OPENING SEGMENT- good.

NXT TITLE MATCH: Kevin Owens(c) vs. Adrian Neville- 6.75/10
Great opener.
On commentary, neither Cena nor JBL seem to realize that Babe Ruth is no longer the home run king. More importantly, though, Cole flat out asked Cena “what does this match mean for you if you lose?” and Cena didn’t have an answer other than (paraphrasing) “it means Owens is better than me.” Way to sell your match there, John.

THE AUTHORITY BACKSTAGE- good… except for all of the times that they’ve set crap up like this in the past but then had the interference anyway, just for the swerve (Orton vs. Big Show from Survivor Series 2013 immediately springs to mind).

REPLAY OF A PAIGE PROMO FROM SMACKDOWN- great!

RENEE YOUNG INTERVIEWS NIKKI BELLA- apparently Paige is getting another title shot at Money in the Bank. Fine. But what are they going to do advance the feud; to let us now that we won’t get the same ending we did on Raw?

NIKKI BELLA vs. SUMMER RAE- 3/10

MONEY IN THE BANK TALKING SEGMENT- Good, aside from the Truth thing. G-d forbid we actually have some development and can focus on a man who has conquered his fears and laud this as the admirable feat that it is.

RANDY ORTON vs. SHEAMUS- 6.5/10
Just like last week, the problem here is that they are building very well to a Sheamus vs. Orton Street Fight… except that the match we’re going to get is a ladder match with these two guys and six others.

ROLLINS & THE STOOGERWEIGHTS BACKSTAGE- WE’RE GETTING SETH ROLLINS VS. JAMES GIBSON!
Also, Joey Mercury will be in there, but ROLLINS VS. GIBSON!

KANE vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Lana)- 6.5/10
They had a decent match going. Then they did a double-down and Rusev showed up and tried to talk to Lana. She didn’t want to, but he tried to block her way… so she just walked right of the edge of the ramp like a f*cking idiot, and twisted her ankle because she was wearing ridiculous heels. Then Rusev slowly backed away on his crutches before starting to laugh at Lana’s idiocy and it was all laughter-inducing. This allowed Kane to chokelsam Dolph and beat him. Then Dolph and a million referees swarmed Lana and were all overacting as if she had smacked her head on the concrete rather than twisting an ankle.

MORE DOLPH AND LANA STUFF- GEEZ! It’s just a twisted anke. Jey Uso had surgery and hasn’t even gotten any attention.

So Big Show loses his big match to Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules, then comes back and is getting an IC Title shot?

MIZ TV WITH BIG SHOW & RYBACK- boring as hell.

ERICK ROWAN & LUKE HARPER vs. LOS MATADORES (w/El Tortio)- squash
Dammit! The one time I decide to actually watch Superstars, we get a direct (and equally pointless) rematch on Raw the next week!

LUKE HARPER & ERICK ROWAN PROMO- apparently the time to pay for our sins is coming and the judgement is waiting at our door. Also, it’s okay to be afraid. Harper was good, Rowan was not.

KANE & ROLLINS BACKSTAGE- good build for a potential Rollins vs. Kane match which at this point I’m certain we will never get.

AMBROSE’S JOURNEY, AS CHARTED BY INSTIGRAM- I actually thought this was a good use of social media.
TITUS O’NEIL (w/Darren Young) vs. BIG E. w/the New Day)- 2.5/10
Titus should have gone over. PTP are getting title shot at the PPV!

ROMAN REIGNS vs. KOFI KINGSTON (w/the New Day)- 7/10
Heel strategy huddle from the New Day! I MUST HAVE MORE OF THIS!
These two could have had such an awesome match with Kofi avoiding the spear at every turn until Roman finally manages to hit it to counter Trouble in Paradise for the finish.

DEAN SHOWS UP- wow. That girl standing in the aisle seat by Roman with the “Spear Me Roman Reigns!” sign with the hearts on it looked like she just creamed herself getting to touch both Roman and Dean.

Also… if Dean bought a ticket, why did Roman need to get him a chair? Shouldn’t there have been one already there?

HANDICAP MATCH: Seth Rollins vs. Jamie Noble & Joey Mercury (w/Kane)- 6/10
Fun for what it was, but it shouldn’t have been the main event. I also hated Rollins getting pinned here. They made him look like such a geek that I’d almost believe the “Roman wins MITB, Dean beats Rollins, Roman turns heel by chasing in on Dean” theory.

An okay episode of Raw. It was a decent go-home show for a PPV with so few matches on it.
