MATCH OF THE NIGHT
Couldn't have said it better. I also wasn't a fan of the finish last night, and have been skeptical of the whole angle since Punk vs Nash was booked and rebooked to Punk vs Trips in one night. They have a HUGE opportunity in CM Punk right now, I'd hate to see them blow it on crappy writing/booking.badnewzxl wrote:I wanna know what else is gonna come of this but it's already kinda rubbing me the wrong way.
I'll admit it comes across as a "we don't know where to take the angle" sort of booking. BUT You can understand EVERY interference from last night, Miz & Truth are all about conspiracy, Kevin Nash hates Punk and is pissed at his 20 year friend for "sacking" him.Bob-O wrote:Couldn't have said it better. If I was a writer now I'd be pleading for McMahon & The Board (or some actors to portray the board)to do some TV time....
Here's how I would now run the angle. I'd have Triple H kick off Raw by cutting a promo & then inviting out Punk, then Miz & Truth invade chatting conspiracy and payback, then you have Laurinitis & Nash come down, it all spirals out of control & everyone is in the ring bickering and arguing, everyone is talking over one another you can't make sense of any of it and then BAM "NO CHANCE, THAT'S WHAT YOU GOT". Out comes McMahon with the board/actors. McMahon looks on and hits a promo about how Triple H clearly hasn't got control of things, and with the board concerned about his physical interaction with the talent, they're pulling the plug on Triple H & they're bringing backMcMahon to keep order on things.
McMahon then puts Triple H, Nash & Laurinitis against Miz, Truth & Punk in a match, those who lose can get out of town and get out of his company. Over the weeks that follow you can keep Triple H around more weeks to talk to Vince and convince him to let him back onside, let him remain in the WWE Offices & turn it to aTriple H/McMahon power struggle.
Personally that's where I'd take it. but somewhere in there, I'd put Punk & Triple in the cell, no interference. Punk goes clean.
I changed it ever so slightly, the last paragraph regarding the match, it'd be a car crash and it'd make more sense if it went the way of my edit.kiel297 wrote:

Yeah; I knew Nash would get involved but why have him get involved when he did little to affect the finish? HHH had Punk beat earlier in the match. And why have Truth and Miz come out and have them not affect the finish either? In the end, it didn't matter that anybody came out bc the exact thing that was happening before the interference happend after the interference was neutralized....Bob-O wrote:Couldn't have said it better. this was my feeling, i facepalmed after Kelly kept the title, i mean, it's not even like they're cutting promos about "you can't beat" and shit. I really didn't see the point in not giving Beth the title in her home townbadnewzxl wrote:I enjoyed this PPV up until the Divas title match. Really, WWE, you give us the SAME match we saw last month? And Cena beating Del Rio made me yawn; I'm not even interested in seeing where/if the feud goes from here.
That was my thought as well when i saw Cena had won the title. I was keeping tabs on PPV by checking in on here & wikipedia. In fact when i looked on wikipedia after Cena won it said:cero2k wrote:then the Cena/del RIo. it's one of those that just makes you wonder, why would you even give him the title??
