcoming episodes to see just how ROH recovered from the onslaught and read the following statement from McGuinness himself addressing the immediate future of Ring of Honor”

SCUM fired a shot heard round the world at our 11th Anniversary and has caused more chaos than we have ever seen here in ROH. At the 11th Anniversary SCUM won the battle. But by losing the battle we will find new ways to win the war.

Steve Corino claims that they will forever go down in history for murdering this company and that honor will die. Corino says that everyone in the company has been beaten and there is nobody left to challenge Kevin Steen for the ROH World Title.

Kevin Steen has been very successful during his reign as ROH Champion but he has NOT defeated all credible challengers in ROH.

Mark & Jay Briscoe... the pioneers of honor have been in ROH since the beginning and always defended the company with blood, sweat, and tears. Neither Mark or Jay have challenged Steen for the ROH World Title.

On March 30th in Asheville, North Carolina ... Mark Briscoe will face Kevin Steen for the ROH World Title.

On April 5th at Supercard of Honor live on iPPV ...Jay Briscoe will face the ROH World Champion whether it is his brother or Kevin Steen.

In addition to those two title matches, Nigel has also confirmed that BOTH recently dethroned former TV Champion Adam Cole and “Buzzsaw” BJ Whitmer are also in line to receive future World Title Matches as well.

Dates for each championship bout will be announced later this week right here on ROHWrestling.com. Whether it be in NYC, NC, Columbus, or San Antonio, join us in the fight against S.C.U.M as we prove to them that honor still lives!

I like that they're doing this, but shouldn't the title shot a SCOH be saved for someone the fans think have a snowball's chance of winning?
