Post by Big Red Machine » Jul 23rd, '13, 13:35

Yeah... so I kind of don't want to book out all of the logistics of the MITB qualifiers and more importantly, I really want to catch up to current WWE, because I am sick and tired of them doing things that I had planned out first but hadn't gotten up to yet, like Cena vs. Henry, a Cena vs. Dragon main event, the whole "you can beat Sheamus by knocking him out" angle (general rule of thumb: if it's an undercard thing and I do it within about two months of when they did, I probably had it planned out already on my own. Anything after that I probably got inspired by WWE. Same for main event stuff, except six months, not two. [I have all but one of my World Title matches until WM 30 planned out already, lol]). So for the rest of the MITB build up, I am going to break it down match-by-match, rather than posting all of the TV shows in order.

So... here goes:

WWE Title Picture:
Mark Henry picks up some squash wins on Main Event and Superstars.
On the 6/28/2013 Smackdown, Mark Henry cuts a promo explaining why he came after Cena. Henry says “I don’t care if a runt like Daniel Bryan is the WWE Champion, Cena is the biggest dog in the yard.”
One the 7/1 Raw Cena (live, via satellite) cuts a promo saying that his WWE Title rematch can wait. He demands a match with Mark Henry. Daniel Bryan says that he wants to prove that, as WWE Champion, he is the man to beat. He offers to defend the WWE Title in a Triple Threat match at Money in the Bank against both Cena and Henry. Steph thinks this is a good idea, so she books the match.

WWE.com hypes up the 7/5 Smackdown as Cena’s return to live WWE events, but stresses that Cena isn’t medically cleared to wrestle just yet.
On the 7/5 Smackdown, Tyson Kidd says that he deserves a title shot more than Cena or Henry because he actually beat Dragon, but he doesn’t have faith that Dragon can retain at MITB against both guys so he wants his title shot before that. Dragon comes out and says that he is a fighting champion, so he will take Kidd on as the main event tonight.

Interviewers asks both Cena and Henry who they want to win. Cena is a babyface about it saying he’s sure that the better man will win, that he respects both guys, and that it will be a great match. Henry says it doesn’t matter because they are both bugs.

Both Dragon and Kidd cut backstage promos unhappy at Henry calling them bugs. Henry screws up their title match by attacking both guys. Cena makes the save and the show ends with Henry and Cena brawling.

On the 7/8 Raw, Tyson Kidd is added to the WWE Title match at Money in the Bank, making it a Fatal 4 Way match.

WWE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE PICTURE & US TITLE PICTURE (& related stuff):
(Smackdown 6/28/2013)-
WWE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Colons(c) (w/Rosa Mendes) vs. The Prime Time Players-
PTP have the match won but Rosa distracts the ref so their pinfall isn’t counted. A distraction by Rosa allows the Colons to take the advantage back, and a third distraction by Rosa later on allows them to use a steel chair to get the win.

Jack Swagger cuts a promo saying that Cesaro is the one who can’t admit the truth: that he needs to cheat to retain his title all the time.

On the 7/1 Raw, Primo gets the IC Title shot he earned by pinned Rollins on Raw. He is doing well early on while Rosa and Epico are distracting both Rollins and the ref, but once PTP come out and chase them away, Rollins takes over and wins cleanly to retain the title.
We also get a backstage segment with Cesaro doing something to infuriate Swagger, but Rollins calms Swagger down and tells him not to let Cesaro get to him.

On the 7/3 Main Event, Rollins beats Epico clean. Because he has pinned both tag champs clean, he is awarded a tag title shot and is allowed to pick a partner of his choice. On the 7/5 Smackdown. He chooses his good buddy Jack Swagger.
Also on the 7/5 Smackdown, Cesaro does a sarcastic, disrespectful “tribute” to the US in “honor” of Independence Day. Swagger, being the All-American American patriot that he is, runs in and stops this.
Also on this show, PTP show Steph footage of them having various matches against the Colons won but distractions by Rosa always prevent the ref from making the count. They also show Steph footage of Rosa being the difference maker in the Colons matches. Steph says she’ll take it under consideration.

On the 7/8 Raw, Rollins & Swagger challenge the Colons for the tag titles. Rosa seems to be making all of the difference, distracting both the babyfaces and the ref at key points until PTP come out and chase her away. The Colons retain after Cesaro comes out and assaults Swagger, costing him the match.

Steph comes out and makes two announcements: She has decided to grant PTP one last title shot against the Colons… and Rosa Mendes will be barred from ringside… but if PTP don’t win, they will not receive another tag title match until the Colons have lost the belts.
She also announces that she is not happy with Cesaro’s disrespectful actions to towards the USA. She says because Cesaro just cost Swagger a title match, it is only fair that Swagger receive another title match… against Cesaro.

On the 7/12 Smackdown, Swagger cuts a promo about how he will be proud to take the US Title from Cesaro in America’s birthplace: Philadelphia.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE PICTURE:
One the 6/28 Smackdown, Ziggler says that he wants another rematch because he was never pinned, but Steph tells him that he still lost cleanly, so if he wants another World Heavyweight shot, he’ll have to earn it again. She puts him in an MITB Qualifier, which he wins.
One the 7/1 Raw, Wade Barrett cuts a promo saying that now that he has perfected his speed, he knows he can put Sheamus down with the Barrett Barrage. Sheamus comes out and cockily says that he has beaten Barrett already. Barrett points out that when he has hit Sheamus with the Barrett Barrage, he has been kept down for the count, but he never managed to hit it in their match at Payback because Sheamus was too quick. Barrett starts to reiterate that he is faster now, but Sheamus interrupts him and says “fine. Whatever. I’ll give you a title match at Money in the Bank… and just to make it interesting if you win the six man tag we are in tonight, I’ll even let you pick the stips.”
Later on they have a six man tag team match, and the finish sees Barrett hits the Barrett Barrage on Sheamus while Sheamus is on the ring apron. Sheamus tumbles to the floor, but before Barrett can go out to bring him back in the ring, Sheamus’ teammates come in to stop him. Barrett’s teammates come in, too, and, as there is a schmoz in the ring, the KOed Sheamus is counted out on the floor.

On the next SD, Barrett points out that even though he won on Raw, he won by countout, and if that had happened in a title match, he wouldn’t have won the belt. Because of this, he has decided to pick a match type in which there is no way that any fluke like that will allow Sheamus to escape with the belt if Wade knocks him out with the Barrett Barrage… a Last Man Standing match!

DIVAS TITLE PICTURE:
On Smackdown, we get a four way non-title match between Brie Bella, AJ, Tamina, and Alicia Fox in which both AJ and Brie hit their finishers on Tamina, but they wind up on the outside, and AJ dives on the Bellas… and meanwhile Alicia Fox sneaks in and hits her moonsault on Tamina for the pin.
While Alicia Fox is awarded a Divas Title match at MITB, we also get a tournament to determine the #1 contender at Summer Slam (I do that WAY too often, don't I). Nikki Bella loses in the first round, but Brie makes it to the finals with help from Nikki via twin magic. The other person who makes it to the finals is AJ Bryan, and the finals will take place at MITB.

MITB MATCHES & (related stuff):
Various people win their qualifying matches, mean while Punk and Tensai winding up both picking up tons of wins against all of the people who qualify for MITB. Punk and Tensai is the last scheduled qualifier, and is the main event of the go-home show. They go to a draw.

On WWE.com Steph announces that because neither Punk nor Tensai won the match, neither of them has qualified for MITB, so to fill the final spot, she has made a match on the pre-show between two top NXT Stars: Brodie Lee and Kassius Ohno. She also says that Punk and Tensai have both been very impressive lately, so she books them in a rematch on MITB, which she promises will have a major standing on the world title picture.

WWE Money in the Bank 2013 (7/14/2013) Philadelphia, PA:

PRE-SHOW:
WINNER GETS INTO THE WWE TITLE MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH: Lake Harper vs. Kassius Ohno-
Harper wins clean in eight minutes.

Rob Van Dam cuts a backstage promo. He is very cocky and arrogant but still manages to be a babyface as only RVD can. He predicts certain victory for himself tonight.

MAIN SHOW:
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE CONTRACT MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH: Ryback vs. Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Kane vs. R-Truth, vs. Evan Bourne vs. Dolph Ziggler (w/Vickie Guerrero) vs. Damien Sandow (w/Naomi)-
The athletic guys do cool spots. Kane dominates everyone he comes across, aside from Ryback. Those two have a big face-to-face confrontation and slugfest that spills outside of the ring up onto the ramp. While this is happening, the other six guys do some big sequence in the ring, resulting in Cody winning the match.

WWE DIVAS TITLE MATCH: Tamina Snuka(c) vs. Alicia Fox-
Tamina wins clean in six.

We get a backstage segment with AJ & Dragon. They are distraught because AJ’s match is right after Dragon’s so she won’t be able to be at ringside with him. Dragon is already nervous going into this match, wondering if perhaps he hasn’t bitten off more than he can chew and is very worried about being considered a fluke. AJ tells Dragon that she believes in him.

CM PUNK vs. TENSAI-
Punk wins clean in eleven minutes

WWE UNITED STATES TITLE MATCH: Antonio Cesaro(c) (w/Aksana) vs. Jack Swagger-
Cesaro opens things up by cutting an anti-American promo, but he is interrupted by Swagger, who comes out waving the American flag, etc. etc. After about twenty minutes of back-and-forth action, Swagger makes Cesaro tap cleanly in the middle of the ring to win the United States Title in Philadelphia, where our founding fathers had declared their independence from Great Britain so many years before.

Wade Barrett cuts a promo about how he will hit Sheamus with the Barrett Barrage and win the World Heavyweight Title.

LAST CHANCE MATCH FOR THE WWE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES WITH ROSA MENDES BARRED FROM RINGSIDE: The Colons(c) vs. the Prime Time Players-
PTP win clean in twelve minutes to win back the titles.

Tyson Kidd cuts a promo about this being his first WWE Title shot and he is going to make the most of it.

WWE TITLE CONTRACT MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH: Rob Van Dam vs. Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins vs. Brodus Clay vs. Christian (w/Paige) vs. The Miz (w/Corey Graves) vs. Alberto Del Rio (w/Ricardo Rodriguez) vs. Luke Harper-
Harper is a wrecking ball, just destroying anyone he comes into contact with. RVD gets a few teases in, and Graves and Ricardo both try to get involved in the match. At one point, Del Rio has the match won, but Rey Mysterio Jr. jumps the barricade and pushes the ladder over. Rey and Del Rio brawl away from ringside. While Harper is destroying people on the outside, RVD seems to have the match won, but Christian sneaks up behind him, hits him with a low blow, then wins the match.

FATAL 4 WAY MATCH FOR THE WWE TITLE: Daniel Bryan(c) vs. Mark Henry vs. John Cena vs. Tyson Kidd (w/Natalya Neidhart)-
Dragon wins clean, pinning Tyson Kidd in fifteen minutes. AJ comes out, and she and Dragon celebrate a bit, then Dragon stays at ringside for AJ’s match.

WINNER BECOMES #1 CONTENDER TO THE WWE DIVAS TITLE AT SUMMER SLAM: AJ Bryan (w/Daniel Bryan) vs. Brie Bella (w/Nikki Bella)-
They go for about seven minutes. The finish comes when the Bellas try to do a twin switch but Dragon catches them. One of the Bellas then throws powder in Dragon’s eyes and they do the switch anyway. AJ still manages to get the pin on the fresh Bella, though.

LAST MAN STANDING MATCH FOR THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Sheamus(c) vs. Wade Barrett-
Barrett manages to hit the Barrett Barrage, but Sheamus still manages to make it up before the ten count. Sheamus goes on to win the match clean in twenty minutes.

Raw: (7/15/2013)- Brooklyn, NY

Raw opens with an angry Alberto Del Rio in the ring. He says that he knows Rey is backstage and demands that Rey come out and fight him. Being a good babyface, Rey does just that… but it’s an ambush! The Colons attack Rey while he is on his way down the ramp. The heels all beat Rey down until Sin Cara comes out and makes the save with a steel chair. The heels bail in Del Rio’s car. Rey grabs a mic and challenges them to a tag match “whenever they find their cajones.”
*cut to commercial*

When Raw returns, Dragon comes out to the ring. He cuts a promo saying that he wants to get back on track being a fighting champion. Steph comes out and tells Dragon that he should be careful he wishes for and makes a #1 contendership match tonight: Orton vs. RVD vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Ryback, with the winner getting a WWE Title match in four days on Smackdown. Dragon thanks Steph for this and heads to the back.
Stephanie then says that Summer Slam is the "Wrestlemania of the Summer"… and the road to Wrestlemania starts at the Royal Rumble… so this year, the road to Summer Slam will start with a twenty person “Summer Rumble” on Smackdown, with the winner receiving a World Heavyweight Title match at Summer Slam. She also says that as a reward for beating Tensai last night in a match that she promised would have a major effect on the World Heavyweight Title picture, CM Punk will be the final entrant into that match.

Steph continues to talk about how great the match will be, but Cesaro comes out and interrupts her. He says that he wants to correct the injustice that was done to him last night as soon as possible. He tells Steph that he wants his return match with Swagger tonight. Steph says that she will make the match if Swagger is okay with it. Swagger, being a fighting babyface, comes out and says that he is fine having the match right now…

WWE UNITED STATES TITLE MATCH: Jack Swagger(c) vs. Antonio Cesaro-
They have a good back and forth match. Cesaro gets a nearfall when Aksana comes out and causes a distraction, but Swagger gets the win, pinning Claudio with the Red, White, & Blue Thunder Bomb.

Backstage, Josh Matthews asks Christian when he plans on cashing in the WWE Title MITB Contract. Christian dismissively replies “I’ll cash it in when I decide to cash it in. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have an important match to prepare for.”

CM PUNK vs. CHRISTIAN (w/Paige)-
Punk def. Christian clean in fifteen minutes.

Backstage, Renee Young starts to interview John Cena, but Cena is immediately bulldozed into the set by Mark Henry. Henry looks down at Cena and simply says “We ain’t done.”

EVAN BOURNE vs. THE MIZ (w/Corey Graves)-
Bourne wins clean with the Shooting Star Press in eight minutes.

Josh Matthews is backstage interviewing Cody Rhodes, asking him when he will cash in the World Heavyweight Title MITB Contract. Cody says that he wants to make his family proud and be a World Heavyweight Champion, holding the same physical belt that his father held. He won’t cash in for a while because title shots don’t come around very often and Cody wants to make certain that he is ready for his.

SHEAMUS & THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS vs. HEATH SLATER, JINDER MAHAL, & DAMIEN SANDOW (w/Naomi)-
PTP and Sheamus win handily, and even do a bit of show-offy goofing around in the process. This, along with the seeming ineptness of his partners, frustrates Sandow immensely. Slater eats a Brogue Kick and takes the pin in under five minutes.

AJ cuts a backstage promo about wanting to win the Divas Title and achieve her childhood dream of being a champion in the WWE and how she and Dragon will be able to be champions together.

WADE BARRETT & ROMAN REIGNS vs. SETH ROLLINS & BRODUS CLAY (w/Cameron)-
Rollins wins in clean in twelve minutes, pinning Reigns. Kane attacks all four guys after the match.

Tensai cuts a backstage promo saying that he might have lost to Punk last night, but he still considers himself to be in the hunt for a world title shot.

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 (Adrian Neville & Justin Gabriel) vs. R-TRUTH & TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya Neidhart)-
Gabriel pins Truth after both he and Neville hit him with crazy flippy moves in succession.

The Bellas cut a promo saying that AJ shouldn’t be the #1 contender because she pinned Nikki, not Brie. They cover up their twin switch by saying that Nikki had gotten into the ring to protect Brie, but that brute AJ went after Nikki, too (a blatant lie, but that’s why heels are fun).

WINNER GETS A WWE TITLE MATCH ON SMACKDOWN: Rob Van Dam vs. Ryback vs. Dolph Ziggler (w/Vickie Guerrero) vs. Randy Orton (w/Bo Dallas)-
Dragon does guest commentary on this match. The announcers note that RVD seems to be showing some ring rust and doesn’t seem to be able to keep up with the others so well. Orton gets the pin on Ziggler in twenty minutes.

WWE Main Event: (7/17/2013)-
TENSAI vs. MIZ (w/Corey Graves)-
Tensai gets the clean win in ten minutes

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 vs. DAVID OTUNGA & JINDER MAHAL-
Airstrike wins clean in six minutes

EVAN BOURNE vs. ANTONIO CESARO (w/Aksana)-
Bourne wins clean in twenty minutes

WWE.com reports that Del Rio has accepted Rey and Cara's challenge, but says that, in the interests of fairness, it will be a regular tag match instead of a 3-on-2 handicap match. In addition to this match, a one-on-one contest between John Cena and Mark Henry has been signed. Add to that both the Summer Rumble and a WWE Title match between Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan, and this week's Smackdown looks to be one of the biggest in history!

Smackdown: (7/19/2013)- Providence, RI

SIN CARA & REY MYSTERIO JR. vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO & EPICO (w/Rosa Mendes & Alberto Del Rio) -
Rey starts the match for his team and has control for a bit. Cara comes in and he and Rey set up for a double team move, but Cara hits Rey with an Enzugiri! Cara, Del Rio, and Epico all beat Rey down, then Cara takes his mask off… and it’s PRIMO! They all kick Rey in the head, then stick his head between the steps and the ringpost and smash the steps with a chair. The babyfaces, as well as Hunico, all pour out of the locker room to chase away the heels, who get into Del Rio’s car and bolt.

AJ cuts a promo saying that if the Bellas want her to prove that she can beat Brie, she has no problem doing that.

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 vs. TED DIBIASE JR. & CODY RHODES-
Airstrike win clean with their finisher (Gabriel’s 450 followed by something even more flippy by Neville) in eight minutes, pinning Ted. The announcers put over the fact that International Airstrike 2.0 just beat former WWE World Tag Team Champions

Sheamus cuts a backstage promo hyping up the Summer Rumble. He says he thinks it is a great way to determine a #1 contender.

JOHN CENA vs. MARK HENRY-
They go for about six minutes with Henry in control because Cena is struggling to lift him up, before The Miz comes out and attacks Herny with a steel chair. Cena is puzzled by this, but, being a good babyface, he grabs a chair of his own and chases The Miz away.

Rob Van Dam cuts a backstage promo guaranteeing a victory in tonight’s Summer Rumble because he is RVD.

WWE TITLE MATCH: Daniel Bryan(c) (w/AJ Bryan) vs. Randy Orton (w/Bo Dallas)-
Dragon wins clean in twenty to retain

SUMMER RUMBLE:
The first two men in are Cesaro and RVD. They do some stuff until the third guy, Zack Ryder comes in. The string starts to fill up a bit, with firth Seth Rollins, then Jinder Mahal, then Bo Dallas. RVD gets the first elimination of the match, eliminating Jinder. RVD then starts showboating, resulting in Rollins pushing him off of the turnbuckles and down to the floor.
David Otunga enters next, followed by Evan Bourne, and while Bourne is on his way to the ring, Bo Dallas surprisingly manages to eliminate WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins. Bourne is a crazy ball of energy, running around the ring and hitting everybody with moves. He manages to eliminate Ryder. The next man in is Tyson Kidd, and he, like Bourne just runs around and starts hitting everyone with moves. Santino Marella returns to the ring and tries to stop the onslaught of fast-paced moves from Bourne and Kidd, but he gets dizzy just trying to follow them moving around the ring so quickly.
Then Kane enters the match.
Kane starts to dominate everyone. He quickly eliminates both Santino and dishes out chokeslams to everyone. He even manages to eliminate the big Antonio Cesaro. The announcers wonder if anyone can stop Kane.
The next man in is Ryback. They have a staredown, then start slugging it out in the middle of the ring. They tease eliminating each other a few times, then, finally, as Damien Sandow’s music starts to play, everyone else in the ring teams up and they manage to eliminates Kane and Ryback together. Kane is very pissed about this, and as he passes Sandow on the ramp, he gives him a chokeslam.
The next man in is Tensai, and he picks up right where Kane left off, fist eliminating David Otunga, then dominating the smaller men in the match. The next man in is Brodus Clay, and he and Tensai have a slugfest, but Tensai manages to eliminate him. Tensai next eliminates Tyson Kidd, and almost eliminates Bourne as well. Jack Swagger enters the match. We get some more action but no eliminations until the next two men, Ziggler and Barrett, are in the match. At that point Ziggler eliminates Bourne and Tensai eliminates Bo.
R-Truth enters the match, followed by the final entrant: CM Punk. Punk eliminates Truth, then also eliminates Ziggler, while Tensai eliminates Barrett. Punk and Tensai have a good three minute back-and-forth until Punk manages to dump Tensai over the ropes towards the announce table to win the match… and Sandow sneaks in behind Punk and tosses Punk over the top rope, winning the match and the World Heavyweight Title shot at Summer Slam.

WWE.com reports that Rey was seriously injured and his return date is indefinite.

WWE.com reports that Steph has signed a rematch for #1 contendership to the Divas Title between AJ and Brie for Raw. In other divas action, Kaitlyn will take on Alicia Fox.

Raw: (7/22/2013) Austin, TX
Raw opens with Sin Cara and Hunico in the ring. Cara yells angrily in Spanish and Hunico makes it clear that they are calling out Del Rio and the Colons. Del Rio and the Colons come out and they brawl. The heels numbers game gives them the advantage until Cena comes out to even things up and the heels decide to bail. Hunico begs Steph to give them a six man street fight tonight, and Steph comes out and makes it the main event.

Josh Matthews is interviewing Santino about his return from injury when Zack Ryder shows up and they start doing goofy things. Brodus Clay shows up and they all start doing their own patented silly dance moves. Sheamus shows up and he joins in their goofiness as well. Sandow looks on disapprovingly from the background.

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 vs. DREW MCINTYRE & MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY-
Airstrike win clean in ten.

We get a quick backstage segment with AJ and Kaitlyn wishing each other good luck in their matches tonight.

THE PRIMETIME PLAYERS, EVAN BOURNE,& JACK SWAGGER vs. TENSAI, ROMAN REIGNS, DOLPH ZIGGLER, & CHRISTIAN (w/Vickie Guerrero, Paige)-
The match is set up to let Bourne shine. The finish comes when Tensai pins Swagger clean after fifteen minutes.

Miz cuts a promo saying that everyone seems to have made waves these past few years by calling out John Cena. Punk did it. Rock did it. Nexus did it. Even Brock Lesnar did it… not using his words, of course, but the message was clear. The most recent guy to d this was Mark Henry… but the first guy to do it was Miz, back in 2009. Miz says that he is sick and tired of people getting popular off of his ideas, so he attacked Mark last week to send him a message. Henry comes out and says that he will squash Miz like a bug. Miz bails.

KAITYLN vs. ALICIA FOX-
Kaitlyn wins clean in five minutes after working over Fox’s ribs and hitting her with a spear. Alicia is clutching her ribs after the match, apparently injured.

RVD cuts a promo saying that he hasn’t really being doing so well since his return to WWE. He has had three matches and three losses. Even worse, he guaranteed wins in two of them, but couldn’t come through. He admits that he might have been a bit overconfident about his return. He says that he didn’t do too much scouting and says that he probably didn’t train as hard as he should have because he didn’t realize that the level of competition in WWE had gone up so much since his last run. He promises to train harder and do better.

WINNER BECOMES #1 CONTENDER TO THE WWE DIVAS TITLE AT SUMMER SLAM: AJ Bryan (w/Daniel Bryan) vs. Brie Bella (w/Nikki Bella)-
The Bellas manage to pull off a twin switch while the ref is arguing with Dragon (who had jumped up on the apron to yell at the ref because he kept missing Brie pulling AJ’s hair), but AJ once again manages to win anyway.

Cody Rhodes cuts a backstage promo talking about how he wants his father to be proud of him, despite all of the horrible things he said about his father last fall and winter. He says that when he was growing up, he wanted to be just like his dad, and that winning MITB will help him achieve that dream and become a World Heavyweight Champion just like his father.

*cut to commercial*

When we come back from commercial, Cole sends us backstage to Josh Matthews who is going to give us an injury update on Alicia Fox. He starts to tell us that she has badly bruised ribs, but he is interrupted by Cesaro, who grabs the mic and shoves him aside. Cesaro then cuts the following promo:
“Before we went to break, I heard the most pathetic thing I have ever heard in my life. Cody Rhodes said that he wanted to be like his father. Why the hell would anyone ever want to be like Dusty Rhodes? He was fat and pathetic idiot in polka dots who was barely comprehensible in English, never mind speaking any other languages. Why the hell would anyone ever want to be like that?!

FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH: Seth Rollins vs. Wade Barrett vs. Tyson Kidd (w/Natalya) vs. Bo Dallas (w/Randy Orton)-
The finish comes when Rollins hits Wade with Avada Kedavra and Kidd with a Blackout, but Bo sneaks up behind him and rolls him up for the pin. Orton quickly drops in on commentary for a few minutes to bury RVD for underestimating the level of competition in the WWE and for not training hard enough.

Hunico and Cena (with Sin Cara) cut backstage promos about what Rey means to them both as a lucha megastar and as a friend and they say that what Del Rio and the Colons did to Rey was despicable. They say that they can’t be held accountable if they put one of the heels out tonight as revenge for Rey.

R-TRUTH vs. DAVID OTUNGA-
They go for about three minutes before Kane interrupts them. Otunga bails but Truth valiantly tries to fight off the monster. Kane hits him with a chokeslam, then brings the steps into the ring. He sets Truth up to hit a Tombstone Piledriver on the steps but Ryback comes out to makes the save and kane and Ryback have brawl which is broken up the entire locker room.

Josh Matthews interviews AJ (and Dragon) about AJ once again winning #1 contendership at Summer Slam. AJ starts to cut a promo about how much she wants to win the belt, but the Bellas interrupt her and again claim that the win shouldn’t count because AJ pinned the wrong Bella. The Bellas have a shouting match with AJ and Dragon, which last for a good twenty seconds until Steph shows up. She tells the Bellas that she is getting sick and tired of their crap. She says she will settle this by making a rematch this Friday on Smackdown… but Nikki will be barred from ringside (meaning that if she shows up at ringside, Brie will be DQed).

STREET FIGHT: John Cena, Sin Cara, and Hunico vs. Alberto Dle Rio & the Colon (w/Ricardo Rodriguez & Rosa Mendes)-
This is a twenty minute wild all over the arena brawl. Cara and Hunico both get taken out by HUGE bumps from the heels and, despite his best efforts, Cena can’t overcome the odds and is pinned by Del Rio.

WWE Main Event: (7/24/2013)

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 vs. YOSHI TATSU & EVAN BOURNE-
International Airstrike win clean in five minutes. Bourne actually controls the match while he is legal, but things go downhill for his team once he tags in Tatsu.

TENSAI vs. CHRISTIAN (w/Paige)-
Tensai wins clean in fourteen minutes

WADE BARRETT vs. BO DALLAS (w/Randy Orton)-
Bo wins with a big upset clean in fourteen minutes.

John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, the Colons, Ryback, Justin Gabriel, Adrian Neville, and Wade Barrett will not be at this week’s Superstars or Smackdown because they are doing publicity work for WWE’s upcoming tour of South Africa.

WWE Superstars: (7/25/2013)
CM PUNK vs. DAMIEN SANDOW (w/Naomi)-
Punk wins clean in four minutes when he catches Sandow in an early Anaconda Vise and Sandow taps the moment the hold is locked on.

THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS vs. DAVID OTUNGA & JINDER MAHAL-
PTP win clean in six.

LUKE HARPER vs. YOSHI TATSU-
Harper destroys Tatsu in under a minute.

EVAN BOURNE & BRODUS CLAY (w/the Funkadactyls) vs. RANDY ORTON & BO DALLAS-
Randy & Bo win clean in thirteen minutes when Bo pins Brodus. The match is designed to shine both Bourne and Bo.

Over the course of the past few days many Superstars have Tweeted and Touted comments reacting negatively to Antonio Cesaro’s comments about WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes. To ensure that Mr. Cesaro did not misspeak in any way, WWE will give him a chance to speak on the subject on Smackdown in a live in-ring interview with Michael Cole.

Matches signed for this week’s Smackdown include Mark Henry vs. The Miz, a Divas Title #1 contendnership rematch from Money in the Bank with Nikki Bella barred from ringside, and Tensai vs. R-Truth. Tonight’s main event will be Bo Dallas and Randy Orton vs. RVD and Seth Rollins. This match stems from Orton’s negative comments about RVD’s work ethic on Raw as well as Bo Dallas’ pinning Seth Rollins. For both eliminating Rollins from the Summer Rumble and then pinning him on Raw, Bo has been granted a shot at Rollins’ Intercontinental Title, which will take place next week on Raw.

Smackdown
: (7/26/2013)- Corpus Christi, TX
The show opens with Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo in the ring. Del Rio complains that if it hadn’t been for Rey toppling over the ladder at Money in the Bank, he would have won the WWE Title MITB contract and therefore he deserves a WWE Title match. Christian comes out and says that is how things go and it sucks to be Del Rio. Steph comes out and makes a match between them for right now:

CHRISTIAN vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)-
Del Rio works over Christian’s arm and slams it into the steps, the ringpost, and an exposed turnbuckle before making Christian tap in sixteen minutes. After the match it is clear that Christian’s arm is injured.

We get a backstage segment with Sheamus and PTP being goofy together. Titus tells a outrageous story about Pancake Patterson, and Sheamus counters by telling an even more outrageous story about his great uncle Barney. Sandow and Naomi look on disapprovingly.

TENSAI vs. R-TRUTH-
Tensai wins clean in six minutes. After the match, Kane assaults Truth and taunts him that there is no Ryback here to save him now.

Renee Young asks Tamina for her thoughts on the whole #1 Contendership situation. She says she thinks the whole thing is stupid. She also says that it doesn’t matter who wins the match because neither Brie nor AJ are in her league.

MARK HENRY vs. THE MIZ (w/Corey Graves)-
Henry wins clean in six minutes.

Renee Young apologizes to Jack Swagger that the WWE interview team has kind of overlooked his title win and asks him what is next for Swagger. Swagger says that he will have a dominant reign as US Champion, just like Cesaro did, but unlike Cesaro, he will be a champion that America can be proud of.

Michael Cole conducts an in-ring interview with Antonio Cesaro. Cole introduces the segment by saying that Cesaro made some very controversial and derogatory comments about WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes on Raw. He asks Cesaro why he said what he said. Cesaro responds that he said what he said because it was true. He is not surprised that Americans don’t like it because Americans would much rather hide their heads in the sand than deal with hard truths. He then gives an example of another hard truth: America is the most overweight nation in the world. He says it is no wonder that Americans would consider a pathetic overweight idiot like Dusty Rhodes to be the “American Dream,” because Americans are all fat and pathetic, too. He says that Dusty is just a “common man” with no sophistication about him whatsoever. He can barely speak English, let alone any other languages.
Cody comes out and demands a match with Cesaro, and a ref comes out saying that Steph has granted that request… and the match will be right now!

ANTONIO CESARO vs. CODY RHODES-
The go for about seven minutes until Claudio gets the win after an undetected low blow followed by the Gotch-style Neutralizer. Cesaro then grabs a mic and claims that he could beat Dusty's ass just as easily as he just beat Cody’s. The announcers, of course, bury Cesaro for claiming to be a tough guy by calling out a 67 year old man and cheating to beat Cody.

RVD cuts a backstage promo on Orton. He says that he will show Randy a thing or two about working hard during tonight’s main event.

WINNER BECOMES #1 CONTENDER TO THE WWE DIVAS TITLE AT SUMMER SLAM, NIKKI BELLA IS BARRED FROM RINGSIDE: Brie Bella vs. AJ Bryan (w/Daniel Bryan)-
A few minutes into the match, Tamina comes down to ringside. She starts trash-talking both women. Dragon starts to yell at her for insulting his wife, and Brie tells the ref that Dragon’s loud yelling is distracting her, and asks the ref to eject Dragon from ringside, which he does. Tamina continues her trash talk, and AJ starts to answer her back. Tamina’s insults keep distracting AJ, so the ref ejects Tamina from ringside as well. While the ref and AJ are busy with Tamina, Brie rolls out of the ring behind them and flips up the apron. Nikki Bella comes out and they pull a twin switch, with Brie taking Nikki’s place hiding under the ring. This time the twin switch works and Nikki Bella immediately catches AJ in a small package to get the win.
The ref announces Brie as the winner, but Dragon runs down to ringside. He gets the ref's attention, then flips up the ring apron and pulls Brie out. Realizing that Nikki was at ringside during the match, the ref reverses his decision and declares AJ the winner by DQ.

CM Punk cuts a promo saying that his quick victory over Damien Sandow last night on Superstars proves that he deserves to be the #1 contender instead of Sandow and that Sandow only won the Summer Rumble by hiding like a coward.

RANDY ORTON & BO DALLAS vs. SETH ROLLINS & ROB VAN DAM-
The match goes ten minutes. The finish comes when Orton hits Rollins with an RKO and pins him. Right before this RVD had hit Bo with his spiral leg drop with Bo draped over the barricade, and as a result, was a second too late to break up the pin.

On Smackdown, after cheating to beat Cody Rhodes, Antonio Cesaro declared that he could beat Dusty Rhodes as well… well now Cesaro might just have to eat those words, and the American Dream himself is planning on being at next week’s Smackdown in Houston, TX, and he is looking for a fight! Dusty’s son, World Heavyweight Title contract Money in the Bank-holder Cody Rhodes, will be taking this week’s WWE events off to help his father train for this match.

WWE.com reports that John Cena will not be at tonight’s Raw because he is doing a charity appearance for the Make-a-Wish foundation. Christian will also not be appearing on Raw this week as he will be evaluated by a doctor after suffering an injury to his shoulder in his match with Alberto Del Rio. He will be out an unknown amount of time.

Two WWE Superstars went to GM of Raw and Smackdown Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley to request matches for tonight’s Raw: R-Truth requested a match against Kane and Antonio Cesaro, who will face WWE Hall of Famer the American Dream Dusty Rhodes on Smackdown, has requested a match against Brodus Clay. Both requests were granted.

Raw: (7/29/2013)- Laredo, TX
INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 vs. THE USOS-
Airstrike win clean in eight minutes. After the match, PTP come out and say that they have been very impressed by Airstrike. If Airstrike can pick up another big win or two, PTP say they will ask Steph to book a WWE World Tag Team Title match.

Renee Young asks Damien Sandow to respond to CM Punk’s claim from Smackdown that his victory over Sandow on Superstars proves that Sandow’s victory in the Summer Rumble and the title shot he will get because of it were all the result of cowardice and luck. Sandow says that Punk didn’t really beat him. Sandow tapped out so quickly to the Anaconda Vise because he didn’t want to risk injuring himself in a meaningless match with Punk when he has a World Heavyweight Title match coming up. That is called strategy, and if CM Punk were smart, he would have realized that immediately.

Alberto Del Rio comes out to the ring and demands a WWE Title match. Dragon comes out and says that he is a fighting champion and will take on anyone. Steph comes out and says that title shots must be earned, but she will give Del Rio a chance to earn one tonight in a first-time-ever match-up against Rob Van Dam!

Josh Matthews asks R-Truth why on earth he would ask for a match against a psychotic monster like Kane. Truth says that Kane has tried to put him out twice in the past week, and he wants to put a stop to it.

Sheamus comes out to the ring and starts to cut one of his goofy promos. You know the type. I believe someone on this board once referred to them promos about “his uncle Fargus’ green left testicle” or something along those lines. Just a totally goofy promo about one of his many uncles who lives back in Ireland that doesn’t seem like it will ever go anywhere relevant.
Damien Sandow comes out and interrupts him. Sandow says that he has watched Sheamus’ idiocy for for years now, and he just can’t take it anymore. The fact that such an imbecile holds the World Heavyweight Title and has held it for 484 days now is a disgrace to the entire WWE, and he will not stand it for one minute longer. He can’t wait until Summer Slam. He wants his title shot right here, right now! Steph comes out and makes it official.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Sheamus(c) vs. Damien Sandow (w/Naomi)-
Sheamus wins clean in seventeen minutes

Cesaro cuts a promo telling everyone that he asked for tonight’s match against Brodus to prove that he could beat a lazy, idiotic dancing American fat-ass like Dusty Rhodes.

R-TRUTH vs. KANE-
Kane destroys R-Truth in six minutes. Kane keeps beating Truth down after the match when Ryback comes out and once again makes the save. We get another massive brawl between these guys and the locker room empties to break it up. The announcers put Ryback over as the only guy who has been able to go toe-to-toe with Kane since Kane’s return at Wrestlemania.

TENSAI vs. TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya Neidhart)-
Tensai wins clean in eight minutes. After the match Tensai calls out Jack Swagger. He says that Swagger won’t be able to have a long dominant US Title reign like he claimed on Smackdown because Tensai wants a shot at the title. Tensai points out that he pinned Swagger in the tag match on Raw last week and demands a title shot. Swagger comes out and agrees to give Tensai a title match, but vows that he will make Tensai tap out and that it will be the first of many US Title defenses in a long reign that America can be proud of.

The Bellas cut a promo claiming that AJ doesn’t deserve to be #1 contender because she only won by DQ rather than by actually proving her superiority over Brie. They also claim that even if she is the #1 contender, Nikki pinned her on Raw and thus should be #1 contender instead of AJ. A pissed off Steph storms out to the ring tells the Bellas that if they want to be in the ring with the Divas Champion so badly, she will give them their wish. Tonight, they will team up to face Tamina and AJ. The Bellas obviously don’t like this, but Steph glares at them and tells them to get out to the ring because she has more important business to deal with.

THE BELLA TWINS vs. TAMINA SNUKA & AJ BRYAN (w/Daniel Bryan)-
AJ gets shined in the beginning, but the Bellas use hair pulling to get the advantage and we go into the heat. AJ starts to make her comeback but whenever she is close to making a tag, Tamina doesn’t stick her arm out. Dragon starts yelling “what are you doing?!” at Tamina, but she ignores him and sits down at the announce desk. She says that the Divas Title is all that is important to her. AJ is her competition so she is fine throwing away this match if it means that the Bellas will work AJ over. Dragon follows her to commentary and starts yelling at her again. It is clear that Dragon is pretty much about to hit her, so JBL and Cole go to try to calm him down and restrain him. The Bellas use the two-on-one advantage and wind up beating AJ, with Nikki getting the pin.
**cut to commercial**
Backstage, the trainers are in AJ and Dragon’s locker room icing AJ down after the beating she took tonight. Dragon and Kaitlyn both cut angry promos on Tamina, with Kaitlyn challenging Tamina to a match on Main Event

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Seth Rollins(c) vs. Bo Dallas (w/Randy Orton)-
Rollins wins clean in ten minutes. After the match Orton grabs the IC Title belt. He makes like he is going to give the belt to Rollins, but suddenly pulls it back. He smiles at Rollins and says “nice belt. Just remember, I pinned you last week.” Orton gives Rollins the title belt and goes backstage.

Mark Henry cuts a promo saying that he wants to clarify something. Miz was wrong. He didn’t call Cena out to become famous. He’s already famous. He is a former World Heavyweight Champion and he has numerous weightlifting and power-lifting world records to his name. He is the World’s Strongest Man. The problem is that he doesn’t get the respect he deserves for it, from either WWE of from the fans. All of the attention winds up on John Cena… but Henry is going to change that. He is going to beat John Cena and prove that he should be the guy that everyone pays attention to.

ANTONIO CESARO (w/Aksana) vs. BRODUS CLAY (w/Cameron)-
Cesaro wins clean in seven minutes, hitting Brodus with the Gotch-style Neutralizer.

Josh Matthews is interviewing Ryback backstage. Ryback says that he’s not afraid of Kane. Josh says that he thinks Ryback is the only one who will be able to stop the reign of terror Kane has been imposing on the WWE since Wrestlemania.

CM PUNK vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Vickie Guerrero)-
Punk wins clean in 25 minutes.

ROB VAN DAM vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)-
Del Rio wins clean in twenty minutes, earning a WWE Title shot at Summer Slam. Orton does commentary for the match and keeps pointing out what he claims are signs that RVD’s conditioning isn’t at the level that one needs to be at to be a top WWE Superstar.

WWE.com reports that Christian will be out for about a week or so with a shoulder injury. Matches for tomorrow’s WWE Main Event include Kaitlyn vs. Tamina and a big triple threat match between Dolph Ziggler, Evan Bourne, and #1 contender to the WWE Title, Alberto Del Rio.

WWE Main Event: (7/31/2013)-

TAMINA SNUKA vs. KAITLYN-
Tamina wins clean in seven minutes

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 vs. THE USOS-
Airstrike win clean in ten minutes.

EVAN BOURNE vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Vickie Guerrero) vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)-
Del Rio makes Ziggler tap clean in twenty minutes. Bourne gets several close nearfalls on both guys, but they are always broken up.

WWE.com reports that Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley has talked with the Prime Time Players and has agreed to give International Airstrike 2.0 a WWE World Tag Team Title match on next week’s Raw… if they win Smackdown’s tag team main event tonight against two of WWE’s top superstars: CM Punk and the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus. Also on tonight’s Smackdown Jack Swagger defends the US Title against Tensai, Ryback faces Dolph Ziggler, and Antonio Cesaro will face WWE Hall of Famer “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes!

Smackdown: (8/2/2013)- Houston, TX
Smackdown opens with the Bella Twins in the ring. Nikki Bella cuts a promo saying that she has now pinned AJ twice in the past week but AJ hasn’t beaten her. She claims that she deserves the #1 contendership to the Divas Title at Summer Slam. An angry AJ comes out and agrees to put her #1 contendership on the line one final time. Steph comes out and asks AJ if she really wants to do this yet again. AJ says yes, so Steph makes the match for later tonight.

RYBACK vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Vickie Guerrero)-
Ryback wins clean in ten minutes

John Cena cuts a promo saying that he will gladly take Mark Henry on and will even help Mark get some of the attention he so badly wants by asking for the match at Summer Slam… but Cena says that even if Henry wins, he’ll still have to work to get what he really wants. Cena says that he isn’t the face of the WWE just because he is a good wrestler and a thirteen time world champion. He is the face of the company because he works hard for the company. Henry has had times where he was completely content to just sit at home and collect his paycheck, but days off for Cena have been few and far between… and that is by his choice. Cena says that he cares about the company and he cares about the fans, which is why he volunteers to do so many charity and publicity events on behalf of WWE. While Mark Henry might be the World’s Strongest Man, he won’t get the accolades he is looking for unless he steps up his game outside of the ring.

WINNER BECOMES #1 CONTENDER TO THE DIVAS TITLE: AJ Bryan (w/Daniel Bryan & Kaitlyn) vs. Nikki Bella (w/Brie Bella)-
At the beginning of the match, Kaitlyn starts to chase Brie around ringside. Brie runs away from her, but winds up running into Dragon. Brie starts to back away from Dragon, but this allows Kaitlyn to catch her. Dragon pulls out a pair of handcuffs from his pocket and handcuffs Brie to Kaitlyn, so as to prevent any interference or twin magic. AJ goes on to win the match clean.

Josh Matthews is interviewing Dolph Ziggler, but it is interrupted by Kane who assaults Ziggler, giving him a chokeslam on the concrete arena floor. Kane then menacingly corners and goozles Josh Matthews. He tells Matthews that he didn’t like it on Raw when Matthews said that he thought Ryback could stop him. No one can stop him. He is a monster. He is unstoppable. Kane then gives Matthews a chokeslam onto the concrete. Kane leaves and Matthews is stretchered off.

**Cut to commercial**
When we get back from commercial, we are shown a replay of the vicious attack on Josh Matthews, then footage from during the break of Steph, flanked by a zillion security guards, confronting Kane. Steph orders Kane to leave the building and tells him that there will be repercussions for this. Kane laughs maniacally, but then does as he is told, laughing the whole way to his car.

WWE UNITED STATES TITLE MATCH: Jack Swagger(c) vs. Tensai-
Swagger wins clean in nine minutes, making Tensai tap to the Patriot Act.

Alberto Del Rio cuts a backstage promo saying that Dragon isn’t a disgrace like Rey Mysterio is, but he is still a little Chihuahua and Del Rio will take the WWE Title from him just like he has ended Rey’s career.

ROB VAN DAM vs. WADE BARRETT-
RVD wins clean in ten minutes, but Orton still buries him on commentary and says that Rob doesn’t have what it takes to keep up with the top stars in WWE anymore.

Seth Rollins cuts a backstage promo saying that Randy Orton is welcome to try to take the Intercontinental Title from him any time he likes.

ANTONIO CESARO (w/Aksana) vs. DUSTY RHODES (w/Cody Rhdoes)-
Cesaro underestimates Dusty in the beginning, allowing Dusty to get his sh*t in. When Cesaro starts taking Dusty more seriously, though, he starts to dominate. He eventually starts pulling him up after sure pinfalls to keep the match going. At one point Aksana distracts the ref so Cesaro can cheat, but this allows Cody the chance to jump into the ring and hit Cesaro with the MITB briefcase. Dusty then hits the Bionic Elbow and gets the win.

Renee Young asks Daniel Bryan for thoughts on his WWE Title defense at Summer Slam against Alberto Del Rio. Dragon says that he is eager to defend his title against anyone, no matter how big or how small… but it will be a bit more satisfying to make Alberto Del Rio tap out after the horrible things Del Rio has done to a legend like Rey Mysterio Jr.

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 vs. CM PUNK & SHEAMUS-
About twelve minutes in they are brawling on the outside. Punk and Sheamus seem to be in control, but Punk grabs Sheamus and hits him with a GTS. Neville and Gabriel are puzzled, but eventually decide to make the best of the situation and try to roll Sheamus into the ring to pin him, but Punk manages to hold them off until the ref counts Sheamus out.

Later that night, CM Punk Tweets Sheamus, saying “sorry, dude, but you do what you have to do.”

WWE.com reports Kane has been suspended indefinitely for assaulting an announcer. We still don’t know the full extent of Josh Matthews’ injuries or when he will be able to return to work. Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley said in a public statement that she blames herself for Josh’s injury because she did not come down harder on Kane when he viciously assaulted Matt Striker in a similar manner back in June. Dolph Ziggler, who was injured in the same attack, will be out for a few weeks as well.

GM of both Raw and Smackdown Stephanie McMahon Helmsley has signed multiple big matches for WWE programming this week. For Raw she has signed Sheamus vs. Evan Bourne, John Cena vs. Wade Barrett, WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins vs. Cody Rhodes, and WWE Champion Daniel Bryan will face Tensai… and that is in addition to the already scheduled WWE World Tag Team Title match between the Prime Time Players and International Airstrike 2.0.
For Main Event, Evan Bourne vs. Tensai has been signed, while the main event will feature Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins teaming up with WWE Champion Daniel Bryan to face Randy Orton and Bo Dallas.
On Smackdown, Christian will return from his shoulder injury and be thrust right into the thick of things with a big match against WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins.

Shortly before Raw, CM Punk Tweets that tonight, live on Raw, he will reveal to the world why he attacked Sheamus last week.

Raw: (8/5/2013)- Green Bay, WI
SHEAMUS vs. EVAN BOURNE-
The announcers note that Sheamus is likely pissed off at Punk’s betrayal, which doesn’t bode well for Bourne. Bourne does an outstanding job and manages to last twenty minutes against Sheamus before being put down.

Randy Orton cuts a backstage promo in which he tells Rollins to be careful what he wishes for; Randy would like a shot at the Intercontinental Title at Summer Slam.

SETH ROLLINS vs. CODY RHODES-
Rollins wins clean in fifteen minutes

Nikki complains about her match with AJ on Smackdown somehow being unfair for some blatantly false heel reason. Tamina comes up to her and says that she is getting so sick of the Bellas that she will give them a title match just as an excuse to kick one of their asses. Nikki agrees to have the match on Smackdown.

WWE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Prime Time Players(c) vs. International Airstrike 2.0
The match goes about ten minutes. International Airstrike seems to have the belts won, but the Colons come out, wielding steel chairs and assault International Airstrike, bloodying them. PTP also get a beatdown when they try to make the save.

Antonio Cesaro cuts a backstage promo saying that the only reason he lost to Dusty Rhodes on Smackdown is because Cody interfered. He says that Dusty and Cody are both your typical cheating Americans who are too lazy to earn things honestly through hard work.

Michael Cole informs us that Steph has made Rollins vs. Orton for the IC Title at Summer Slam official.

THE MIZ, COREY GRAVES, ROMAN REIGNS, & DAMIEN SANDOW (w/Naomi) vs. RYBACK, JACK SWAGGER, BRODUS CLAY, & TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya Neidhart & Cameron)-
The heels isolate Tyson and get the heat on him. He eventually makes a hot tag to Ryback, who is a wrecking ball. Ryback pins Sandow for the win in eleven minutes.

RVD cuts a backstage promo saying that Orton’s big break started when he beat RVD for the IC Title back at Armageddon 2003… and Van Dam would love to return the favor now by beating Orton for the IC Title.

R-TRUTH vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)-
Del Rio makes Truth tap clean in six minutes.

TENSAI vs. DANIEL BRYAN (w/AJ Bryan)-
Dragon makes Tensai tap clean in nine minutes with the Yes Lock.

CM Punk comes to the ring to explain why he attacked Sheamus:
PUNK: There has been a ton of speculation about why I attacked Sheamus on Smackdown. I’ve heard some ridiculously wild stuff. But, as it usually turns out to be, the simplest answer is the right one: I want the World Heavyweight Title.
I attacked Sheamus because I needed to get his attention and I was running out of time. Summer Slam is in less than two weeks, and Sheamus doesn’t have a challenger yet. August 18, 2013 is a big day for everyone in the WWE, but even more so for Sheamus and myself.
Sheamus has been the World Heavyweight Champion for sixteen and a half months now, and I have no problem admitting that his reign has been nothing short of epic. He has beaten John Cena and the Big Show and Ryback. He’s beaten the current WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and the current #1 contender to the WWE Title, Alberto Del Rio. He’s beaten John Cena, Randy Orton, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, … he’s beaten legends like Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio Jr. At least year’s Summer Slam, he even beat Kane… but do you know who he hasn’t beaten?
Me. CM Punk. The Best in the World.
People have been calling Sheamus’ title reign “the greatest world title reign of the modern era.” Well those people seem to have completely forgotten that going into Wrestlemania XXIX, I held the WWE Title for 504 days… and during that title reign, I beat John Cena. I beat Randy Orton. I beat Daniel Bryan and Alberto Del Rio and the Big Show and Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger. I beat Chris Jericho… and while I didn’t beat Rey Mysterio, I’m pretty sure I’ve got one up on Sheamus, because unlike him, I beat THE ROCK.
Now it just so happens that Summer Slam will be the 504th day of Sheamus’ title reign. If he makes it out of Summer Slam with the World Heavyweight Title, he will surpass my reign as the longest in the modern era… and I don’t intend to let that happen. If Sheamus wants to break my record-setting world title reign, then he’s going to have to beat me to do it.

During the entrances for the main event, Michael Cole informs us of a developing situation in the back and we cut to that:
A very angry Sheamus has barged into Steph’s office and demanded that Steph give Punk a World Heavyweight Title shot at Summer Slam so Sheamus can teach him a lesson. Steph says okay.

JOHN CENA vs. WADE BARRETT- Cena wins clean in fourteen minutes. After the match Mark Henry comes out to the ring to attack Cena. Despite just having gone through a grueling match, Cena does not back down. Henry beats Cena up pretty badly and finishes it off by giving him a World’s Strongest Slam through the Spanish announce table.

There is lots of news coming out of last night’s Raw:
We have two new title matches signed for Summer Slam: An Intercontinental Title match between Seth Rollins and Randy Orton, and a blockbuster World Heavyweight Title match between Shemaus and CM Punk!

Also coming out of Raw is some unfortunate injury-related news. John Cena will be out of action for a week after put through an announcer’s table by Mark Henry, and International Airstrike 2.0 will be out of action for a few weeks following a brutal and unprovoked assault with steel chairs by the Colons.

WWE Main Event: (8/7/2013)
-
TENSAI vs. EVAN BOURNE-
Bourne wins clean in twelve. Beating the much larger Tensai is treated like a very big deal for Bourne.

ROMAN REIGNS vs. TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya Neidhart) vs. THE MIZ (w/Corey Graves) vs. ANTONIO CESARO (w/Aksana)-
Cesaro wins clean, pinning Reigns in six minutes.

RANDY ORTON & BO DALLAS vs. SETH ROLLINS & DANIEL BRYAN (w/AJ Bryan)-
Dragon & Rollins win clean in twenty when Dragon makes Bo tap.

Just an hour before Smackdown airs, WWE.com reports that Christian has told them that he is still too injured to wrestle tonight, so his match with Seth Rollins has been cancelled.

Smackdown: (8/9/2013) Rockford, IL
Rollins tells everyone that his match with Christian has been cancelled because Christian is still injured. He says that although this one door has closed, it has given him the opportunity to open another door. He says that there is someone he has been wanting to call out for a few days now: Rob Van Dam.
RVD comes out and Rollins says that he isn’t happy that RVD seems to think it is a foregone conclusion that Orton will beat him at Summer Slam. RVD tries to apologize but Rollins says that maybe Orton is right and RVD really doesn’t understand the level of competition in WWE nowadays, and how good Rollins needs to be to be the IC Champ. RVD says Rollins should show him firsthand. Steph comes out and makes this the main event.

Renee Young asks AJ for some thoughts on tonight’s Divas Title match. AJ says it doesn’t matter who wins because at Summer Slam, no one will stop her from achieving her dream of being the WWE Divas Champion and no one will stop her and Dragon from achieving their dream of being champions together. Dragon says he will beat Del Rio at Summer Slam and drives home the same point.

ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Roriguez) vs. RANDY ORTON (w/Bo Dallas)-
Del Rio makes Randy tap clean in fifteen minutes.

Cody cuts a promo pointing out that Cesaro cheated to beat him on Smackdown two weeks ago, so turnabout is fair play. Cody then challenges Cesaro to a match at Summer Slam.

Sheamus comes out to the ring to respond to CM Punk. He says “I’ve been known to tell a good story or two, but when it comes down to it, I’m a man of action, not a man of words, so I’ll keep this short so I can get to my match with The Miz. You wanted my attention, Punk? You got it. You wanted a shot at the World Heavyweight Title? You got it. But like you said yourself, my title reign has been epic. You listed off the people I’ve beaten over the past sixteen months. I’m on what might well be the greatest hot streak in WWE history. I’m not just going to beat your record, Punk; I’m going to obliterate it. Just at Summer Slam, I’m not just going to beat you; I’m going to obliterate you.

SHEAMUS vs. THE MIZ (w/Corey Grave)-
Sheamus basically squashes The Miz in four minutes.

Ryback cuts a promo saying that he convinced Steph to make Kane’s suspension only last until Summer Slam and to book Kane vs. Ryback for Summer Slam. Ryback says that he can think of no better punishment for Kane to than to prove his claim at being unstoppable wrong.

EVAN BOURNE vs. ANTONIO CESARO (w/Aksana)-
Bourne wins clean in twelve minutes. After the match we get a reaction interview with Bourne, during which Jack Swagger comes up to Bourne and congratulates him on his win.

The Colons cut a promo saying that they attacked International Airstrike because International Airstrike leapfrogged them. They say that they deserve their rematch before any other team gets a shot at the WWE World Tag Team Titles.

WWE DIVAS TITLE MATCH: Tamina(c) def. Nikki Bella (w/Brie Bella)-
Tamina wins clean in five minutes.
Dragon is on guest commentary for this match. He both talks up his match with Del Rio and he yells at Tamina for abandoning AJ in the tag match last week.

Mark Henry cuts a backstage promo saying that Cena is out tonight because he was too stupid to know that he should be afraid of Mark Henry. Everyone should be afraid of Mark Henry. And he will drive that point home at Summer Slam when he dismantles John Cena.

SETH ROLLINS vs. ROB VAN DAM-
Orton comes out to do commentary. RVD and Rollins work a match and forth match. RVD seems to really be trying to show that he can do anything Rollins can. The finish comes when Rollins is out of the ring, near the announce table, and RVD hits the standing Rollins with a Five Star Frog Splash through the table (think how Tanahashi does his splash. It will work) and they both wind up getting counted out.

WWE.com has heard rumors that Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley has been talking to Dean Ambrose about returning to in-ring action. Ambrose has spent most of the past few months at home dealing with personal issues related to his in-ring behavior. Whether or not his state of mind will allow him to return remains to be seen.

A few tag team matches have been signed for Raw tonight: In Divas action, Alicia Fox will return to action after missing a few weeks with a rib injury. Alicia will team up with the Divas Champion, Tamina Snuka, to face #1 contender to the Divas Title, AJ Bryan, and the woman who injured Alicia a few weeks ago, AJ’s best friend Kaitlyn.
The second tag match is a big six man elimination tag team match that will feature Evan Bourne, The Great Khali, and Tyson Kidd taking on Damien Sandow, Mark Henry, and The Miz. The third tag team match signed for tonight’s Raw will be a WWE World Tag Team Title match in which the Colons will receive their contractually obligated rematch against the Prime Time Players.

In injury news, Natalya Neidhart has, unfortunately, suffered a leg injury during a match at a WWE live event over the weekend and will be out of action for a few weeks. Dolph Ziggler is said to be healing up well, and could return to action before the end of the week. Christian has reported that he is fully healed, and will return to action tonight on Raw against CM Punk!

Half an hour before Raw, Christian sends out a Tweet saying that he is too injured to work tonight.

Raw: (8/12/2013) Sacramento, CA
Punk opens the show and says that, since Christian isn’t wrestling tonight, he wants to face someone else who Sheamus has beaten but who Punk never got the chance to beat during his title reign. He calls out Wade Barrett and we get…
CM PUNK vs. WADE BARRETT-
Punk wins clean in twelve minutes after he ducks a spinning backfist and then hits Barrett with a GTS.

Randy Orton cuts a promo responding to RVD’s comments from last week’s Raw. Orton points out that when he beat RVD for the IC Title, he was young… but RVD was in his prime. Now that Randy is in his prime and RVD is old, there is no way that RVD will be able to beat him.

TAMINA SNUKA & ALICIA FOX vs. AJ BRYAN & KAITLYN (w/Daniel Bryan)-
AJ rolls Tamina up for the win.

Steph announces that Summer Slam will feature a match between two talents making their returns to WWE TV: Dolph Ziggler, who has been out a few weeks after being chokeslammed onto concrete by Kane… and Dean Ambrose, who has been taking personal time off since Judgment Day

ELIMINATION TAG TEAM MATCH: Tyson Kidd, Evan Bourne, & The Great Khali vs. Mark Henry, The Miz, & Damien Sandow (w/Corey Graves & Naomi)-
Henry takes out Khali early on in the match. Bourne and Kidd do their best to fight back but Sandow pins Kidd a few minutes later. Evan Bourne fights back valiantly and when Miz gets showy and goes for a Superplex, Bourne manages to shove him off the top rope, then hit him with a Shooting Star Press and get the pins. The other two heels are much more careful with him, but manages to catch Sandow with a roll-up before getting squashed by Henry.

AJ & Dragon cut a backstage promo about how much it will mean to them to be champions together. They had their chances to do it at Hell in a Cell and at TLC and those didn’t work out… but the third time’s the charm.

WWE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Prime Time Players(c) vs. The Colons (w/Rosa Mendes)-
The Colons use distractions by Rosa to gain the advantage and seem to have the match won but International Airstrike come out and assault them.

John Cena cuts a promo saying that he’s not scared of Mark Henry. He will meet Henry with a full head of steam at Summer Slam.

CODY RHODES vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)-
After a ref bump, Cesaro comes out and grabs Cody’s MITB briefcase and nails Cody with it. This gives Del Rio the advantage, and he uses it to go after Cody’s arm, eventually making him tap. Cesaro grabs a mic and tells Cody to consider his challenge for Summer Slam
Throughout the night, we get a bunch of backstage segments with people telling Ryback that he doesn’t know what he is getting into when he is facing crazy Kane. Ryback says he doesn’t care.

.
JACK SWAGGER vs. R-TRUTH-
Swagger makes Truth tap clean.

Renee Young asks Steph if she thinks Ambrose is ready to come back yet. Steph says she does, and anyone who doesn’t believe her can watch the interview Michael Cole will conduct with Ambrose, live via satellite on Smackdown. Rollins comes up to Steph and asks to talk with her in her office.

ROB VAN DAM vs. SHEAMUS-
Sheamus wins clean.

WWE Main Event: (8/14/2013)-

THE USOS vs. THE COLONS (w/Rosa Mendes)-
The Colons win clean in eight minutes.
After the match, they demand that Steph come out and tell them when they are going to get a title shot to make up for the one that International Airstrike interfered in. PTP come out and point out that the Colons did the same thing to International Airstrike and say that the Colons never would have been in a position where they were close to winning the titles if Rosa hadn’t kept interfering. Steph comes out and says that because International Airstrike aren’t medically cleared to compete yet, she will give the Colons a tag team title match at Summer Slam. The Colons want some assurance that International Airstrike won’t show up and attack them like they did on Raw. Steph says that she will make the match a cage match… to prevent both International Airstrike and Rosa from interfering in the match.

ROB VAN DAM vs. BRODUS CLAY (w/Cameron)-
RVD wins clean in ten minutes

EVAN BOURNE & JACK SWAGGER vs. TYSON KIDD & R-TRUTH-
Swagger & Bourne win clean in twelve minutes when Bourne pins Truth.

Smackdown: (8/16/2013)- San Diego, CA
Tamina cuts a promo claiming that the only reason AJ pinned her on Raw is because she was distracted by Dragon and demands that he be barred from ringside for the Divas Title match at Summer Slam.

EVAN BOURNE vs. ROMAN REIGNS-
Bourne wins clean in six minutes. After the match, Jack Swagger comes out to congratulate Bourne on his win. He tells Bourne that he has been very impressed with him over the past month. Whether he won or lost, he always gave it his all. He says that it sucks that Bounre lost his US Title shot against Cesaro the night after Judgment Day because Cesaro cheated and Bourne never got a rematch, so Bourne went to Steph and asked her to correct this injustice by giving Bourne a US Title match at Summer Slam!

Cesaro cuts a backstage promo saying that he helped Del Rio beat Cody last week because Del Rio, not an American, knows the value of hard work, whereas Cody is a lazy American who wants to be just like his fat, lazy American father.

Ryback says he will beat Kane at Summer Slam and do it for Josh!

KAITLYN vs. PAIGE (w/Christian)-
Paige makes Kaitlyn tap clean. Christian’s arm is in a sling.

Dolph Ziggler cuts a promo saying that Summer Slam will be the start of him building himself back up and becoming a world champion.

Michael Cole interviews Dean Ambrose live via satellite. Ambrose says he feels better than he has felt in months and he can’t wait to return to a WWE ring!

Seth Rollins says that he is tired of everyone thinking that it is a foregone conclusion that he will lose the IC Title a Summer Slam. He is so confident that he will win that he even asked Steph to add RVD into the match, too! He says that he respects RVD a lot, and that in their match last week on SD with the inconclusive finish, RVD to proved to Rollins that he has what it takes to earn a shot at the IC Title… whether Randy Orton thinks so or not.

Punk and Sheamus have an in-ring confrontation. Sheamus says his title reign is better because he beat guys that Punk never did, such as Christian, Tyson Kidd, Rey Mysterio Jr., and R-Truth, while the only guy Punk beat that Sheamus didn’t was The Rock, who Punk didn’t beat cleanly and is the guy who eventually beat Punk. Punk says that his reign was better than Sheamus’ because while Sheamus almost always defended the belt in singles matches, Punk had to defend his title in multi-man matches, facing the likes of John Cena, Big Show, and Daniel Bryan at the same time, and in more grueling match types such as TLC, Elimination Chamber, and Street Fights.

THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS & DANIEL BRYAN (w/AJ Bryan) vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO & THE COLONS (w/Ricardo Rodriguez & Rosa Mendes)-
The heels work over Dragon’s arm all match. After a ref bump, they start to use chairs on Dragon’s arm. International Airstrike come out with chairs of their own to stop this and wind up laying out Primo, which leads to Primo being pinned by Titus.
The announcers put over both the damage to Dragon’s arm as a key to victory for Del Rio and the fact that PTP needed help from International Airstrike to beat the Colons tonight… and that is something that won’t be able to happen at Summer Slam because of the cage.

Just assume some other go-home show-ish stuff happens. Summer Slam is about to start and I am too lazy to think up a last angle for Cena vs. Henry.

He tells AJ that he believes in her and that she will win the Divas Title tonight, he will retain the WWE Title tonight, and they will achieve their dream of being champions together. It might be Summer Slam, but tonight they are going to have their Wrestlemania moment.

DEAN AMBROSE vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Vickie Guerrero)-

Re: BRM Books Raw 1,000 and beyond

Post by Big Red Machine » Oct 5th, '13, 20:13

WWE.com reports that John Cena will be out for 4-6 months due to injuries sustained in his match with Mark Henry.

WWE Officials are still trying to determine why Dean Ambrose did not show up as advertised for his PPV match at Summer Slam. While interviewing staff at the hotel Ambrose was staying at, WWE officials have learned that Ambrose did indeed leave to go the Staples Center, but soon returned, took all of his bags and checked out. WWE apologizes for not delivering the advertised match and will take steps to ensure that this does not happen in the future.

Matches announced for tonight’s Raw include Sheamus vs. The Great Khali, a 4-way Divas match featuring Tamina Snuka, Naomi, Natalya, and Paige, and a big tag team main event beating RVD & Cody Rhodes vs. Alberto Del Rio & Dolph Ziggler. In addition to this, GM of Raw and Smackdown Stephanie McMahon Helmsley has been hinting a major announcement regarding Night of Champions for tonight’s Raw, and WWE.com has heard rumors that multiple champions will be involved in matches tonight that could have a major effect on Night of Champions.
One champion who will not be in action tonight is Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins, who has asked for a personal day. Rollins will not be at tonight’s Raw, but will appear on all other WWE TV shows and live events as advertised starting Tuesday night.

Raw: (8/19/2013)- Anaheim, CA
Raw opens with a promo by Steph in which she takes care of a lot of different pieces of business. First she apologizes for the whole Ambrose mess, and announces that if Ambrose does not show up on Smackdown, he will be fired.
She announces that Night of Champions is coming up and every Championship in the WWE will be defended on that show… and that includes the NXT Title. She also announces that one lucky champion will be given the ability to pick his or her challenger… within reason, of course. The way this will be determined is that starting tonight, there will be a Beat The Clock Challenge with all of the champions, and the champion who wins in the quickest time will be given the opportunity to choose his or her challenger. Steph says that all of the champions’ opponents in the Beat The Clock Challenge will be picked at random… aside from one. She is very angry at the new WWE Champion, Christian, for lying about the severity of his arm injury to WWE management to avoid having to wrestle for a good chunk of the past month… and as a result she has hand-picked Christian’s opponent for tonight: THE BIG RED MONSTER, KANE!

BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE: NXT Champion Roman Reigns vs. Evan Bourne-
Reigns wins clean in 9:17

PTP cut a backstage promo saying that if they win the Beat The Clock Challenge, they will be choosing to face International Airstrike 2.0 because of how much they impressed them last month and because, as far as they are concerned, Airstrike deserve a title shot because the Colons ruined the one they had a few weeks ago on Raw.

FATAL 4 WAY MATCH: Paige vs. Tamina Snuka vs. Naomi (w/Damien Sandow) vs. Natalya (w/Tyson Kidd)-
Paige and Nattie both work over Tamina’s knees to weaken them up for their respective finishing submission holds. Naomi, being smart, sees that everyone else is going after Tamina’s knees and starts to go after them, too. Tamina fights back valiantly, but having three people all going after her knees is too much to overcome. The finish sees Naomi lock in a Figure Four, and while the ref is checking on Tamina, Sandow reaches into the ring to help her get extra leverage, and Tamina taps out. Tamina is noticeably injured and limps all the way to the back.

Mark Henry cuts a promo saying that at Summer Slam, he broke John Cena… and if you think that is impressive, just wait until you see what he does next.

LUKE HARPER vs. TED DIBIASE JR.-
Harper squashes Ted

Christian cuts a promo saying that it is BS that Steph is making him face Kane and accuses her of stacking the deck against him because she would rather have Daniel Bryan be WWE Champion because Dragon and AJ holding the titles at the same time would be a feel-good story that WWE could make tons of good press with. His evidence for this is to claim that he has not had the proper amount of spotlight focused on him since his title win last night when he “bravely and valiantly” fought through the pain in his arm to capture the WWE Title for the first time.

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH: Ryback vs. Wade Barrett vs. Corey Graves (w/The Miz)-
Barrett wins clean in nine minutes, pinning Graves after a Barrett Barrage.
Josh Matthews asks Sheamus how it feels to be the longest reigning world champion of the modern era. Sheamus says it feels great, but that the way he remained champion this long was just taking it one match at a time, and that is what he will continue to do.

SIN CARA vs. ANTONIO CESARO (w/Aksana)-
Cesaro wins clean in eight minutes

Renee Young reminds us that earlier tonight, PTP stated that if they won the Beat The Clock Challenge, they would give the title shot at Night of Champions to International Airstrike 2.0. She is now interviewing Jack Swagger and asks him who he would give the title shot to if he won the Beat The Clock Challenge. Before he can answer, Heath Slater shows up and acts very out of character, complementing Swagger on his nice shirt and asking him if he recently got a haircut, and asking how his kid is doing. Slater then leaves and Swagger and Renee give each other a puzzled expression. Swagger says that he doesn’t know who he would give the title shot to, but he would make sure it would be someone worthy.

SHEAMUS vs. THE GREAT KHALI-
Sheamus wins clean in nine minutes. The announces put over the fact that if Sheamus can beat a monster like The Great Khali in just nine minutes, then there is no telling how quickly he will be able to beat a smaller man. Does anyone else even stand a chance of winning the Beat The Clock Challenge?

Josh Matthews asks CM Punk for some comments following his loss to Sheamus at Summer Slam (and Sheamus’ breaking of his record for longest world title reign of the modern era, which happens tonight). Punk says that he has some things that he wants to say, but for his own reasons, he won’t say them just yet… though he promises that he will speak soon enough. For now, though, he is just going to focus on his wrestling, and he hypes up his match for Main Event against Jack Swagger.

BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE (time to beat is 9:17): WWE Champion Christian vs. Kane-
Christian tries various offensive strategies, but Kane dominates him with ease. At around the five minute mark, Christian gets frustrated and decides that possibly getting to pick his challenger at Night of Champions is not worth having to wrestle a dangerous, maniacal monster like Kane, so he grabs the WWE Title belt and heads up the ramp, content to take a countout. When he gets to the top of the ramp, though, Daniel Bryan charges out from backstage. Christian tries to reverse direction and run back down the ramp, but Dragon catches up to him and tackles him. Dragon begins raining strikes down on Christian... and the ref rings the bell, signaling that Christian has won the match by disqualification in just 5:32. Security eventually shows up and pries Dragon off of Christian.

Josh Matthews is interviewing Randy Orton. He says that Randy had been extremely critical of RVD’s physical conditioning going into Summer Slam. Now that he has faced RVD in the fast-paced, Triple Threat environment of their Intercontinental Title match at Summer Slam, has his opinion of Rob’s conditioning changed?
Orton says that his opinion of Rob’s conditioning has not changed at all. Not only did Rob not win the match, but he was pinned by the younger, faster, much better conditioned Seth Rollins. He can’t go at the level necessary to take on a top guy anymore.

ROB VAN DAM & CODY RHODES vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER & ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez & Vickie Guerrero)-
Ziggler pins RVD clean in twenty minutes

WWE.com has announced that now that we know NXT Champion Roman Reigns won’t be winning the Beat The Clock Challenge, Stephanie McMahon Helmsley has come up with an exciting way to determine who will challenge for the NXT Title at Night of Champions: a single elimination tournament featuring 16 of NXT’s best!

In other news, WWE has learned that Tamina will be out of action indefinitely with a knee injury sustained in last night’s match on Raw.

This week’s edition of Main Event will feature Naomi taking on Layla El, Jack Swagger facing CM Punk, and a Fatal 4 Way main event of Dolph Ziggler vs. Ryback vs. Tensai vs. Cody Rhodes.

Main Event: (8/21/2013)
Drew McIntyre & Michael McGillicutty vs. Evan Bourne & Zack Ryder
Drew pins Ryder at the eight minute mark after Drew & McGillictty’s tag team finisher

LAYLA EL vs. NAOMI (w/Damien Sandow)-
Naomi wins clean in five minutes.

JACK SWAGGER vs. CM PUNK-
They go for a few minutes before Mark Henry comes out and attacks both men, causing a double DQ. He starts to cut a promo but is interrupted by Punk recovering enough to attack him from behind. Henry manages to overcome Punk’s advantage of surprise and put him down with the World’s Strongest Slam. Henry then grabs a mic and resumes cutting his promo. He said that he told everyone to watch what he would do next… well the next thing he wants to do is beat The Great Khali… but he doesn’t just want to beat him. He wants to manhandle him like no one ever has before.

FATAL 4 WAY MATCH: Ryback vs. Tensai vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Dolph Ziggler (w/Vickie Guerrero)-
Ziggler wins clean in twenty minutes, pinning Cody.

NXT: (8/21/2013)
NXT Champion Roman Reigns is on commentary for all of tonight’s matches, doing scouting.

NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND MATCH: Xavier Woods vs. Rick Victor-
Woods wins clean in ten minutes

NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND MATCH: Leo Kruger vs. Scott Dawson (w/Sylvester Lefort)-
Kruger wins clean in eight minutes

Husky Harris and Bo Dallas are backstage, discussing the tournament. It turns out that they will be facing each other in the first round on next week’s show. Bo invites his cousin to come train with him and Randy Orton at the brand new, super-cool WWE Performance Center, but Husky says that he would rather train separately, and says that he will go back home to Texas to train.

NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND MATCH: Mike Dalton vs. Corey Graves (w/The Miz)-
Graves wins in ten minutes via a distraction by Miz allowing him to lock Dalton in Lucky Thirteen.

NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND MATCH: Sami Zayn vs. Erick Rowan-
Zayn manages to overcome Rowan’s huge size advantage and wins the match in fourteen minutes

WWE.com reports that International Airstrike will be cleared to return to in-ring action very soon. The Swagger vs. Punk match from Main Event that Mark Henry interrupted has been rescheduled for Smackdown. In other Smackdown news, The Great Khali has accepted Mark Henry’s challenge and a match has been signed for Smackdown. For Smackdown’s portion of the Beat The Clock Challenge, Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins and Divas Champion AJ Bryan will both have their chance to beat the clock.

BREAKING NEWS!
A blockbuster main event has been signed for Smackdown! It will be Champion vs. Champion when WWE Champion Christian takes on World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus!

Smackdown: (8/30/2013)- Bakersfield, CA

BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE (time to beat is 5:32): WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee (w/Daniel Bryan) vs. Naomi (w/Damien Sandow)-
Naomi wins in 4:59 when Paige and Christian come out and distract AJ, allowing Naomi to roll AJ up for the pin. Dragon and AJ chase Christian and Paige backstage. Christian and Paige run all the way to the parking, get into their car and leave.

LUKE HARPER vs. CAMACHO-
Harper squashes Camacho

Renee Young is backstage with Heath Slater (who is now wearing a Jack Swagger t-shirt). She asks him why he was so nice to Jack Swagger on Raw when he is normally very mean. Slater says that it is nothing and that he completely respects Swagger, and he definitely isn’t doing it just to suck up to Swagger in case Swagger wins the Beat The Clock Challenge and gets to pick his challenger for the US Title at Night of Champions… but if Jack Swagger did happen to win the Beat The Clock Challenge, then, in my humble opinion, Jack Swagger should pick me to face him at Night of Champions because I, too, am an all-American American.
We hear a growl of rage from off camera and Slater runs away in terror. Dragon and AJ appear, both looking extremely angry. Dragon snatches the mic out of Renee’s hands while AJ chases the camera guy away. AJ positions the camera and Dragon gets right up close to it and says “CHRISTIAN! PAIGE! You stole something that was very important to us. You stole the greatest moment of our lives from us! And for that, we will make every single moment of the rest of your lives a living hell!”

Sheamus comes out to the ring with a mic and starts to cut a promo. He says that on Raw, when Josh Matthews asked him about becoming the longest-reigning world champion of the modern era, he kind of brushed it off… but the truth is that it feels damn good. It feels so good, in fact, that he wants to add more gold around his waist, and says that the best way to do that will be to beat the WWE Champion in a non-title match. Unfortunately, though, Christian seems to have run away, so that match won’t be happening right now… but Sheamus does have a way to make it happen. He says that if he wins the Beat The Clock Challenge, he will not only choose to defend his World Heavyweight Title against Christian, but will challenge Christian to put his WWE Title on the line as well!

Josh Matthews is interviewing Steph. He asks her if she has a prediction for who will win the Beat The Clock Challenge. Steph stays neutral, but makes a comment saying that she would hate it if the winner wound up being someone who won his match by DQ rather than by really beating his opponent quickly.
Matthews then asks Steph is she would care to comment on Christian’s allegations from Raw that she has a bias against him. Steph says that it is absolutely not the case. If she was really out to get Christian, she wouldn’t have let him leave the arena before his match tonight without punishment, but she is willing to let it go this once.
Matthews then asks Steph if there has been any word about Dean Ambrose yet. Steph says no, then says to the camera “Mr. Ambrose, if you are out there listening, please just give me a call. And if, by some chance, you are able to get to this arena tonight, just go out to the ring and we’ll work this out. We would hate to lose such a great talent, but you need to work with us or we will have no other choice.

MARK HENRY vs. THE GREAT KHALI-
Henry wins clean in seven minutes

Josh Matthews is chasing down Seth Rollins for an interview. We catch Rollins on the phone, saying “You need to come and do this. I’m here for you. I’ll support you, but you can’t throw your dreams away like this.”
Josh asks Rollins who he was talking to, and he says “an old friend.” Josh asks Rollins if he thinks he has a chance of beating Christian’s time of 5:32. Rollins says it will be difficult, but he thinks he’ll be able to do it.

DREW MCINTYRE & MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY vs. R-TRUTH & BRODUS CLAY (w/Cameron)-
McGillicutty and McIntyre win clean in eight minutes

BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE (time to beat is 5:32): Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins vs. Evan Bourne-
Rollins fails to beat the clock, and the match is a draw.

Renee Young is trying to interview The Prime Time Players backstage when they are interrupted by Heath Slater, who is now wearing a PTP shirt and putting them over. They tell him to go away, so he does. They cut a short promo about how hard it will be to beat Christian’s time of 5:32. While they are talking, Ted Dibiase Jr. shows up and says “I know you guys said that if you won the Beat The Clock Challenge, you would give the title shot to International Airstrike, but what if I found a partner and then slipped you a couple extra millions o’dollas?” They shoo Dibiase off and reaffirm that they will choose International Airstrike if they win the Beat The Clock Challenge.

RANDY ORTON, BO DALLAS, CODY RHODES, ZACK RYDER, & SANTINO MARELLA vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER, THE COLONS, ALBERTO DEL RIO, & ANTONIO CESARO (w/Vickie Guerrero, Rosa Mendes, Ricardo Rodriguez, & Aksana)-
The heels win relatively cleanly in fifteen minutes when Ziggler pins Santino.

RVD cuts a backstage promo responding to Randy Orton’s comments from Raw. He says that he didn’t lose at Summer Slam because of poor conditioning. He lost because Seth Rollins was the better man that night. He also points out that for all of Orton’s accusations that he can’t hang with “top guys” like him anymore, it wasn’t Orton who beat him. It was Rollins… so he doesn’t think he’ll have any problem hanging in the ring with Orton.

CM PUNK vs. JACK SWAGGER-
Before the match Punk grabs a mic and says that he hasn’t forgotten what Mark Henry did on Main Event, so he is challenging Henry to a match next week on Raw.
Swagger makes Punk tap clean in twenty minutes
After the finish, Cole tells us that he has just received word that Dean Ambrose has pulled into the parking lot. They have to go to commercial now, but stay tuned to see what Steph will do to Ambrose!

When we come back from commercial, Steph is in the ring and Ambrose is making his way down the ramp. He gets into the ring and Steph starts to talk, but all of a sudden Ambrose grabs her mic and starts to have a breakdown.
“I’m sick! Sick in the head! Don’t you see?! And I knew it would happen, too! Before Wrestlemania I said that when you fight monsters, you need to be careful not to become one yourself. And I knew I would need to become a monster to beat him, but I thought I could control it. I thought that one knight of that ultra-violent hardcore carnage and mayhem would be enough and it would flush it all out of my system like some sort of cathartic moment of triumph and they I could be back to normal but I can’t go back to normal. I’ve become that which I most despised. I’m a monster now. I don’t want to be one, but I am. I really want to hurt people… but I don’t really want to hurt them. I try not to, but then I start doing it and I can’t stop myself, and I…
Ambrose kind of trails off into insane mumbles, he falls to his knees, starts to pull his hair out. He almost seems to be crying. Steph is standing there, shocked, totally unsure of what she should do.
Seth Rollins comes out to the ring and tries to talk to Ambrose. He kneels down next to him and says “Dean. It’s me. It’s Seth. Come on. Let’s get you out of here. We’ll get you help, and we’ll make sure you can live out your dreams, just like the rest of us. We’ll get you help.”
Ambrose looks up and mumbles “okay.” He gets up and walks slowly, pathetically, almost, up the ramp and backstage, Rollins following behind him with a friendly, supportive hand on his shoulder.

The announcers are completely shocked and have absolutely no idea how to react to this as they sign off.

NEWS- We have some matches announced for all over the WWE schedule this week. RVD will face Evan Bourne on Main Event and Jinder Mahal on Superstars. Dean Ambrose will make his return to action against Orton on Smackdown, and Mark Henry has accepted CM Punk’s challenge for a match tonight on Raw.
Tonight’s Raw will also feature the final three “Beat The Clock Challenge” matches, with Tag Team Champions the Prime Time Players, US Champion Jack Swagger, and World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus. By the end of the night, we will know which champion will get to pick his challenger at Night of Champions. The current time to beat is 5:32, set by WWE Champion Christian.
Speaking of Christian, he has asked for some time tonight to address the situation between himself and Paige and the Bryans.

Raw: (8/26/2013)- Phoenix, AZ

LUKE HARPER vs. TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya)-
Harper wins clean in seven minutes

Michael Cole informs us that RVD won’t be at Raw tonight because of travel issues.

We go backstage to Steph’s office, where she pulls a name out of a hat labeled “tag teams” to determine who will face the Prime Time Players in their Beat The Clock Challenge tonight. They will face Drew McIntyre & Michael McGillicutty.
Steph then moves over to a bag labeled “singles” and pulls out opponents for both Jack Swagger (The Miz) and for Sheamus (Kane). Before the segment ends, Seth Rollins knocks on the door.
Steph thanks Rollins for his help in dealing with Dean Ambrose. Rollins says that he has known Ambrose for so long and faced him so many times that he knows how he thinks. They have faced each other so many times that they have an odd sort of brotherhood, if not an actual unspoken friendship. Rollins says that Ambrose is currently in the WWE Performance Center, training with another man who Ambrose has an amazing amount of respect for, but an odd relationship with: Williams Regal. Rollins says that Regal’s technical mastery will help get Ambrose back on the right track in the ring. If he concentrates on his mat wrestling, he will be able to focus on a certain bodypart and won’t snap and start grabbing weapons.
This being said, Rollins says that he thinks focusing on something would really help Ambrose, so he asks Steph to set up an IC Title shot for Ambrose. She tells him that she won’t risk having Ambrose snap and ruin a PPV Title match, but she does want to do everything she can to help him, so she says she will take it under advisement.
Rollins also says that facing Randy Orton in his first match back is a very tall order, so he asks Steph if she can book some matches for Ambrose on Main Event and Superstars to help him prepare. She agrees and books him against Jinder Mahal on Main Event and The Miz on Superstars.

BRODUS CLAY (w/Cameron) vs.DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Vickie Guerrero)-
Ziggler puts Brodus to sleep with the Sleeper Hold in eight minutes.

Josh Matthews in interviewing Randy Orton. He asks Orton to comment on his match against Dean Ambrose on Smackdown. Orton makes a comment about no one being sure if Ambrose will even show up… and speaking of people who don’t show up… RVD’s comments from Smackdown sound a lot like a challenge… but, conveniently, RVD didn’t make it to tonight’s show because of “travel problems” and he got himself booked on Main Event so when he knows Orton will be at NXT supporting Bo in the NXT #1 contendership tournament, and against an undercard guy on Superstars so he can’t face Orton then. Maybe he is hoping Ambrose will take Orton out so he won’t have to put his money where his mouth is?

BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE (time to beat is 5:32): WWE Tag Team Champions the Prime Time Players vs. Drew McIntyre & Michael McGuillicutty-
The clock runs out with neither team having a decisive advantage.

We get a video package with John Cena explaining the injuries he sustained at the hands of Mark Henry at Summer Slam and telling us that the doctors say he will be out for the rest of the year. The announcers then hype up that this is the sort dangerous offense CM Punk will have to contend with tonight.

BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE (time to beat is 5:32): World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus vs. Kane-
They have a knock-down, drag-out big man showdown. Not much more that punches, forearms, kicks and clotheslines. Neither man leaves their feet more than once in the match. When the time runs out, they still want to fight, so massive amounts of security and backstage personnel come out to separate the two behemoths (which will hopefully cause some booing from the fans. Pipe it in, if necessary).

Renee Young is interviewing The Miz about his upcoming match with Dean Ambrose on Superstars. Miz says that he doesn’t want to get in the ring with a whacko like Ambrose. Christian comes up to him and offers to pay him $30,000 as incentive for him to last the time limit against Jack Swagger. Christian offers to pay a third of it now and the rest later. Miz accepts.

R-TRUTH, CODY RHODES, RYBACK, & EVAN BOURNE vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO, DAMIEN SANDOW, ROMAN REIGNS, & WADE BARRETT (w/Ricardo Rodriguez & Naomi)-
The heels win clean when Del Rio makes Truth tap

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 vs. LOS CONQUISTADORS-
Airstrike wins a squash
Christian comes out to the ring, surrounded by about twenty security guys. He asks Dragon to come out and speak to him “No women. You know how overly emotional they can get. Just you and me, man to man. I want to work this out."
Dragon comes out, but is very hesitant because of the security guards. Christian explains to him that they are his own personal security guards who he has hired because he afraid of Dragon now that he has seen what he can do when he is angry.
Christian says that he didn’t realize just how much having their moment together as champions meant to AJ and Dragon, and if he did, he never would have cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Dragon right then. He wants to put it all behind them, and as a show of good faith, he tells Dragon that if he wins the Beat The Clock Challenge (which it looks like he will), he will give Dragon the WWE Title shot at Night of Champions. The security guards part, and Christian offers a handshake. Dragon tentatively accepts it… but then the security guards jump in and beat him down.
Christian picks up the mic, and while his thugs beat Dragon down, he says that he doesn’t give a damn about what is important to Dragon or AJ. All he cares about is being the WWE Champion. He says that there is no way in hell he will give Dragon the WWE Title shot at Night of Champions after he wins the Beat The Clock Challenge.
AJ charges out with a steel chair and starts beating down Christian’s thugs, but Paige comes down the ramp and jumps AJ from behind, clipping her leg. Paige hits AJ in the leg with the chair while the security guys beat Dragon bloody. Christian and Paige then walk off, very pleased with themselves.

BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE (time to beat is 5:32): US Champion Jack Swagger vs. The Miz (w/Corey Graves)-
Swagger knows that he doesn’t have much time, so he goes for the Patriot Act right out of the gate and gets it, but Miz makes it to the rope. Most of the match consists of Swagger finding various ways to lock on the Patriot Act, but Miz managing to fight through the pain and make it to the rope (encouraged by Graves shouting “remember the money!” at him). With about thirty seconds left, Swagger has the hold locked in in the middle of the ring and Miz seems to be fading. Corey Graves climbs up onto the apron, distracting the ref. Seeing this, Swagger releases the hold and goes over to Graves and punches him off the apron. This brief distraction lets Miz sneak up behind Swagger and go for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Swagger sits down out of the full nelson, does a backwards roll and picks Miz’s ankle, locking the Patriot Act in once again. Miz taps out just before the clock reaches zero. Jack Swagger wins the Beat The Clock Challenge, and earns the right to pick his challenger at Night of Champions.

CM PUNK vs. MARK HENRY-
Henry wins clean in fifteen minutes

WWE.com reports that a HUGE match has been signed for Smackdown. WWE always strives to give the fans what they want, so when GM of both Raw and Smackdown Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley heard the reaction of the crowd as the Kane vs. Sheamus post-match fight was being broken up, she decided to sign a regular full-length match between these two giants for Smackdown!
A huge match has also been signed for Superstars, which will see CM Punk take on Alberto Del Rio!

Main Event: (8/28/2013)
R-TRUTH vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Vickie Guerrero) vs. THE MIZ (w/Corey Graves)-
Ziggler wins clean in ten minutes, pinning Miz.

JINDER MAHAL vs. DEAN AMBROSE (w/Seth Rollins)-
Whenever Ambrose seems to get frustrated, he rolls to the outside and talks with Rollins who helps him calm down and focus. Ambrose makes Jinder tap to the Regal Stretch in seven minutes

ROB VAN DAM vs. EVAN BOURNE-
RVD wins clean in fifteen minutes, but puts Bourne over on the mic as a great high-flyer

NXT: (8/28/2013)
Roman Reigns is doing commentary once again
The first match scheduled for tonight is Husky Harris vs. Bo Dallas, but Husky is nowhere to be found. The GM says he will give Husky until the end of the night to show up or he will be replaced.

NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND MATCH: Kassius Ohno vs. Connor O’Brian-
Ohno wins clean in twelve minutes, knocking O’Brian out with the Ohno Blade.

NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND MATCH: Alexander Rusev vs. CJ Parker-
Rusev wins clean in ten minutes
NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND MATCH: Big E. Langston vs. Colin Cassidy (w/Enzo Amore)-
Big E. wins clean in twelve minutes

Husky Harris is still nowhere to be found, so the GM says that he has no choice but to replace Husky in the tournament with Aiden English. On commentary, Roman Reigns makes a crack about Husky “pulling an Ambrose.”
NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND MATCH: Aiden English vs. Bo Dallas (w/Randy Orton)-
Bo is obviously concerned about his missing cousin, and English dominates the early part of the match. Bo rolls out of the ring and Randy gives him a pep talk, and Bo starts to do better, eventually winning the match with a spear in nine minutes.

WWE Superstars: (8/29/2013)
DEAN AMBROSE (w/Seth Rollins) vs. THE MIZ (w/Corey Graves)-
Ambrose starts to get frustrated when Miz avoids his moves early on, but Rollins calms him down and advises him to work over Miz’s neck. Ambrose focuses in on the neck and gets Miz to tap out to the Regal Stretch in six minutes.

ROB VAN DAM vs. JINDER MAHAL-
RVD wins clean in six minutes.

SANTINO MARELLA vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Vickie Guerrero)-
Ziggler wins clean in four minutes

CM PUNK vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)-
Del Rio wins clean in twenty minutes, making Punk tap out.

Tonight’s Smackdown will be absolutely stacked! Dean Ambrose will face a major challenge in his first match back on Smackdown in the form of “The Viper” Randy Orton, Luke Harper will face Brodus Clay, and the show will open with a big six man tag team match pitting Ryback and the Usos against Dolph Ziggler, Tensai, and NXT Champion Roman Reigns. In addition to this a big title match has been signed: Last week on Smackdown Naomi scored a pinfall on Divas Champion AJ Bryan in the Beat The Clock Challenge, and tonight on Smackdown, she will have her opportunity to challenge AJ for the Divas Title.
AJ has a big night ahead of her as not only will she be defending the Divas Title, but while her husband Daniel Bryan will be at home this week, recovering from the brutal attack by Christian’s hired thugs, AJ has asked for some mic time to address Christian and Paige.
Another superstar who has asked for some mic time tonight is Rob Van Dam. How will he respond to Randy Orton’s comments from Raw?
And then there is the main event. You demanded it, so you’ve got it! A rematch from the hard-hitting clash of the titans on Monday Night Raw: World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus vs. The Big Red Monster Kane!
And as if all of this wasn’t enough, GM of both Raw and Smackdown Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley will also be making a major announcement about a special match at Night of Champions. This is one episode of Smackdown that you don’t want to miss!

Smackdown: (8/30/2013)- Las Vegas, NV
RYBACK & THE USOS vs. TENSAI, ROMAN REIGNS & DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Vickie Guerrero) –
The heels win clean when Ziggler pins an Uso.

We cut backstage to Steph’s office, where she has a giant hopper with little balls in it (like they use to give people numbers in the Royal Rumble. Steph says that while there is no “Raw Roulette” this time around, she did want to capture some of that Vegas spirit and bring it to the other places that WWE travels, so she has come up with the Lucky 6 Challenge: Tonight she will randomly pick the names of twelve WWE superstars who are not currently champions. For the next two weeks on Raw, Smackdown, and Main Event, we will see two of those superstars face off in a randomly determined qualifying match, with the winners facing off at Night of Champions in a six-way match to determine who will be the #1 contender for the WWE Title on Raw after Night of Champions!
The twelve superstars turn out to be: Alberto Del Rio, Antonio Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow, CM Punk, Brodus Clay, Evan Bourne, Cody Rhodes, Kane, R-Truth, & Tensai

LUKE HARPER vs. BRODUS CLAY (w/Cameron)-
Harper wins clean in eight minutes with a running big boot

Renee Young asks Christian for some thoughts about the Lucky 6 Challenge. Christian says that he thinks that it is BS that he is being made to defend his WWE Title at Night of Champions… and he is confident that he will win at Night of Champions, no matter who he faces, and then the next night on Raw as well. He says it is evidence that Steph is out to get him. Renee tries to call him out on the flimsiness of his claim, but Christian says that he has more important things to deal with right now.

After a commercial break, Christian comes out to the ring and calls out The Miz. Christian demands that Miz return the money he used to give him incentive not to tap out on Raw. Miz comes out and says that the money is his. He did his best not to tap out. Christian says this is BS. He challenges Miz to a match for the money, but Miz says he will only put the money on the line if Christian puts the WWE Title on the line. Christian says he will only do it if Corey Graves is barred from ringside. Miz, wanting the chance to be WWE Champion again, accepts the challenge.

WWE TITLE MATCH: Christian(c) vs. The Miz-
A few minutes into the match, Paige comes out, which distracts Miz, allowing Christian to hit him with a Spear and pick up the win in just a few minutes. Christian and Paige celebrate in the ring while Miz storms off angrily. Josh Matthews tries to get a reaction interview with Miz, but Miz blows him off. In the background, we see Randy Orton laughing at Miz. Miz glares at him, then walks away.

Josh Matthews asks Naomi for some comments about her upcoming Divas Title match. Naomi says that she and Sandow, have worked out and undefeatable strategy, and it is just a matter of time before the belt is hers!

AJ BRYAN IN-RING PROMO- AJ comes out to the ring and cuts a passionate, angry promo. She says that she and Dragon are more than tired of Christian and Paige’s bullsh*t. She reminds us that Dragon still has his contractually obligated rematch, and when he uses it, he will take the WWE Title back from Christian and they will achieve their dream of being champions together. Last week they had vowed to make Christian and Paige’s life a living hell for stealing their moment from them, but that’s not the goal anymore. Starting on Raw, when Dragon returns, they are going to put Christian and Paige through so much that hell will seem like a nicer alternative.
Christian and Paige come out to the ramp and say that they have kicked AJ and Dragon’s asses at every turn, and there is no reason that will change now. They trade some more barbs back and forth with things getting extremely heated, and before you know it, AJ and Paige and both scrambling to grab weapons and then charging towards each other.
They have a quick, intense swordfight with their weapons, with no one landing any shots, which is broken up when Steph comes out with a million security guys, who tackle both women and restrain them. She yells at them to not only keep AJ and Paige apart, but to remove them from the arena and drive them the airport… make that separate airports, she doesn’t want them to fight in the airport, either, and send them both home. She also suspends them from this weekend’s live events. Christian tries to protest Paige’s innocence, but Steph starts yelling at him, too.
She tells Christian that she is sick and tired of his crap. First he was lying about the severity of his arm injury, then he lies to her about his personal security from Raw, which she only let him have after he swore to her that they wouldn’t touch Dragon unless Dragon touched them or Christian first… then he engages in shady dealings with The Miz… and now earlier tonight he claimed that she is biased against him just because she is ensuring that the WWE Champion will actually have to defend the title. She says that she isn’t biased against him, but he is giving her a lot of reason to be… so she signs a match for Raw: Christian vs. Daniel Bryan… for the WWE Title!

Josh Matthews reminds us that by winning the Beat The Clock Challenge, Jack Swagger earned the right to hand-pick his challenger for the US Title at Night of Champions. He asks Swagger who he will chose. Swagger says he will do some scouting so that he can pick someone who truly embodies the traits that America holds dear, and thus would make a worthy US Champion.

RANDY ORTON (w/Bo Dallas) vs. DEAN AMBROSE (w/Seth Rollins)-
Orton spends most of the match taunting Ambrose and daring him to go use a weapon, trying to make Ambrose snap and so he can get the DQ win. Whenever Ambrose gets frustrated and goes to the outside, Rollins manages to calm him down. One time, though, Orton hits Rollins with a baseball slide before taunting Ambrose. With no Rollins to calm him down, Ambrose goes and grabs a chair. Orton tries to goad Ambrose into hitting him with the chair, but Rollins gets into the ring and takes the chair away from him. This distraction allows Orton to hit an RKO and get the pin, smiling smugly at Rollins the whole time. Rollins glares back at Orton angrily.

RVD cuts a promo on Orton. He says he is sick and tired of Randy’s crap. First Randy is saying that RVD isn’t well-conditioned enough to go against top guys, and while that is disrespectful BS, RVD is a chill due so he can let it slide… but now that he is calling him a coward, RVD can’t let that slide. He challenges Orton to match on Raw.
We get a backstage segment with PTP talking to Steph about getting International Airstrike another title shot at Night of Champions. Steph makes it official. Naomi bursts into the office and complains to Steph about her Divas Title match being cancelled due to AJ being sent home. Steph promises that she will get her title shot soon.

CM Punk calls Sheamus out to the ring. He says that he didn’t want to say this until the Beat The Clock Challenge was over so it didn’t seem like he was pandering to Sheamus to try to get another title match. He puts Sheamus over big time as a tough guy and as a champion, and officially congratulates Sheamus on breaking his record for the longest title reign of the modern era. He ends by telling Sheamus that this doesn’t mean that he isn’t going to come for that title again. Punk still believes himself to be the Best in the World, and he is now going to begin a quest to prove it.

KANE vs. SHEAMUS-
The go for about seven minutes of hard-hitting big-man action. Just like their match from Raw, but they get to do more stuff, and both wind up getting knocked down at times. The match ends in a DQ after nine minutes when Mark Henry runs in and attacks Sheamus, ramming his back into the ringpost multiple times.

Randy Orton puts out a Tout saying, “Be careful what you wish for, Rob, because you just might get it.”

WWE.com reports that Sheamus will be out of action for at least a week as a result of the injuries he sustained in the attack by Mark Henry on Smackdown. He hopes to be back in the ring in time for Night of Champions, but WWE doctors are still being cautious in their estimates at this time.

Raw is shaping up to be a big show, as not only will Christian defend the WWE Title against Daniel Bryan, but GM of Raw and Smackdown Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley has just signed another big match: Rob Van Dam vs. Randy Orton. Randy Orton has been stirring up trouble with his comments about RVD, and after facing off in some tag matches and a Triple Threat match with Seth Rollins at Summer Slam, Van Dam and Orton will finally go one-on-one tonight on Raw!

Raw: (9/2/2013)- Des Moines, IA

CM PUNK vs. KANE-
Kane wins clean in fifteen minutes

LUKE HARPER vs. CODY RHODES-
Harper wins clean in eight minutes

Backstage, Josh Matthews is interviewing Randy Orton. Orton starts to say that he will expose RVD’s poor conditioning tonight, but he is soon confronted by Seth Rollins who tells him that trying to get Ambrose to use weapons in their match on Friday was very detrimental Ambrose’s recovery and that Orton’s actions were not cool.
After Rollins leaves, Orton is confronted by Miz, who demands an apology for Orton laughing at him last week. Orton responds “Or what? You’ll hurt me? You, the punk who couldn’t even last a few minutes with an NXT guy at Summer Slam? You’ve got a match with another NXT guy tonight, and I doubt you’ll last five minutes in that match, either”

ROMAN REIGNS vs. ZACK RYDER vs. DARREN YOUNG (w/Titus O’Neil) vs. ANTONIO CESARO (w/Aksana)-
Cesaro wins clean in seven minutes, pinning Ryder. Jack Swagger is on commentary, scouting out a possible US Title challenger for Night of Champions.

SAMI ZAYN vs. THE MIZ (w/Corey Graves)-
Zayn pins Miz in three minutes via roll-up. Miz storms backstage to once again find Orton laughing at him. Miz charges at Orton, but Orton sidesteps him and Miz runs right into a wall. Graves then charges at Orton who sidesteps this attack as well, sending Graves bumping right into Miz. Orton walks off, while everyone backstage laughs at Miz and Graves.

Dolph Ziggler cuts a backstage promo saying that it is ridiculous that CM Punk is still calling himself the “Best in the World” when he hasn’t won a match in three weeks. You know who has won every match he has had for a month? ME! Dolph Ziggler! It seems to me that I’m the “Best in the World.”

R-TRUTH vs. DEAN AMBROSE (w/Seth Rollins)-
Ambrose wins clean via Regal Stretch in six minutes. Rollins helps him focus, and once he focuses, he is absolutely deadly, going after Truth’s neck all match, then making him tap.

ROB VAN DAM vs. RANDY ORTON (w/Bo Dallas)-
Before the match, Bo gets on the mic and makes an appeal to anyone who has any knowledge of the whereabouts of his cousin, Husky Harris, to please contact WWE immediately.
Orton works over RVD’s mid-section, hitting him with gutbusters and trying to take the wind out of him. The finish comes when they are brawling near the top of the ramp and RVD puts Orton down with a big kick, but cannot make it back to the ring before the ten count (due to Orton working over his midsection), resulting in a double count-out. RVD is very disappointed by this result and sulks off backstage. As Orton gets up, Miz tries to jump him from behind, but Orton sees it coming, ducks Miz’s clothesline, and gives him an RKO on the ramp.

Mark Henry cuts a promo saying that he promised that big things would happen next for him, and he has delivered. He now says that the next thing that should happen is that he should be awarded the World Heavyweight Title because he has taken out the company’s top guy, John Cena, and he has taken out the new top guy, the World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus. Steph comes out and tells Mark that if he wants to be the top guy and the World Heavyweight Champion, he needs to earn it. She says that Sheamus might be out for the time being, but WWE doctors are certain that he will be back in time for Night of Champions… so she talked to Sheamus and he wants to get his hands on Mark, so she has signed Mark Henry vs. Sheamus at Night of Champions for the World Heavyweight Title!

AJ & Dragon are cutting a promo about tonight’s WWE Title match but are interrupted by Naomi & Sandow, who demand to know when Naomi will be getting her shot at the Divas Title.

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 vs. THE COLONS (w/Rosa Mendes)-
Airstrike win clean in eight minutes

LUCKY 6 QUALIFYING MATCH: Brodus Clay (w/Cameron) vs. Tyson Kidd (w/Natalya)-
Brodus wins clean in nine minutes.

Drew McIntyre & Michael McGillicutty cut a promo saying it is ridiculous that International Airstrike are just being given a title shot when they just went to a draw with the champions last week.

WWE TITLE MATCH: Christian(c) (w/Paige) vs. Daniel Bryan (w/AJ Bryan)-
The finish comes when about fifteen minutes in, Dragon locks Christian in the Yes Lock. On the outside, Paige grabs AJ from behind and rams her head into the ring post. Dragon sees this and releases the hold and goes to the outside to protect AJ. After he makes sure that AJ is okay, he starts chasing Paige around the ring a few times until, as he rounds the corner near the timekeeper’s table, he is met with a Spear by Christian. With Dragon down on the outside, AJ attacks Paige, but Paige uses AJ’s rage against her and gets the advantage, smacking AJ’s head into the ringsteps. She rolls AJ into the ring. The referee yells at her for this, so Paige hops up onto the apron to argue with him. Because he is focused on Paige, the referee doesn’t realize that Christian is crouched in the corner, waiting for AJ to get up so he can hit her with a Spear. Dragon, just getting up on the outside, sees this, and adrenaline helps him spring into action.
He grabs the timekeeper’s chair and charges into the ring with it. He swings the chair at Christian who manages to avoid it while backpedalling, but trips himself up on falls down on his butt in the middle of the ring. Dragon is standing above him, ready to smash him with the chair… but the ref grabs Dragon’s arm and tells him not to. Dragon shoves the referee. All he cares about his trying to kill the bastard who was going to hit his wife with a Spear… but that one moment of distraction by the ref is all Christian needed to roll out of the ring. The ref orders the timekeeper to ring the bell, disqualifying Dragon for abusing an official. Christian and Paige run to the back, and Dragon and AJ give chase, but with AJ’s head injuries and Dragon’s bruised ribs from Christian’s Spear, the heels are too fast for them to catch, and they escape into their car and drive away.

Main Event: (9/4/2013)
PRIMO (w/Rosa Mendes & Epico) vs. DEAN AMBROSE (w/Seth Rollins)-
Ambrose wins clean in eight making Primo tap out to the Regal Stretch. Rollins functions as a calming influence for Ambrose, helping him to focus.

SETH ROLLINS vs. TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya Neidhart)-
Rollins does not seem as prepared for his match as he normally is, and winds up getting rolled up in just six minutes

LUCKY 6 QUALIFYING MATCH: Evan Bourne vs. Antonio Cesaro (w/Aksana)-
Bourne wins clean in twelve minutes

NXT: (9/4/2013)
Roman Reigns is on commentary all night
NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT SECOND ROUND MATCH: Big E. Langston vs. Alexander Rusev-
Big E. wins clean in ten minutes

We get a backstage segment with Bo telling Randy that he is concerned that no one has been able to get into contact with his cousin Husky Harris. Randy tells Bo that he can’t let it distract him out there tonight because all it takes is one split second of distraction and Ohno can catch him with an Ohno Blade and knock him out.

NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT SECOND ROUND MATCH: Xavier Woods vs. Corey Graves (w/The Miz)-
Graves wins in eight minutes after some sort of dirty finish involving The Miz
Orton comes out and says that any of these NXT guys could easily beat Miz in just a few minutes. An angry Miz challenges Orton to a match this Friday night on Smackdown.

NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT SECOND ROUND MATCH: Kassius Ohno vs. Bo Dallas (w/Randy Orton)-
Before the match, Bo gets on the mic and makes an appeal to anyone who has any knowledge of the whereabouts of his cousin, Husky Harris, to please contact WWE immediately. Throughout the match, Bo seems a bit distracted by Husky’s disappearance, but Orton tries to help him ignore it. All it takes is just a little bit of distraction, though, for Ohno to hit the Ohno Blade for the KO win at the eleven minute mark.

NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT SECOND ROUND MATCH: Sami Zayn vs. Leo Kruger-
Sami wins clean in fifteen minutes

WWE.com reports that Naomi, The Bellas, Kaitlyn, and Layla will all not be at Smackdown because they are doing some women’s charity thing.
Matches signed for tonight’s Smackdown include Tyson Kidd vs. Wade Barrett, Randy Orton vs. The Miz, CM Punk vs. Damien Sandow in a Lucky 6 Qualifying match, and a six man tag team main event pitting Mark Henry and the Colons against Daniel Bryan, Rob Van Dam, & Brodus Clay.

Smackdown
: (9/6/2013)- Minneapolis, MN
Renee Young asks CM Punk for a response to Dolph Ziggler’s comments from Raw. Punk says that he is going to prove that he is the best in the world by beating Damien Sandow tonight, then winning the Lucky 6 Challenge at Night of Champions, and then winning the WWE Title the next night on Raw, and if Dolph Ziggler still doesn’t think that he is the Best in the World after that, Punk will be happy to meet Dolph in the ring and prove it to him.

RANDY ORTON (w/Bo Dallas) vs. THE MIZ (w/Corey Graves)-
Before the match, Bo gets on the mic and makes an appeal to anyone who has any knowledge of the whereabouts of his cousin, Husky Harris, to please contact WWE immediately. Orton wins clean in under five minutes, and a frustrated Miz storms off to the back. Orton grabs a mic and says that if Miz is going to keep losing so pitifully, he doesn’t even belong in WWE. He tells Miz to come back when he can actually last five minutes with someone, even if it is some NXT chump.

Daniel and AJ Bryan storm out to the ring. Dragon cuts a promo saying that he will make Christian suffer for trying to attack AJ on Raw. Christian and Paige pop up on the TitanTron (they are somewhere in the building). Christian tells Dragon that it doesn’t matter what he does to him. He will still be happy as long as he is the WWE Champion… and a loser like Daniel Bryan could never take the WWE Title from him. Dragon says that if Christian is so confident that he can beat him, he should put the title on the line and fight fairly, rather than resorting to attacking women to get an advantage. Christian responds by saying that he has already beaten Dragon twice, so there is no reason for him to give Dragon another title shot. There is nothing in it for him and Paige. AJ offers to put her Divas Title on the line, too, Dragon tries to talk her out of it, telling her that she doesn’t need to risk something so important to her, by AJ tells him that marriage means that they are 100% committed to each other. If Dragon doesn’t have any chips to put on the line, AJ is more than happy to lend him some of her's. Christian and Paige accept the offer. Steph comes out and says she likes the idea, but decides to add a little twist to it. Rather than two separate matches, the main event of Night of Champions will be a Mixed Tag Team Match with both titles on the line!

LUKE HARPER vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)-
Harper wins clean in fourteen minutes
International Airstrike 2.0 come out to the ring and call out McIntyre & McGillicutty. They have the production guys play footage of all of their wins last month that earned them the WWE World Tag Team Title match they had on the August 5th Raw, then show footage of the Colons attacking both them and PTP, causing a DQ. They say that they weren’t handed anything. The title match they are getting at Night of Champions is them finally getting a good clean shot that they earned.
Drew says that he and McGillicutty deserve a title shot because they took on the champs and went to time, and if Airstrike were really honorable men, they would step aside and let him and McGillicutty have their title shot first. PTP come out and point out that this is ridiculous, but they offer to try to get McGillicutty and McIntyre into the title match, too, because they are confident that they can beat two teams. This upsets International Airstrike, who were ready to have regular old tag team match, not a three-way. Steph comes out says that she will decide who does and doesn’t get title shots. She will give McIntyre & McGillicutty a chance to earn their way into the title match at Night of Champions… but she figures she will put a bit of a fun twist on it. She says that McIntyre and McGillicutty have one week to find two partners, and next week on Smackdown, they and their partners will face off against PTP and International Airstrike in an 8-man tag team match. If PTP and Airstrike win, the title match will stay as it is, but if the other team wins… then whichever set of partners gets the fall (either McIntyre & McGillicutty or the other two), that team will win their way into the title match at Night of Champions.

WADE BARRETT vs. TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya)-
Tyson wins clean in eight minutes. Jack Swagger is on commentary, doing scouting.

CODY RHODES vs. DEAN AMBROSE (w/Seth Rollins)-
Ambrose wins clean in ten minutes, making Cody tap, once again with calming guidance from Rollins. Jack Swagger has remained at commentary to watch this match as well

SETH ROLLINS vs. ANTONIO CESARO (w/Aksana)-
Once again Rollins does not seem to be as prepared as he usually is for his matches, with Cesaro countering all of his signature moves, but Rollins not managing to counter any of the signature moves that Cesaro goes for. Cesaro wins clean in eight minutes countering a springboard lariat by Rollins with Roaring Swiss Death, then hitting the Gotch-style Neutralizer for the pin.

Randy Orton cuts a backstage promo on RVD. He shows the finish of their match on Monday night and says that RVD would have won that match, but he wasn’t in good enough shape to beat the ten count back into the ring.

LUCKY 6 QUALIFYING MATCH: Damien Sandow vs. CM Punk-
Sandow wins in fourteen minutes when Ziggler comes out to distract Punk, leading to Sandow hitting the Terminus and getting the win.

Dolph Ziggler cuts a backstage promo saying that Punk lost again tonight, and that Punk should acknowledge who the new “best in the world” is. The interview segment ends abruptly when an angry CM Punk comes by and chases Ziggler away.

ROB VAN DAM, BRODUS CLAY, & DANIEL BRYAN (w/AJ Bryan & Cameron) vs. MARK HENRY & THE COLONS-
The heels win clean when Henry pins Brodus. Orton is out on commentary and criticizes RVD’s conditioning, saying that the Colons ran circles around him all match.

The Miz puts out a Tout saying that there was some wisdom in Randy Orton’s words tonight. To fix the problem, he has to go back to where it all started.

WWE.com reports that Sheamus will be on Raw tonight, but is not yet cleared for action

Raw: (9/9/2013)- Toronto, ON
Raw opens up with The Cutting Edge, and Edge’s guest is none other than his best buddy, Christian! They do some E&C schtick, then Edge congratulates Christian on winning the WWE Title. Edge then starts asking some tougher questions. He tells Christian that threatening to attack a woman is very unlike him, and he wonders if being champion might be going to his head and changing him. Christian kicks Edge in the nuts, then goes to hit him with a Kill Switch, but doesn’t. He tells Edge that winning the WWE Title hasn’t changed him a bit. If it had, he would have paralyzed Edge for life with a Kill Switch. Christian then storms off.

We get a backstage segment with McInytre & McGillicutty trying to find a tag team to partner with them for the eight man tag team match on Smackdown (just imagine that the announcers ran down the stips of the match. I don’t feel like retyping them here). Santino and Ryder offer to partner with them but McIntyre & McGillicutty say they are too goofy and would lose their team the match. They are then approached by the makeshift team of Damien Sandow and David Otunga, who offer to team with them. McIntyre & McGillicutty say that they don’t trust Sandow and Otunga not to try to steal the pinfall from them.

JACK SWAGGER vs. BO DALLAS (w/Randy Orton)-
Before the match Bo cuts a promo urging anyone who has any information about the whereabouts of Husky Harris to please contact WWE immediately. Swagger makes Bo tap clean in seven minutes.

Mark Henry cuts a promo promising not to attack Sheamus tonight because he is an honorable man and Sheamus is still not cleared to wrestle… but he wants to remind everyone… especially Sheamus… just who it was that injured Sheamus, so he has the production guys play the clips of his attack on Sheamus from ten days ago on Smackdown.

LUCKY 6 QUALIFYING MATCH: Kane vs. Tensai-
Kane wins clean in seven minutes

Seth Rollins goes to Steph’s office. Rollins points out how well Ambrose has been doing, and asks Steph to give him an IC Title shot like they had talked about a few weeks ago. Steph says she’ll think about it. She is still worried that Ambrose might blow the match off, like he did at Summer Slam, which would reflect badly on WWE. Rollins assures her that won’t happen.

ROB VAN DAM vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Vickie Guerrero)-
RVD picks up the win in fifteen minutes after Punk interferes, costing Ziggler the match.

Miz cuts a promo saying that all of his bad luck started when he lost to Luke Harper at Summer Slam, so in order to fix things, he needs to prove to himself that he can beat Harper, so he is challenging Harper to a match at Night of Champions. Harper comes out and accepts the challenge, saying “okay… but just like last time, you’re gonna get run over.”

Antonio Cesaro comes out to the ring and cuts a promo demanding an IC Title match because he beat the IC Champion Seth Rollins on Smackdown. He is interrupted by Tyson Kidd, who says that he deserves an IC Title match first because he beat Rollins on Main Event, two nights before Cesaro beat Rollins. Steph comes out and announces something similar to ROH’s “Blind Destiny” gimmick that they used for Showdown in the Sun.
Steph explains that both of them, as well as Dean Ambrose have earned IC Title matches. She doesn’t want Ambrose’s match to be on PPV in case he flakes out again, so Ambrose will get his shot this week on Smackdown. Also on Smackdown, Kidd and Cesaro will face off with the winner receiving his IC Title match at Night of Champions (and thus the bigger payday) against whoever the champion is after the Ambrose-Rollins match, and the loser will face whoever doesn’t come out of the Rollins-Ambrose match as champion. The loser will then receive his title shot on Raw the night after Night of Champions against whoever the champion is after the IC Title match at Night of Champions.

THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS & INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 vs. HUNICO, CAMACHO, HEATH SLATER & YOSHI TATSU-
Pretty much an extended squash by Airstrike & PTP. The announcers put over that the two teams are working well together.

Randy Orton cuts a backstage promo saying that it is time he started reminding everyone why he is a top guy in the WWE. He also predicts that Miz will lose to Harper at Night of Champions in three minutes.

An angry Damien Sandow, Naomi and David Otunga storm out to the ring. First Naomi says that it is ridiculous and unsportswoman-like for Steph to give someone else the WWE Divas Title shot at Night of Champions that should have been hers, but she is too smart to not see what is really going on. She claims that AJ Bryan, Paige, and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley have conspired to rob her of her Divas Title match because they do not want her to be champion because she is so much smarter than the other Divas that she would always find a way to win.
Sandow and Otunga then cut a promo saying that if McIntyre & McGillicutty won’t let them prove their worth as a tag team, they will do so on their own. They make an open challenge to any two wrestlers on the roster to come out and face them in a tag team match. Their challenge is answered by Cody Rhodes and R-Truth.

CODY RHODES & R-TRUTH vs. DAVID OTUNGA & DAMIEN SANDOW (w/Naomi)-
Otunga and Sandow control most of the match, and Cody plays babyface in peril. The announcers play up that this is the second show in a row where Cody has been worked over pretty badly (he lost to Ambrose via submission of Smackdown), and they also bring up that he lost to Harper on last week’s Raw. After a brief comeback and hot tag, the heels get the win when Otunga pins Cody.

Sheamus comes out to the ring (his ribs are still taped up from Mark Henry’s attack on Smackdown last week) and cuts a promo:
There’s been a lot of talk going around recently over who is the top guy here in the WWE. Rob Van Dam and Randy Orton are arguing over who is and isn’t a top guy and who can or can’t hang with top guys. CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler are arguing over who can and can’t call themselves the “best in the world.” Christian says that having the WWE Title makes him the top guy, and Daniel Bryan thinks that he is the top guy because if he gets the chance to face Christian in a fair match, he will be able to beat Christian for the WWE Title. Mark Henry thinks he is the top guy because he took out John Cena and then injured me.
Sorry, everyone, but I’ve got some news for ya: I’M the top guy… and this title belt right here says so. I’m the top guy because I’ve held the World Heavyweight Title for 526 days. I’m the best in the world because I’ve beaten everybody else. I’m the top guy because I do things no one else can do. I’ve held a championship for 526 straight days. There are only four men in the entire history of WWE or WCW who have held a title for longer than I have, and all of them are in the Hall of Fame. I beat the unstoppable force that was Ryback! I beat the World’s Largest Athlete, the Big Show. I am the only man in all of 2013 to not get his arse handed to him by the Big Red Monster, Kane! I’ve survived the Barrett Barrage, the Yes Lock, the Attitude Adjustment, the Go To Sleep, the Chokeslam, the WMD, the Cross Armbreaker, and every other move that has been thrown at me!
As a great man once said “to be the man, you’ve got to beat the man!” If you want to call yourself the “best in the world” you’ve got to beat me, first! Rob? Randy? If you really want to know who the top guy is, why don’t you quit whining at each other, have a match to see which one of you is better, then that guy can try to earn the title of the top guy in the WWE by facing me!
Mark Henry understands that. That’s why he tried to take me out. Because he knows that he if he can beat me, he will be the top guy. And I might be hurt, but it doesn’t matter. I will beat Mark Henry at Night of Champions and prove, just like I have every month for the past seventeen months, that I am the top guy in the WWE!

McIntyre & McGillicutty are still trying to find tag partners. The Conquistadors come up to them, but they are dismissed as losers. Then the Colons come up to them and offer to team with them. Drew & McGillicutty are suspicious of their motives, but the Colons remind them that winning the fall doesn’t do them any good because they are barred from the title picture until PTP lose the belts. The Colons continue, pointing out that they want another team in the match because that makes it more likely that PTP will lose so they can get back into the title picture. McInytre & McGillicutty accept their offer.

RYBACK vs. EVAN BOURNE vs. BRODUS CLAY (w/Cameron) vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)-
The finish comes when Ryback goes for the Shell Shock on Brodus but Brodus wiggles free, charges off the ropes and hits Ryback with What the Funk. Del Rio breaks the pin up, and while he and Brodus brawl, Bourne climbs to the top rope and hits Ryback with Air Bourne for the win. The announcers hype this up as a HUGE upset.

CM Punk cuts a promo saying that he and Ziggler could go back and forth screwing each other out of wins until the end of time, but it wouldn’t prove anything. The only way to prove who is truly the Best in the World is face off one-on-one, in the ring.

WADE BARRETT vs. DANIEL BRYAN (w/AJ Bryan)-
Dragon makes Wade tap to the yes lock in fifteen minutes. After the match, Edge comes out and puts Dragon over on the mic and tells him that he hopes he and AJ kick Christian and Paige’s asses at Night of Champions.

WWE.com has reported that Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley liked Sheamus’ idea, so she has signed RVD vs. Orton for Night of Champions, with the winner receiving a World Heavyweight Title match at Over The Limit! In other Night of Champions news, she has made Luke Harper vs. The Miz match official. Miz will be taking time off from his regular WWE schedule this week to train for this match, but he will be on-hand for his protégé Corey Graves’ NXT #1 Contendership Tournament matches this Wednesday on NXT.

Main Event: (9/11/2013)
Sandow & Otunga (w/Naomi) squash two jobbers.

CODY RHODES vs. TENSAI vs. BRODUS CLAY (w/Cameron) vs. BO DALLAS (w/Randy Orton)-
Before the match Bo cuts a promo urging anyone who has any information about the whereabouts of Husky Harris to please contact WWE immediately. Jack Swagger is on commentary for this match, scouting for a possible #1 contender to the US Title at Night of Champions.
The focus of the match is that everyone works over Cody’s midsection. He suffers through big splashes from Brodus, a Train Wreck from Tensai and a Spear from Bo, but still manages to valiantly fight on, and even eventually picks up the win, pinning Bo after a Cross-Rhodes.

We get a video package of Miz and Graves going over footage of Luke Harper matches and training for Miz’s big match Night of Champions.

EVAN BOURNE vs. DEAN AMBROSE (w/Seth Rollins)-
Ambrose tries to ground Bourne with mat-wrestling and submissions, but Bourne out-quicks him at every turn, escaping his holds and firing back with stiff kicks to the head. Bourne picks up the win in ten minutes via Air Bourne. Ambrose seems extremely frustrated with this loss.

LUCKY 6 QUALIFYING MATCH: R-Truth vs. Wade Barrett-
Barrett wins clean in ten minutes

NXT: (9/11/2013)
Roman Reigns is on commentary all night
NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMIFINALS: Kassius Ohno vs. Big E. Langston-
Big E. wins clean in ten minutes

NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMIFINALS: Sami Zayn vs. Corey Graves (w/The Miz)-
Miz tries all of his dirty tricks, interfering in the match and distracting the ref at important times to try to help Graves win, but Sami Zayn prevails, beating Graves with a roll-up in just under ten minutes. After the match Miz and Graves attack Zayn and Miz hits him with a Skull-Crushing Finale.

The GM and some doctors come out to check on Zayn. They advise him not to wrestle, but he chooses to do so anyway, not wanting to forfeit the tournament finals.
NXT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT FINALS: Sami Zayn vs. Big E. Langston-
Sami wins clean in eighteen minutes, winning the tournament and becoming the #1 contender to the NXT Title. Roman Reigns gets up from the announcers table and hits Zayn in the back of the head with the NXT Title belt.

Dolph Ziggler puts out a Tout accepting CM Punk’s challenge to a one-on-one match.

WWE.com reports that General Manager of Raw & Smackdown Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley has officially signed CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler for Night of Champions. She has also signed a huge blockbuster main event for Smackdown which will be a fatal 4 way tag team match pitting RVD & CM Punk against Dolph Ziggler & Kane against Mark Henry & Wade Barrett against Randy Orton & Sheamus.
Also signed for Smackdown is a Mixed Tag Team match between Daniel & AJ Bryan and Damien Sandow & Naomi, and the last Lucky 6 Qualifying match, which will see Alberto Del Rio take on Cody Rhodes. Also on Smackdown, the rest of the card for Night of Champions will fill itself out as we will determine both the challenger and the champion for the Intercontinental Title match at Night of Champions, whether Drew McIntyre & Michael McGillicutty will be added to the WWE Tag Team Title match, and Stephanie McMahon Helmsley has given Jack Swagger until the end of the show to determine who the challenge for the US Title will be at Night of Champions!

Smackdown: (9/13/2013) Ottawa, ON
WINNER GETS THE IC TITLE MATCH AT NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS,LOSER GETS HIS TITLE MATCH THE NEXT NIGHT ON RAW: Antonio Cesaro (w/Aksana) vs. Tyson Kidd (w/Natalya)-
Cesaro wins clean in ten minutes.

LUCKY 6 QUALIFYING MATCH: Cody Rhodes vs. Alberto Del Rio (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)-
Jack Swagger is on commentary for this match, doing some scouting. Del Rio controls most of the match, working over Cody’s arm. He locks in the Cross Armbreaker multiple times, but Cody always manages to struggle to the ropes. Del Rio finally gets the win when Cody passes out from the pain of the Cross Armbreaker, just a few inches shy of the ropes. After the match, Swagger helps Cody up and helps him to the back.

We get a backstage interview with Sami Zayn to hype up the NXT Title match at Night of Champions (pre-taped and not shown to the live crowd so as not to spoil the NXT #1 contendership tournament on Wednesday). Sami is his usual babyface self. Roman Reigns interrupts him and is a jerk. Just something to give people who don’t watch NXT a reason to care about these two characters and their match at Night of Champions.

IF EITHER MCGILLICUTTY OR MCINTYRE GET THE PIN, THEY WILL BE ADDED INTO THE TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH AT NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS: The Prime Time Players & International Airstrike 2.0 vs. Drew McIntyre, Michael McGillicutty, & The Colons (w/Rosa Mendes)-
The heel team picks up the win when Drew pins Darren Young

Jack Swagger cuts a backstage promo saying that over the past few weeks Cody Rhodes has fought through a lot of pain and showed the heart and spirit of a true champion and true American. For this reason, Swagger has chosen Cody as the #1 contender for the US Title at Night of Champions.

LUKE HARPER vs. R-TRUTH-
Harper wins clean in seven minutes

We get another video package of Miz and Graves training for Miz’s match with Harper at Night of Champions

MIXED TAG TEAM MATCH: Daniel & AJ Bryan vs. Damien Sandow & Naomi (w/David Otunga)-
The finish comes when the babyfaces are in control of the match, but Otunga distracts the referee, which allows Christian and Paige to interfere. Christian spears Dragon on the outside while Paige waffles AJ with a chair, allowing Naomi to pin AJ for the win.

Renee Young interviews Evan Bourne about his recent string of upset victories. Bourne says that he doesn’t see them as upsets. Anyone who writes him off just because he is small is making a huge mistake, and he will prove that when he wins the Lucky 6 match at Night of Champions.

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Seth Rollins(c) vs. Dean Ambrose-
After about ten minutes of stalemate, Ambrose goes nuts. Rollins tries to calm him down, but Ambrose won’t listen. He kicks Rollins in the nuts, then starts beating on him with a steal chair (Rollins win by DQ and retains the title).

Christian and Paige cut a promo saying that the Bryans’ pipedream fantasy is over. They are going to beat the Bryans at Night of Champions, Paige will take AJ’s WWE Divas Title, and the Bryans will learn an important life lesson: Not ever story has a happy ending.

FATAL 4 WAY TAG TEAM MATCH: Sheamus & Randy Orton (w/Bo Dallas) vs. Rob Van Dam & CM Punk vs. Mark Henry & Wade Barrett vs. Kane & Dolph Ziggler (w/Vickie Guerrero)-
Before the match Bo cuts a promo urging anyone who has any information about the whereabouts of Husky Harris to please contact WWE immediately.
Kane and Henry both throw the smaller guys around unless they are in there with each other or with Sheamus, which case it seems to be a stalemate.
The finish comes when RVD goes for a 5 Star Frog Splash on Barrett, but Orton catches him with an RKO out of mid-air. RVD winds up rolling towards the ropes, though, so when Orton goes for a cover on him, he gets his foot on the ropes. A frustrated Orton stands up and begins measuring RVD for a punt to the head, but Wade Barrett rolls him up from behind for the surprise pin.
Sheamus and Henry brawl after the match, and it takes tons of security guards to keep them apart. Kane stands in the background and laughs at the chaos.

WWE Night of Champions 2013: (9/15/2013)- Detroit, MI

PRE-SHOW:
Miz comes out and says that he doesn't want to wait for Harper any longer. He is sure that he can beat him, and he needs to end this streak of bad luck as quickly as possible.

LUKE HARPER vs. THE MIZ (w/Corey Graves)-
Harper wins clean in four minutes. Miz has minor breakdown after the match, and the announcers wonder if this loss has completely shattered his confidence.

Randy Orton cuts a backstage promo saying that he was proven right that Miz couldn't even beat an NXT guy, and he will prove himself right later on tonight when he proves that RVD doesn't have what it takes to be a top guy anymore.
The announcers comment that Orton really got in Miz's head over the past few weeks and they wonder if the same will happen to RVD.

NXT TITLE MATCH: Roman Reigns(c) vs. Sami Zayn-
Sami Zayn wins clean in fifteen minutes.

Wade Barrett cuts a promo saying that he hasn't been doing so well since losing to Sheamus at Money in the Bank, but that getting the pin in that big four way tag team main event on Smackdown was the start of good things for him, and that will continue tonight when he wins the Lucky 6 match to earn a shot at the WWE Title.

MAIN SHOW:

LUCKY 6 MATCH FOR A WWE TITLE SHOT TOMORROW NIGHT ON RAW: Evan Bourne vs. Kane vs. Wade Barrett vs. Alberto Del Rio (w/Ricardo Rodriguez) vs. Brodus Clay (w/Cameron) vs. Damien Sandow (w/Daivd Otunga & Naomi)-
They go about ten minutes. Sandow plays hit and run as best he can. Kane dominates everyone whenever he is in the ring. Bourne and Barrett both get one or two good nearfalls in, but Kane eventually wins the match in twelve minutes, pinning Brodus after a chokeslam.

DEAN AMBROSE vs. TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya)-
Kidd out-wrestles Ambrose for the first few minutes, which causes Ambrose to snap. He grabs a chair and starts beating the crap out of Tyson. Nattie calls to the back for help, and help arrives in the form of a chair-wielding Seth Rollins. Rollins and Ambrose have a nice little five minute hardcore brawl until they are separated. Rollins seems to have come out of it much worse for wear. Security removes Ambrose from the arena, and Rollins and Kidd both receive medical attention. While they are being helped to the back, Antonio Cesaro comes out on the ramp and says that his IC Title match is scheduled next, so if Rollins can't compete right now, he will have to forfeit the belt. Rollins tries to get back to the ring, but Steph comes out and tells Cesaro that Rollins will be given as long as he needs to recover. (Total time for the whole segment should be about thirteen minutes)

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH FOR THE WWE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES: The Prime Time Players(c) vs. International Airstrike 2.0 (Justin Gabriel & Adrian Neville) vs. Drew McIntyre & Michael McGillicutty-
PTP retain the belts when Darren Young steals Neville's pin on McGillicutty after Airstrike hit their tag team finisher on him. Match goes ten minutes.

WWE UNITED STATES TITLE MATCH: Jack Swagger(c) vs. Cody Rhodes
Cody fights valiantly, but the injuries he has suffered over the past few weeks catch up to him and he is forced to tap out to the Patriot Act in about ten minutes.

CM PUNK vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Vickie Guerrero)-
Ziggler wins in twenty minutes via roll-up with illegal leverage by having his feet on the ropes.

WINNER BECOMES #1 CONTENDER TO THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Rob Van Dam vs. Randy Orton (w/Bo Dallas)-
Before the match, Bo urges anyone with information on the whereabouts of his cousin Husky Harris to please contact WWE immediately.
Orton wins clean in seventeen minutes

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Sheamus(c) vs. Mark Henry-
Sheamus wins clean in fifteen minutes. Henry works over the ribs, but Sheamus toughs it out. The finish comes when Sheamus hits Henry with a Brogue Kick, causing Henry to stagger backwards to the corner, then hits Henry with another HUGE Borgue Kick before pulling him away from the ropes and covering him for the pin.

Cesaro comes out and demands his title match right now. Steph asks Rollins if he'd like to wait until after the Mixed tag team match, but Rollins says it won't make a difference, so he'll wrestle now.

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Seth Rollins(c) vs. Antonio Cesaro (w/Aksana)-
Cesaro works over the parts of Rollins' body that were injured in his brawl with Ambrose earlier and gets some good nearfalls, but Rollins eventually fights back like a good babyface and gets the win in sixteen minutes

MIXED TAG TEAM MATCH FOR BOTH THE WWE TITLE AND THE DIVAS TITLE: Paige & Christian(WWE Champion) vs. AJ Bryan (WWE Divas Champion) & Daniel Bryan
I would actually have the ref enforce the rules for this match and avoid any intergender contact whenever possible so that the heels can actually use it to get heat, which I would do in the form of Paige distracting the ref so Christian can come in and work over AJ's knee (you know that old school move where you just lift the other guy's knee up and smash it down on the ground? Imagine how high Christian would be able to lift skinny little AJ up! It would look great)!
Another subplot of the match would be that every time Dragon has the Yes Lock locked in or almost locked in, Paige runs in and breaks it up. At one point Dragon would have the move locked in and have Christian tapping, but Paige would have the ref distracted so he doesn't see it.
Anyway, AJ winds up as the babyface in peril and eventually taps out to Paige's Stretch Muffler at about twenty five minutes in.

WWE.com reports that Tyson Kidd will be out for a few months dues to injuries sustained in an attack by Dean Ambrose at Night of Champions.

Raw: (9/16/2013)- Cleveland, OH
Raw opens with a pre-taped promo from RVD saying that he has thought things over, and maybe Randy Orton is right. He isn’t in the condition he needs to be in to be a top guy in the WWE, so he is going to take some time off and get himself in better shape… but when he gets back, he promises that he won’t just be a top guy. He will be THE top guy.

CM PUNK vs. THE MIZ (w/Corey Graves)-
Punk wins clean in eight minutes

Christian cuts a promo once again complaining about how unfair having to defend his title two nights in a row is. He is pretty much scared to death of having to face Kane, especially after Kane injured him back in June and dominated him in their Beat The Clock Challenge match last month.

We get a pre-tape of JBL interviewing Kane (because, after what happened to both Striker and Matthews, no one of the interviewers, or Cole or Lawler, will do it). JBL asks Kane if he thinks he will be able to defeat Christian for the WWE Title tonight. Kane responds by doing the Kane/Taker throat-slash motion, then laughs maniacally.

JACK SWAGGER vs. BRODUS CLAY (w/Cameron) vs. DAMIEN SANDOW (w/Naomi)-
Sandow wins clean in eight minutes after he does a good job of getting Brodus blown up before catching him with the Terminus.

Dragon & AJ promo- AJ says they are going to waste no time getting their belts back. She says that she is getting her return match this Friday on Smackdown. Dragon says that Christian could try to run away and get intentionally counted out to retain his title tonight, but that would actually be worse for him than having to face Kane, because once the match ends, Dragon is free to come after him for hurting AJ in their match last night (because competitors of opposite genders attacking each other is against the rules in mixed tag matches, and I will have the rules be important, dammit!)

MARK HENRY vs. LUKE HARPER-
Harper wins clean in ten minutes with the running big boot.

Renee Young asks Randy Orton for some comments on RVD’s decision to take some time off to get in better condition. Orton says “I have a knack for getting people to do what I want.” Wade Barrett comes over and reminds us that he pinned Randy on Smackdown and says that he because he pinned Orton, he deserves to be the #1 contender instead of Orton. Barrett challenges Orton to put his #1 contendership up for grabs on Smackdown. Orton agrees.

SHEAMUS vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)-
Sheamus wins clean in thirteen minutes. Orton is shown watching the match on a monitor backstage.

Miz cuts a backstage promo saying that he is tired of losing. Orton interrupts and says maybe Miz should pull an RVD and take some time off.

DEAN AMBROSE vs. CODY RHODES-
They go for about eight minutes until Ambrose gets frustrated and hits Cody with a blatant low blow. Ambrose then grabs a chair (shoving the referee when he tries to stop him) and attacks Cody with the chair. Seth Rollins runs out with a chair of his own and they fight. During the fight, Rollins tries to talk Ambrose down, and at one point it appears to work. As Rollins comes closer, though, Ambrose lashes out with a kick to the groin and then hits Rollins with a Headlock DDT onto a chair.

Paige cuts a promo saying that she just won the Divas Title and if AJ thinks she is going to give it up so easily, she has another thing coming. She vows to use any means necessary to retain the title.

THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS & INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE vs. HUNICO, CAMACHO & THE COLONS (w/Rosa Mendes)-
The babyfavces win clean in seven minutes when Gabriel pins Camacho. The announcers talk up how great it is that two teams can compete for the tag titles one night and then team up and work together so well together the next night.

Dolph Ziggler cuts an in-ring promo talking about how he beat CM Punk at Night of Champions and is thus the new “Best in the World.” He then voices his displeasure that guys like Randy Orton and Wade Barrett are fighting over who should be the #1 contender when he, Dolph Ziggler, hasn’t lost a match in a month and a half. Steph comes out and points out that there is another man who hasn’t lost a match in even longer than that… Luke Harper. If Ziggler doesn’t like the way Steph chooses her #1 contenders, Dolph should at least prove himself worthy of being the #1 contender by beating someone who she has her eye on for a future title shot. That match will take place on Smackdown.

WWE TITLE MATCH: Christian(c) vs. Kane-
The match ends in a DQ when Big Show comes out of the crowd and attacks Kane putting him down with a whole bunch of WMD’s to the back of the head

WWE.com announces that Seth Rollins will be out of action for a few days as a result taking a Headlock DDT onto a steel chair from Dean Ambrose on Raw, combined with the injuries he sustained at Ambrose’s hands at both Night of Champions and last week’s Smackdown.

Main Event
: (9/18/2013)
DANIEL BRYAN (w/AJ Bryan) vs. THE MIZ (w/Corey Graves)-
Dragon wins clean in seven minutes

EVAN BOURNE vs. BRODUS CLAY (w/Cameron)-
Bourne manages to use his speed to escape Brodus’ grasp and gets Brodus blown up, before charging in with some hit and run offense and eventually getting the win via Shooting Star Press in twelve minutes.

DEAN AMBROSE vs. SIN CARA-
Ambrose gets frustrated with his inability to catch the elusive luchador, so he grabs a chair and tries to hit Cara with it. When the ref tries to stop him, Ambrose punches him. Cara charges at Ambrose to save the referee, but Ambrose hits him with the chair a few times, then walks off.

WADE BARRETT vs. CODY RHODES-
Wade wins clean in fifteen minutes

WWE.com reports than Dean Ambrose has been suspended for three days for attacking a WWE official.
