TNA: What SquaredCirlce would have you believe, and what is actually the case.

This thread is being made in an attempt to bring some positive attention to TNA around here, since it seems like the only time TNA content is shared it is negative or done in a mocking manner.
I am going to address the common things I see upvoted about TNA, and I want to shed some light on those things as much as possible.
So, here we go!
Taz is the worst commentator alive
I've seen this comment almost every time his name comes up. But, the fact of the matter is, the guy is great. Watch any episode from the last 3 weeks(and any of their latest PPV's) and you can see that there's almost no match where he doesn't call moves, put over talent, and further storylines. In the last few PPV's from TNA that I've watched, he has mentioned The Rockers, his ECW days, which suplexes he innovated when they are used in the ring, and much, much more.
Say what you will about him, it you don't like him, you don't like him, but you cannot slight his commentary work lately, it's arguably the best heel commentary on TV right now.
PLUS, he was singing along with Mickie James' "Hardcore Country" theme song like 2 weeks ago, that's fucking hilarious!!!
TNA only pushes old WWE guys
Magnus is getting a massive push right now, and is probably going to be the champion any day now, and the best part is that he is actually ready for it. It's like he said "When opportunity knocks, you answer the door," and it looks like TNA answered the door on Magnus, because they are pushing him big time.
Chris Sabin, Christopher Daniels, Kazarian, Robert Roode, Joseph Park, and more TNA Originals are seeing consistent TV time, and are being pushed to the forefront now.
As for the WWE guys:
Jeff Hardy is just an accessory on the roster currently, and is not a focus of the show. He is the face of their workout app, which is really the only annoying thing about seeing him around currently, but they really only talk about it when Hardy is in the ring. The same goes for Hogan as far as not being a focus of the show, he is more of just a host or emcee to TNA, and his TV time usually amounts to less than 10 minutes lately.
Bully Ray is their current champion and the only one from WWE who is consistently in the spotlight currently. You could even argue that he is from ECW, since that is where he formed who he is inside the ring.
TNA is never going to compete with WWE
To this, I just say, "Not with that attitude!"
Seriously, just give TNA a shot and I bet you'll enjoy it. They have great comedy wrestlers like Robbie E, Jessie Godderz, Eric Young, and Joseph Park. They have great women's wrestling with the small Knockouts roster they have(seriously, Mickie James is doing some of her best work yet, Gail Kim still has it in spades, and Taryn Terrell is rapidly improving). They have a really solid tag division right now with arguably the best heel team currently operating: Bad Influence, which is Kazarian and Christopher Daniels. If you want some fantastic cocky, funny, and solid mic work, you don't need to look further than Bad Influence. They also have a great heel champion in Bully Ray, who is easy to genuinely hate since he's such an asshole.
So, to sum all this up, just lighten up on TNA and give them a chance. This isn't about WWE vs TNA, this is just about enjoying the wrestling shows that people put on for you.
EDIT: To be clear, I am trying to give people the other side of the coin here so you can try and enjoy something different, and support something you may not have given a fair shake. WWE will be just fine without anyone ever posting about them again, but things like TNA, ROH, CHIKARA, local indy promotions, puro, etc... really benefit from people talking about them. The way the sub is currently isn't really creating a culture of wrestling fans, it's creating a culture of WWE purists. The "us" vs "them" stuff has to go, because I don't want there to be a moment where WWE puts TNA out of business or vice versa, I want them both to be at the top of their game at all times.

He doesn't put over angles. He makes dumb jokes and comes across as completely delusional by denying the obvious truth of things. He doesn't know the names of most of the wrestlers finishers and completely and totally drags the show down.
Fair points, but I don't think I have heard anyone make this criticism for the past year or so. Yeah people were unhappy with Jeff winning the title, but that was more because people thought Aries was better rather than because Jeff came from WWE.cero2k wrote:TNA: What SquaredCirlce would have you believe, and what is actually the case.
