BRM Reviews the 11/1/2014 ROH (STYLES VS. SYDAL!)

MATT SYDAL PROMO- not so good. Very scattered.

MARK BRISCOE vs. CAPRICE COLEMAN- 5.75/10
Fun babyface vs. babyface opener.

NIGEL MCGUINNESS MEETS WITH TOMMASO CIAMPA- Nigel says he will reinstate Ciampa, but with a zero tolerance policy. If Ciampa lays his hand on any ROH staff member ever again he will be fired.
Ciampa assumes he is getting a world title shot next week. Nigel tells him he'll have to work his way up from the bottom, which makes a lot of sense when you consider that the thing that drove Ciampa nuts was losing an ROH World Title match. Ciampa is unhappy about this and threatens Nigel. Ciampa says that 2008 Nigel would give him a title shot. Jay Briscoe shows up and is angry at Ciampa for disrespecting Nigel and says he will fight Ciampa if he wants. Ciampa wants a match with Jay. They swipe at each other and shove each other. Nigel orders Ciampa to leave the ring and he does, although Jay calling him a little b*tch doesn't help diffuse things. While Nigel and the refs are busy herding Ciampa out of the building, The Kingdom jumps Jay from behind and beats him down. Mark tries to make the save, but he winds up eating a Doomsday Device.

BJ WHITMER GIVES ADAM PAGE A PEP TALK- good

BRUTAL BURGERS vs. THE DECADE (BJ Whitmer & Adam Page) (w/Jimmy Jacobs)- 4.25/10
A good juxtaposition of a young guy teaming with a veteran. Page assaults Cheeseburger after the match on the Decade's orders.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM MARK BRSICOE, THE ROMANTIC TOUCH, & DELIRIOUS- pointless and wacky.

AJ STYLES vs. MATT SYDAL- 8/10
An awesome match, and an awesome return to ROH for Sydal. I probably would have booked this as a draw, but maybe New Japan didn't want their champion going to a draw with a Dragon Gate guy.

An awesome show from ROH.

You got any idea why they're claiming Mark Briscoe is now an ordained minister?

If I remember correctly, at some point last year, he got a license as a justice of the peace so that he could perfrom a friend's wedding. I think they're just exaggerating the actual "minister" part.

No they randomly started claiming it at Death Before Dishonor this year where Steve Corino said he went back to school that week and became an ordained minister

I definitely remember the friend's wedding story from some time last year. I assume Corino decided to make it into a joke.

Like I said, I assume that is just when Corino decided to make it into a joke. I definitely remember it being brought up at one point last year or early this year.
