After reading rave reviews about The Undertaker's silent confrontation with Triple H on Raw, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon quickly announced plans for a new WWE show that will have all of the drama of sports entertainment without all of the pesky talking.
"It's called 'Maimed and Mimed,'" explains McMahon. "Every week, our superstars will compete with no commentary and no talking in the ring. Even the crowd will be silent. We'll still do interviews, but no one can say a word. Talk about innovative!"
Critics have already questioned this new format, especially the ban on talking in the ring.
"Does Vince know how wrestling works?" asked one opponent of the new show. "If they don't talk to each other, they won't know what to do out there. They'll all look like Mark Henry. The silent crowd thing shouldn't be a problem though. They've been doing that for years now."
Details are still sketchy, but we can confirm the show will air on Friday nights at 10:00. McMahon said he wants to give viewers a chance to recover after listening to Booker T for two hours.
