Former WCW and ECW star turned WWE Producer Dean Malenko will miss Wrestlemania week as he is recovering from a surgical procedure that took place about a week ago, PWInsider.com has learned. A number of the other WWE Producer are pitching in to cover Malenko's usual duties.
Malenko, a second generation international star, was one half of one of the most influential series of matches of the 1990s against Eddie Guerrero in WCW and ECW and held a multitude of championships before retiring in 2001 at the final Brian Pillman Memorial Show. Since then, he's been an important part of WWE's locker room as a Producer.
On behalf of everyone associated with PWInsider.com, I'd like to wish Malenko and his family nothing but the best.
