As seen on Monday’s WWE RAW during The Rock’s return segment, fans dressed as WWE Legends Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, Randy Savage and Rock were shown at ringside.

Before Rock’s segment, the fan dressed as Savage was doing various Macho Man mannerisms and this is why fans were chanting “Randy Savage” during the show. WWE officials backstage did not like the chants and after the Kane vs. Bray Wyatt match, security was sent to tell the fans to calm it down. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the fans were taken out at one point but let back in and told to calm down, which they did.

Then while The Rock was cutting a promo, he saw the fans at ringside and went to speak to them on camera. According to The Observer, people backstage were “freaking” because they were already mad at those fans for distracting the crowd, and now they were getting TV time. The feeling was that if anyone else besides John Cena would have done the same thing, they would have been fired, but Rock can pretty much do what he wants and go off-script.

I know The Rock is a WWE legend. But if it's unnecessary and you don't like it, scold him!

I hated his appearance on Raw. It was just crap.

WWE needs to stop the WCW trend of putting legends over their current talent.

this is what i love, they get upset and freak out and blow a gasket and what now, and what the fuck are you gonna do? nothing, because the Rock is bigger that you. shut your mouth and know your role.

Honestly, its good that he did it. It showed me, and those guys, that someone in that company gives a rat's a** about their fans and actually cares and wants them to have a good time. God knows management doesn't care, with the way their superstars are being booked.

I see what you're saying, but for things like that I much prefer when a guy like Cena will point out individual fans in the crowd. Guys dressing up in costume has become a bit of a problem recently as it usually leads to the crowd getting distracted, and what The Rock did here gave those guys the spotlight. I understand that Rock did it because he realized that the only way to get the crowd to ignore those guys was to acknowledge them and then move on, but doing it the way he did also encourages other people to do it in the future because you might get TV spotlight if you do.

He should have made a quicker job of it than giving them 2 minutes of TV time.

Just a joke about "having all the legends present for The Rock" would have done.
