WWE Looking For It's Next Giant

Post by Bob-O » Mar 4th, '11, 07:45

While working on my other FCW post the other night I took a detour through FCW's roster page. There's usually some underlying themes overall, giving an idea as to what creative is looking for. This time through I noticed a few things, but most notably, I found 6 guys over 6'9"! Obviously, all of them aren't going to be going to one of the main rosters, but it's clear that WWE is looking for their next Big Man. Here's a look at what I found, some of these guys might look a ~little~ familiar. Bare in mind that these guys are ALL under contract with WWE and could show up on Raw or Smackdown at any time!

Image
Russell Walker "The Man Mountain"
Auckland, New Zealand - 6'10" - 310 lbs

Apparently one monster ginger wasn't enough for either the scouts or creative. "The Man Mountain" is what I believe Heath Slater might look like after a Scott Steiner "Pill Party".

Image
Jason Mullen "The Irish Nighmare"
Dublin, Ireland - 7' - 325 lbs

Not a whole lot to talk about here. Maybe he needs to be seen in person... or something...
His profile says "The self proclaimed Northern Irish Nightmare has left his native homeland with one thing on his mind, world domination and doesn't intend to stop until he achieves his goal." The first step in a quest of World Domination is becoming a professional wrestler... seems logical.

Image
Jackson Andrews "The Bodyguard"
Houston, Tx - 7'1" - 340 lbs

We've seen him before as the bodyguard of Tyson Kidd. He was sent back to FCW for seasoning, despite never making an in ring debut.

Image
Eli Cottonwood
River Falls, WI - 7' 2" - 320 lbs

We've also already been introduced to Mr. Cottonwood on NXT Season 2. His promo about mustaches will forever be remembered like a fart in church. His bio on the FCW Website says, "...when Eli is riled, there is not a force in the Universe that can stop him." Statement noted. I will do my best not to rile Eli.

Image
Buck Dixon
Princeton, WV - 6' 10" - 305 lbs

Buck reportedly is WWE's next big thing. He cuts promos like Roddy Piper and it's said that he once shot on William Regal, making him tap and say he was sorry. Sorry for what? We might never know. Vince McMahon is very high up on this young man, and has projected that he'll be main eventing Wrestlemania in 2013.

I made all that up. He's actually Henry Godwin's kid, and from the looks of things his wrestling style is "Staying Awake". I mean, really!? Was the camera low on batteries, or is this really the best head shot they could produce? Also worth noting, his stats say he's 6' 10", but his bio mentions him being 6' 6"...

Image
Brodus Clay
"Concrete Jungle" - 6' 9" - 420 lbs

Brodus was a featured talent on this latest season of NXT (I quit counting them). I didn't pay much attention to it, but I know he didn't win. From what I've heard though, he was the best thing on it. I'd expect him to show up on Raw or Smackdown more sooner than later. Once again, worth noting, his stats say 6' 9" and 420 lbs; his bio mentions him being 6' 8" and 360 lbs. I'll accept the fact that these guys are athletes and tend to gain and lose weight. I'm concerned that a few of them appear to be growing or shrinking...

Thanks for Reading! I'll See You In The Threads!

None of these have that decent "big man" look except Jackson Andrews, he was buried by Mark Henry for crying out loud.

Jason Mullen looks like Husky Harris...

Eli Cottonwood just comes across as ridiculously dumb...

Buck Dixon looks like Killdozer without any hair...

and Brodus Clay just has a biggest pair of man tits I've EVER seen...

Russell Walker... well... he needs no comment..

Haha they are impressive, but he's got nothing on Big Daddy V.

Big Daddy V's tits had tattoos under them. They had there own shadow. On another note, I do think that Brodus Clay is the best out of that list. he doesn't have much to offer on the wrestling ability, but the big man was destroying people on NXT. The WWE does need, as Mickey would say, another "WRECKING MACHINE!!!".
