DOLPH ZIGGLER PROMO- His tone just seemed kind of... off... here. A bit too over-dramatic. Like he was giving a grand soliloquy.
DOLPH ZIGGLER, ROB VAN DAM, & KOFI KINGSTON vs. WADE BARRETT, SETH ROLLINS, & JACK SWAGGER (w/Zeb Coulter)- 6.25/10
I know I'm not the first one to make this comparison, but Rollins' gear really does look like something you'd expect to see in a superhero movie.
I know that this was probably an unfair expectation on my part, but I was kind of disappointed that they didn't just let them go for 20-25 minutes. It just kind of felt like the right time for it, and with the right guys.
After the match, Swagger jumped Ziggler and Barrett jumped RVD, then fought amongst themselves with Barrett coming out on top.
LAYLA & FANDANGO BACKSTAGE- apparently something happened on Smackdown where Summer Rae decided that she wants to be with Fandango again and so she kissed him, but then Layla walked in and saw it, and now this has somehow become a love triangle between three babyfaces.
BO DALLAS vs. FANDANGO (w/Layla)- no rating.
Summer Rae came out and made out with Fandango. Layla charged at Summer and they had a cat fight. This distracted Fandango, allowing Bo to hit the Bo-dog for the win.
CURTIS AXEL & RYBACK vs. XAVIER WOODS & R-TRUTH- 2.5/10
This was the first time that Woods just seemed like a young wrestler on the main roster instead of a guy who is an underdog because he is a rookie. It was something about the opening of the match and the way he carried himself.
After the match, Rybaxel challenged Goldust and Stardust to a match at Money in the Bank. Ryback called them "hermaphrodites," which, while likely not true, did make me laugh. I'm not even sure why.
RENEE YOUNG INTERVIEWS ROMAN REIGNS- dull.
Throughout the whole show, I thought it was kind of strange that this was going to end the show instead of the six man tag (especially doing the post-match stuff the way they did). It turns out that this was done on purpose, as Roman Reigns addressed this feeling by wondering if this was a trap set for him by the Authority. He told Renee that if it does turn out to be a trap, she should run... and that in order to run fast, she should take off her high heels. Roman's delivery of this line was really weird; like he was trying to hide the fact that he had a foot fetish or something.
Someone brought a sign that said "Fifty Shades of Reigns." I hope this person gets a flat tire on the way home. A much better sign was "I'm only happy when it Reigns"
Anyway, Reigns said some stuff. His bit on Randy was pretty good, but the rest of it was dull. Then Hunter showed up on the screen and booked Reigns vs. Kane for Smackdown. Then Kane came don the ramp and they traded a few blows before Reigns got the better of Kane, clotheslining him over the top rope. Kane managed to land on his feet, though, and in the only good part of this, Kane summoned pyro and Reigns totally no-sold it.
A dull episode of Main Event. Stop watching after the six man tag.
