and who the hell dictates what pro wrestling is supposed to be? You enjoy WWE and LU, review ROH and TNA, and THIS is what hurts the suspension of disbelief? two dudes dressing up for some laughs?

If Dalton asked them for help, then that doesn't explain why they were dressed up as Boys. Because it's Dalton, he's weird
If Kyle just wanted to fight Mt. Rushmore, why did he and Fish have to dress up like Dalton's Boys? it was part f the deal, or they like it, or to swerve Rushmore. If the match is booked as Castle/Boys vs Rushmore, they can't just come out as reDragon, that wasn't booked, they have to be Boys in order to legally participate in the match.
If they are closet Boys, why are outing themselves? Ask a gay person why they decided to come out of the closet, I don't know the answer to this one
If they lost their gear at the airport surely they would have had time to find more gear- or at least shorts and a t-shirt. What's wrong with 'Boys' attire?

Fenix & Pentagon are teaming because they were booked to do so by the promotion. There you go, you just answered your question, reDragon was booked as Boys for the night
Scurll came out to congratulate Zack because they are tag team partners in the UK.
Chuck Taylor wasn't in BOLA because he wasn't available the first two nights.

These are all simple, straightforward explanations for simple happenings.

Because it's out of character. You can't have a dude show up in what amounts to be a Halloween costume one night and ask me to take him seriously the next. It just doesn't work.

If Dalton asked them for help, then that doesn't explain why they were dressed up as Boys. Because it's Dalton, he's weird

Do some segment where Cole & The Bucks say they will only face Dalton and the Boys, and then, when it's time for the match, reDRagon come out dressed and acting like the Boys and do their Boys things until it's time for the match to start.

If they are closet Boys, why are outing themselves? Ask a gay person why they decided to come out of the closet, I don't know the answer to this oneFair enough. But if they then out themselves, they have to stay out, so how do you explain it next time when they show up as Bobby and Kyle.
If they lost their gear at the airport surely they would have had time to find more gear- or at least shorts and a t-shirt. What's wrong with 'Boys' attire?
Nothing wrong with it. Just seems to me they would have had to set some specially made to fit Bobby and Kyle, who are larger than the Boys. Also, that doesn't explain why they are acting like the Boys, too. Pillman did prance around he was forced to wear a dress after SummerSlam 1997.
Fenix & Pentagon are teaming because they were booked to do so by the promotion. There you go, you just answered your question, reDragon was booked as Boys for the night
Except that "the Boys" aren't a role assigned by the promotion. They are Dalton's personal servants. The fact that he is so attacked to them makes that clear.
Scurll came out to congratulate Zack because they are tag team partners in the UK.

Some people can, I wouldn't expect Super Dragon to do it, but KOR is sleazy Kyle at the same time he's break your bones Kyle.

You're asking too much, this is PWG, they don't do segments. I can assure you no one that was there live asked themselves why they were Dalton's partners

But you can still book people as 'the boys', same way they could have booked Castle to be a third reDragon too

Swiveling your hips on a suplex or doing the Joey Ryan pose is a much different level from randomly deciding to be someone's scantily-dressed manservant for a wrestling match against the top heels.

I have never seen a good explanation for why they don't do segments, and as the Roddy-Cole thing or the first backstage Mt. Rushmore promo proved, they can do them when they want. The way I see it, a segment to set this up would not affect whatever enjoyment of absurdity that the PWG stoners/hipsters/abstract southern Californians gets out of the segment, but it would make the pill much easier to swallow for someone like me or a continuity-hound CHIKARA fan or some other type of fans who would be turned off by this sort of thing if there is no explanation, so why not take the five minutes and shoot a f*cking segment?

If they are closet Boys, why are outing themselves? Ask a gay person why they decided to come out of the closet, I don't know the answer to this oneFair enough. But if they then out themselves, they have to stay out, so how do you explain it next time when they show up as Bobby and Kyle.
They're still reDragon, they're not boys unless they're teaming with Castle

So you're stipulating that they're not so much "Boys" in the general sense of flamboyant gay submissives, but rather in a more specific context meaning that their specific fetish is for Dalton Castle?

No you can't. Unless you think it makes sense that PWG would pay Kyle and Bobby extra to be Dalton's Boys for the night and that Dalton would accept them as such without real commitment. Also, if they're getting paid to do it, it might be illegal in California.

Swiveling your hips on a suplex or doing the Joey Ryan pose is a much different level from randomly deciding to be someone's scantily-dressed manservant for a wrestling match against the top heels.
But randomly dressing up one night to attack someone in order to attack someone is not far fetched either, we've seen Stone Cold of all people dress up as Santa claus.

If Dalton asked them for help, then that doesn't explain why they were dressed up as Boys. Because it's Dalton, he's weird

Because PWG is not a tv show, it's a live show, that's how you really fully take it in, DVDs are just matches and don't really showcase how awesome the live show. People don't go to PWG to see stories, they're there for the wrestling.
The only segments they have done are all after the show, and they're only done to explain or further the closing of the show, usually when it's a reveal. You don't do that to set up a match and especially inbetween a match

It would definitely affect the enjoyment since it spoils the reveal or it at least hints that it won't be the actual boys being there. When do you expect them to tape this segment? 5 minutes before the show when no one can see it and the wrestlers are trying to eat and set up their match? or after then show when it's completely irrelevant now and the wrestlers are trying to sell their t-shirts. I know what you're saying, but PWG is just not a story driven promotion, and that's why it works. You said it best, this is pro wrestling, not sketches.

If they are closet Boys, why are outing themselves? Ask a gay person why they decided to come out of the closet, I don't know the answer to this oneFair enough. But if they then out themselves, they have to stay out, so how do you explain it next time when they show up as Bobby and Kyle.

I would imagine that this could be both, and I hope that ROH would tell us more of this story, we've seen many boys so far, but we don't know their story, how they started, where did Dalton find them, maybe be too 'wacky' for ROH, but Dalton eventually NEEDS a story where a boy does betray him and not to be a 'man' like Silas Young, but just because he hates Castle, because that would make Dalton soo much more interesting, that boys can also be men that kick ass. Castle should be the Wyatt Family of ROH.

Fenix & Pentagon are teaming because they were booked to do so by the promotion. There you go, you just answered your question, reDragon was booked as Boys for the night

But a booker can indeed book a gimmick if they want, especially if the wrestlers agree to, which seems like KOR and Fish did.

For the purposes of infiltration it makes sense. Kyle and Bobby could have just dressed normally (and if they couldn't, it needs to be explained). Also their disguises did absolutely nothing to disguise their identities.

If Dalton asked them for help, then that doesn't explain why they were dressed up as Boys. Because it's Dalton, he's weird

If you're selling DVDs/VODs, you're target audience is everyone. If PWG was just about the live crowd, they wouldn't be selling the DVDs and they would maybe try to move to a bigger building. And even if most people "go to PWG for the wrestling, not for the stories," that doesn't mean that you can't cater to the people who like stories, also. You cannot possibly convince me that stories- simple, basic stories- would get in the way of those people's enjoyment of PWG. Think about it: what are the things that have gotten PWG the most buzz in the past couple of years? Every time they do some sort of story, be it Mt. Rushmore forming, or Candace and Joey winning the tag belts, or even going back to Cole turning heel on Steen and Steen helping Generico and Rick Knox against the Young Bucks.
The only segments they have done are all after the show, and they're only done to explain or further the closing of the show, usually when it's a reveal. You don't do that to set up a match and especially inbetween a match
Well why can't you do it to set up a match? Just put it on the DVD before the actual show begins, just like you'd see from ROH or CHIKARA or whoever.

I'm not saying do a segment where you show Kyle and Bobby dressing up as the Boys backstage or even Dalton talking to them. Kyle and Bobby don't even have to be there at all. Just do a segment where Dalton wants a match with Mt. Rushmore but they tell him they will only accept the match if he teams with his Boys, and Dalton accepts. Kyle and Bobby don't even have to be there or be mentioned. Even if someone might figure out that Dalton will use a loophole, they still won't know who he will team with, and it won't spoil the humor of seeing Kyle and Bobby playing the role of Dalton's Boys.

When do you expect them to tape this segment? 5 minutes before the show when no one can see it and the wrestlers are trying to eat and set up their match? or after then show when it's completely irrelevant now and the wrestlers are trying to sell their t-shirts. At some point backstage, either before, after, or even DURING the show, just like every other promotion does. If they don't have time at PWG, have them film it backstage at ROH when no one is looking for all I care. Hell... you could have them shoot their own promos that they put on the official PWG YouTube channel in the weeks leading up to the show. They wouldn't even have to be in the same place at the same time (and personally, I think it would be a lot funnier to have Dalton want the match in the first promo, have Cole and the Bucks respond that they'll only agree to the match if Dalton teams with his Boys, and then have a promo where Dalton responds with the Boys standing there with him, and when he accepts the match, they gulp in fear in the background).

I agree with everything you said here except for that last part about Dalton being the Wyatt Family of ROH. We already had the Wyatt Family done right in ROH: it was called the Decade, but Delirious killed it dead for no reason by breaking Page away.
I think the biggest travesty to come out of the Dalton vs. Silas feud was the lack of a lasting effect, and one of the Boys buying into Silas' message and thus breaking off and becoming his own character to feud with Dalton would have been a perfect way to do that. Jay Lethal started out as a Special K dork until Samoa Joe gave him a speech that set him straight.

Fenix & Pentagon are teaming because they were booked to do so by the promotion. There you go, you just answered your question, reDragon was booked as Boys for the night

Theoretically, yes. Although it seems very odd to me that any promoter would go to reDRagon and pitch "I've got this awesome idea: you'll team with Dalton Castle and be his Boys for a match!" Like... why would any promoter think of that in the first place and think reDRagon would agree to it. It's not impossible within kayfabe, but it is extremely wacky.

This segment does nothing really, we've seen Dalton team with the actual boys before, why would it matter now that Rushmore wants to fight the boys? is Castle gonna start to suddenly not trust them for a fight?

So you're saying that they can either pay extra money to wrestlers to set up an exhibition match that really needs no setting up, OR do tape a segment that people won't even get to see before the match itself. I'm sorry, but both sound like bad ideas.

If they are closet Boys, why are outing themselves? Ask a gay person why they decided to come out of the closet, I don't know the answer to this oneFair enough. But if they then out themselves, they have to stay out, so how do you explain it next time when they show up as Bobby and Kyle.

the Decade wasn't like the Wyatts, they were just old timers that were pissed at the new kids. Wyatts and Castle are both followings with what could be hundreds of followers that we don't know

It would definitely affect the enjoyment since it spoils the reveal or it at least hints that it won't be the actual boys being there.
This segment does nothing really, we've seen Dalton team with the actual boys before, why would it matter now that Rushmore wants to fight the boys? is Castle gonna start to suddenly not trust them for a fight?
The idea wouldn't be so much that Mount Rushmore want to fight the Boys so much as they don't think the Boys will be a real threat and Dalton will essentially be down 3-on-1. And as for why Dalton would want better back-up... because there are very dangerous, devious people, and because reDRagon are better than the Boys.
As for what the segment does, it establishes Mount Rushmore as cowardly heels who want to beat someone up three-on-one, and sets up the silly comedy bit of reDRagon being the Boys by explaining why such a thing would happen (and in the process, we get to have our babyfaces outsmart the heels and force them to fight fair).

So you're saying that they can either pay extra money to wrestlers to set up an exhibition match that really needs no setting up, OR do tape a segment that people won't even get to see before the match itself. I'm sorry, but both sound like bad ideas.
I'm pretty sure wrestlers don't get paid extra for doing promos. People will see the promos if you do them on YouTube. If you tape them at the show, then yes- people won't see them beforehand... but then people in the live crowd are in exactly the same spot they would be to just have them come out as the Boys with no explanation, but people who buy the DVD/VOD will get to see it beforehand, so it will be better for them.

I would imagine that this could be both, and I hope that ROH would tell us more of this story, we've seen many boys so far, but we don't know their story, how they started, where did Dalton find them, maybe be too 'wacky' for ROH, but Dalton eventually NEEDS a story where a boy does betray him and not to be a 'man' like Silas Young, but just because he hates Castle, because that would make Dalton soo much more interesting, that boys can also be men that kick ass. Castle should be the Wyatt Family of ROH.
I agree with everything you said here except for that last part about Dalton being the Wyatt Family of ROH. We already had the Wyatt Family done right in ROH: it was called the Decade, but Delirious killed it dead for no reason by breaking Page away.
the Decade wasn't like the Wyatts, they were just old timers that were pissed at the new kids. Wyatts and Castle are both followings with what could be hundreds of followers that we don't know
The Decade was charismatic guys preaching "this is the right way to do things." Dalton doesn't seem like someone who has "followers" in the "convinced by his message" sense so much as he seems like a dude who has many manservants. He is nothing like the Wyatts.
