I actually think that an iPPV is the future. Netflix, movies on demand, hulu, all those are making television watching via the internet something really common. I'm pretty sure that if WWE were to run iPPVs (with their own technology, not via GFL) they would easily double PPV sells. Same with TNA.

I disagree. iPPV's are dependent on the quality of your internet connection, which isn't always good. Normal PPVs are not. iPPV's are great for indy companies, but not for WWE or TNA

it's kinda like the same thing, since normal PPVs are dependent on you having some service where you can order it. I see it this way, in Mexico, it's expensive and a pain in the ass to order a WWE PPV over the (not even cable company) dish company. But if they could order it via internet, people would because it's cheaper to have fast internet than an dish contract. I imagine it's the same thing for a lot of countries. if WWE or TNA were to start offering both they could easily double their buys, even if TNA keeps booking crappy PPVs

I think iPPVs are the future mainly bc the internet is the future. They connections will improve more and more as time goes along, so that more ppl will be able to watch. I mean, you have to have cable or satellite to watch PPV's; it's pretty much the same. Once the technology catches up to the point that everyone with the internet will be able to get good quality on the iPPVs (which I doubt will be long from now), cable and satellite will become obsolete....
