Televisa Deportes is reporting that Rey Mysterio has officially retired from Professional Wrestling. This comes after the tragic death of El Hijo del Perro Aguayo, who past away on Friday March 20, in a match where he and Manik were taking on Rey Mysterio and Xtreme Tiger.

Rey Mysterio debuted in wrestling in April 30, 1989. He is a former WWE Champion.

Understandable, but hopefully this isn't the end from Rey. I'm sure he'll be getting a call from JR with the same speech JR gave D'Lo.

Despite reports to the contrary all over the Internet today, Rey Mysterio made it clear tonight at the WaleMania event that he has no plans to retire.
