this is already a 10X better card. It will be weird seeing a japanese guy in a 3-way
Weird... but different. Much more interesting that Ishii vs. Goto, but I'd still rather have Fish vs. O'Reilly for the title and Ishii and Goto facing other people.

Oh great. Because people care about those ridiculous things.

but at least now the match makes sense with the Bucks being pinned last week and why KUSHIDA could be in that match

Doesn't matter. Those things have been booked like crap from day one. They don't add anything to the match, and KUSHIDA could have been in the match just because he and Omega were recently feuding and he is doing a solid to his pal Alex Shelley by helping out Shelley's two friends.

Goto will face Dalton Castle in a match that will not do anything for anyone.

doesn't matter, but it doesn't hurt, at least you know that having a winner matters because otherwise the relevancy of this match's outcome would be at zero. I don't like those titles either, but if we're gonna have them, may as well be defended here and there.

Goto vs Castle if not for the wrestling, at least should be interesting interaction between super serious Goto and not so serious Castle. It will at least be a new match up

Fair enough. And I guess the constant switching ALMOST makes me think there is a chance Bullet Club might not retain.

The problem, to me, is that this seems to be the basis for almost ALL of Castle's matches. They put him against either:
1. A super serious guy who will be weirded out by him
2. A super serious guy who will get annoyed at him and want to kick his ass
3. Another comedic guy

I'm much more interested in seeing him face Roddy or Kyle or Cedric or Elgin and prove himself as a wrestler. He's certainly a "character" but that shouldn't (kayfabe) get you booked in ROH, and it just doesn't allow for any sort of variety in his stories.

i wouldn't be surprised either, kinda like the trade off for the TV title, but I'm hoping that they see there is more potential in Omega being a double champion rather than Kushida.

Sydal would also be a double champion, and of two different sets of tag belts, and I just don't see that happening.
Also, I think New Japan like the Bucks and wants titles on them, so I don't see these belts changing hands.

I just makes you wonder... if they wanted the belts on the Young Bucks and Omega, why did they beat them so many times before this. Giving the random title shots at New Year's Dash to Tenzan, Kojima, & a partner, or to Blue Justice would have worked just as well (and, arguably, Tenzan, Kojima, & a partner of some notoriety constitute a bigger name than Fale & the Bucks), and having Yano & the Briscoes beat Anderson, Gallows, and Cody Hall would probably have been even better because they would be at least as big if not bigger than any other trio New Japan could have reasonably assembled (based off of the other stuff they wanted to do on that card), and you could just pin a guy who is about to be leaving the company anyway.

at first i imagined that it would be a way to give meaning to all the senseless 6-man and 8-man tag matches, it would give a bone to guys like Tonga, and Kojima, and Nagata, and Yano, but like we've seen, it's been hot potatoed in the last month. I'm not sure if a lot changed with the loss of the guys from January or the addition of the ROH talent.

I don't think the loss of the Bullet Club guys changed anything. If it did change anything, those changes probably would have resulted in them putting over the Briscoes on their way out as a suggested above, but it didn't (and the AJ/Omega stuff was already planned, too). I think this is just standard New Japan "who gives a sh*t? It's just the undercard" booking that we see all the time. Now they just have a second set of titles to kick around down there.

well, with that hint that a new BC member was coming in to team with Tonga made me figure that they're trying to replace Gallows and Anderson, i figured that's why they decided to move the trios titles from him so quick and since they wouldn't do BC vs BC, they had a quick change back to Yano/Briscoes. It's definitely obvious that they're doing some re-ordering of people

If the end goal is to get the belts on Tonga, though, it would have been better to just leave them with Yano & the Briscoes until you've got all of your ducks in a row for the switch to Tonga.

A bunch of match announcements for the post-PPV TV Tapings (minor TV spoilers are probably infer-able)
Hidden text.
Embued by the New Japan Pro Wrestling talents accentuating their own talents, Ring of Honor announced the following lineup for this Saturday's 2/27 TV Taping in Las Vegas:

*The Young Bucks vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi & Michael Elgin

“*IWGP Intercontinental champion Kenny Omega vs. ACH

*Adam Cole vs. KUSHIDA

*reDRagon vs Kazuchika Okada & Gedo

*ROH World Tag Team Champions ANX or War Machine (whoever wins on PPV the night before) defend against RPG Vice.

*Fight without Honor: Silas Young vs Dalton Castle

*ROH champion Jay Lethal vs. Hirooki Goto.

For ticket information, visit www.ROHWrestling.com
It seems strange that the Silas vs. Castle Fight Without Honor is on TV and not PPV.

the feud has lost A LOT of steam, it's probably for the best

PPV crowds are usually hotter than TV crowds, though, and you might as well make money off of it while you still can. It's a fine undercard match for a PPV.
