Although Braun Strowman competed in the main event of Raw last week (he beat Dean Ambrose via disqualification), his standing in the company is beginning to decline.

Vince McMahon loves his look and his presence, but feels he’s lacking in the wrestling department. This, however, is mostly due to inexperience. He’s only been wrestling since December 2014 and had competed in less than ten matches in front of a crowd when he was fast-tracked to the main roster in August.

While the company will continue to protect his character, his in-ring work is hindering from being put in a top-level position at this time.

Yup. How do you think Norman Smiley or Sara Del Rey or Albert felt down at NXT seeing Vince take this guy from the main roster.


This apparently isn't the first time this has happened either. Cornette said in a shoot interview that once Lashley showed up in OVW he and Danny Davis said "we need to hide this guy from Vince until we can get him properly trained because otherwise Vince will just take up to the main roster immediately.

you would imagine that WWE would have this guy (or any other that they have pushed without experience) fly in to the performance center every non-RAW/SD to have him intensively train

I somehow feel like this isn't actually Vince, but someone else, because let's be real, Vince doesn't care about wrestling ability. If he did, things would be drastically different...

There's a difference between not caring that someone isn't better than mediocre and not caring that someone can barely do anything because he is as green as goose poop that got covered in pollen and then fell into a vat of green paint from an environmentally-friendly factory.

When you want to build something around a guy who can do a clothesline and a bearhug and that's about it, I worry.

BUT Strowman is near 7ft with a chest even The Rock would think is "a bit too much" and that's what Vinnie Mac loves, sadly if you don't have the ring presence or the promo power, it can fall flat. Very very flat. I like Harper & Rowan far more than I do Strowman. Harper is tremendously athletic and able for his size and the man has presence and can cut a promo... you want a new monster in the house? That's your monster.
