BRM Reviews the 3/19/2016 ROH

We opened (if you are watching on the ROH website, anyway) with a plug for the Philly VOD. GREAT! Unfortunately, this plug decided to make mention of CHEESEBURGER... but not THE BRISCOES, WAR MACHINE, OR MOOSE.
OPENING SEGMENT- Veda Scott tries to pay off BJ Whitmer to let Cedric take his place in this title shot. Kevin Kelly appears to be contractually obligated to refer to Veda as the "caterwauling counselor" every time she shows up. That's the only reason I can think of that he would use that lame moniker over and over. Whitmer decides to sell out and accept Veda's offer... and apparently ROH management is totally okay with this. They didn't even check with Ishii to see if he was okay with this, or even if he wanted some extra time to prepare for this new opponent.
ROH TV TITLE MATCH: Tomohiro Ishii(c) vs, Cedric Alexander- 6.5/10
Very fun opener that made good use of the fact that no one really expected Ishii to retain the belt past this weekend.
ADDICTION PROMO- good. Then MCMG came out, cut a promo on them and wanted to fight but the Addiction ran off. Solid stuff.
RENO SCUM vs. THE BRISCOE BROTHERS-5/10
Kevin Kelly said it has been almost two years since the Briscoes went after the tag titles. I can remember at least one title shot they got last year.
With all of the talk about the different teams looking to win the tag team titles, how was there no mention of Roppongi Vice, who just won a big gauntlet for a tag title shot last week?
Reno Scum looked good, but they're name is dumb.
DALTON CASTLE PROMO- meh. I was expecting a lot more hype for his Fight Without Honor with Silas Young.
Apparently Nigel has signed Addiction vs. MCMG for two weeks from tonight.
YOUNG BUCKS vs. MICHAEL ELGIN & HIROSHI TANAHASHI- 7.5/10
I assume these wins are building up to Elgin and Tanahashi getting a shot at the tag titles at Global Wars 2016.
A good show from ROH.
