Wow. I didn't realize how little of the stands the stage and stuff were taking up. Good work by WWE there.
That getting roasted in the sun thing (and the fact that an open air stadium doesn't keep the sound in (plus the obvious concern of weather) are the major reasons that if I was booking Mania, I'd make sure to always have it in a dome.
As for how WWE did it well when others didn't, I'd say that a part of it is that they were able to learn from the NHL and NFL's experiences.
